I love this book! This is an amazing series written by a very funny man. I highly recommend this series. Make sure you listen to all of them.

What a FANTASTIC author!!! I’m not usually a fan of single narrators but this fella is great! This is the third audio book of his I’ve listened to and I really look forward to the next.

I have bought the books and given them as gifts to my nephew! He loved it as well.

Very entertaining and a fun adventure. My only complaint is I had to keep listening....even when I should have been working! Thank you for the books. I will buy for my daughter to read. Cheers.

I drive about 9 hrs a day so I listen to a lot of stories . This had me hooked and had a great couple days listening can't weight for the next story loved shadow magic this was a great second part will be looking for part3 great story

I am always searching for free podcasts while waiting for my favorite new episodes from others. This series is by far one of my new favorites. Great story and the author narrates his work masterfully! You won't be disappointed.

The only negative is that the plot is predictable but THANKFULLY I love trying to guess the ending so that is my own fault. lol Love Conner and there is a reason why there are no negative reviews. It is a great serious. You are missing out if you do not jump into this series. Even had me researching celtic lore. Going to make my own runes. Thanks again John!!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and its prequel- if you haven't heard the excellent Shadowmagic, I recommend hearing that first-this one will make more sense afterwards.

So sweet how u imagined this story ip for your son! :) The word 'Magic' put me off but I don't know why because it really seems like a real place & the characters have such strong personalities & it wasn't scary or weird! This is an outstanding sequal to the original Shadowmagic. A little slow in the first chapter but after that it picks up and is a very worth while read...err.. listen.

I just received the paperback edition of Shadowmagic...after listening to these two amazing books...and just can't wait for the next story to come out! No pressure Mr. Lenahan, but I'm chomping at the bit. I'll try and be patient, I noticed there were 5 years between the first two books, but it takes what it takes. Thanks for all the joy so far. You are definitely talented. I will listen to them for years to come. Oh, please please read the next book too! You are the BEST speaker! Perfection.

This storie is orgasmic

I've been following Shawodmagic from the begining, but never really had the courage to write, and I have to say that when Hazel and Oak came out I did a fan girl squeel of joy. I am absolutly in love with this book and have been preaching the Shadowmagic gospel to anyone who is willing to listen, and many that aren't. This book was so fantastic, and I can't wait to buy 40 copies and leave them at every hotel I stay in. Fantastic listen/read, John you're absolutly brilliant.

Nice to be immersed via all my senses. This book transports me. Jimmy.

Fun, entertaining, descriptive, great story! Just my kind of book. I was looking for entertainment for a long drive and was drawn in from the first chapter and found myself wanting to ignore all else to get back to the story. I actually looked forward to the next long drive so that I could continue the story. My kids found the reader to be annoying, but I didn't notice anything wrong. The author did a fairly good job of different characters. Waiting for book 3!

This is an excellent podiobook and a great sequel to Shadowmagic. However I am dropping a star as the chapters will not download to my iPhone 4 through the iTunes app on the phone. I do not have this problem with any other books so it appears to be specific to this distribution.

Since the last episode was added, none of the episodes (including earlier ones) are supported by the iPhone; there seems to be a formatting issue. Hopefully this will be resolved soon, as I look forward to the next instalments of this wonderfully written story. Keep up the excellent writing and dramatic production work!

This second book of the series is just as enjoyable as the first. I only regret having listened to the them as fast as i can. So i wait in great anticipation.

I have listened to quite a few Podiobooks lately and have found that John has one of the best reading voices out there. The story is written with a great sense of youthful comedy and has a wonderful mix of intrigue, excitement, and adventure. This style of book is most definitely my favorite and John doesn't dissapoint at all! The only thing I could complain about is that I listened too fast and caught up with the author...haha, oh well. I'll stay captivated. BTW - Anyone else feel Mr. Lanahan has a voice strikingly similar to that of John Cusack (who I also think has a great narrating voice) ...

Very good story funny and action filled. I only hate having to wait for a new episode. I'd prefer it if they wouldn't release short 15minute episodes. I usually wait till i've atleast 3 episodes built up before listening.

I loved the first book, and worried about the second one. Sequels often fall short. However, I was surprised to find myself liking this one better than the first! My only problem with it, is that I can hardly wait the week for the next one to come out!

I could go on about the quality of the writing (superb), the character development and the storytelling (top-notch and first-rate, in no particular order), but what I want to do is draw attention to what some others have had to say about this wonderful story: it's so much FUN! I happen to be the kind of guy who likes harsh, grim stories, so listening to and enjoying John Lenahans' work is a bit of a departure for me. The best way I can think of to describe how enjoyable I find his work is to simply say this: as I listen to the chapters, I find myself grinning and laughing along with the sheer joy that comes through the natrrative. Sure, you have your jokes and funny situations, but in the end, what makes this tale stay with you is the knack Mr. Lenehan has for giving the audience a taste of the wonder and magic to be found in the world he has constructed, adn all of it spiced with the joy and fun to be had if one were to discover such a place. If you have never heard a word of this story or Shadowmagic, part one of the series, I would advise you to drop every other podcast you may be listening to and give them a try. You won't regret it.
