    Zero Hour
Wish the many commercials were edited out of these. Also wish they’d present the full 5 parts (many of the zero hour episodes were presented each weeknight M-Fri and each story was told in 5 parts) Cool Elliot Lewis production from the mid 70’s!

    People are so ungrateful
Complaints from people receiving FREE content show the “give me” attitude among the younger sector. Jeez people be grateful- stop complaining just enjoy the programs.

    This is a great podcast
I have also noticed some sequences out of order, but if not for this podcast we wouldn't be able to enjoy such a great, vintage series.

    Only Hosted By Rod Serling
Almost all the negative reviews address the technical issues, so I don't need to. I will address that the Zero Hour radio show is only hosted by the great Rod Serling. He does a mini intro to the show, a proper intro to the episode, and at the end, he does a mini preview of the next episode. Wikipedia mentions he may have written some episodes, but I do NOT believe this is true. Also, the writing is a bit hokey for the early 1970s. The style may have worked in the 30s and 40s, but does seem painfully dated at times. Most episodes are set in the "real" world. A small few have otherworld or supernatural elements. Some are "Sky Lab, Are You There?", "There Is A Man In Room 211", "Lost In Time", and "The Strange Odyssey of Sally Mitchell." The voice acting is a strong plus. This show is really only for the most die-hard Rod Serling completionist.

    Waste of Time
These are interesting stories but the series comes out over multiple weeks, and is ALWAYS OUT OF ORDER. I realize it's a free podcast, but why bother doing it if you're not going to even put any effort into it. It's a shame, it could be a nice podcast.

    Fun but needs some editing
These stories are fun and it's very cool to find them in a podcast FREE! That being said, I think it'd be nice if HC Productions took the time to do a little editing on these. Some of the episodes are out of order, for example, the episode titled Deadman's Tale 5 of 5 is actually the last episode of a different story. Some of the episodes have poor audio and/or skips and glitches. It's possible that these could be cleaned up a little. Still, these are being offered free so I don't think the poor quality really counts against it too much. If HC took the time to edit each one, they probaby wouldn't be free. Audacity is a freeware program that you can download online to clean up the audio of these podcasts for your personal use in your iPod, if you're so inclined. I have used it with success. Also, the episodes include radio commercials. Granted, they are old commercials from the 70's so you may enjoy the nostalgia of them, but I find all commericals detract from shows (on radio or TV)--it breaks the mood for me. So you may or may not like the commericals, but there are a few--usually 4 commerical breaks per episode. Update Jan. 2011- It's been a LONG time since any NEW stories were added. Granted, the Zero Hour wasn't a long-running show but I expected more stories than this podcast offers. Stories are being repeated now (e.g. Heir Hunters has been posted twice, etc.). Hard to complain too much as HC Prod is offering these FREE, but it'd be nice to be able to get the full library of stories--EDITED AND CLEANED UP FOR GOOD AUDIO--on here.

    Abrupt endings
Downloaded each part of the Fourth of Forever series, and was surprised that the 5th part ended after approximately 20 minutes. It seems like the last 5-6 minutes or so run time was cut. Can this missing content be restored?

    Great sound, incorrect episodes
The stories and sound are great! Unfortunately, the episodes are not always correct. When they are incorrect or not in the right order, this really effects the podcast as the earlier episodes were 5 part stories. Miss/mislabel one and you are left with an incomplete episode. Please, PLEASE fix this as this is one of the best radio drama podcasts out there.

    Dead Man
Just downloaded all of the Zero hour......Dead Man's Tale episode # 5 is not Dead Man's tale. The Episode is from When Two are Dead. Can you fix this? I wrote to the people and received an e-mail that stated they would look into it. So I hope they do because I really enjoyed this story.

    Really Great, Want More
I really like these podcasts, they are the perfect thing to listen to at work. But there are a lot more episodes that aren't included here. When will the rest be added?

    The Zero Hour
I am a fan of the Twilight Zone. So, when I saw this podcast, I started listening. This is very good. Keep on pocasting!

    Zero Hour
I'm curious as to why the podcasts are no longer grouped by episode. Previously, parts 1 thru x were posted together, or at least sequentially so that a listener could enjoy the entire story from beginning to end. Now they are posted randomly, and are incomplete. More than incomplete, only one segment of any 3 to 5 part episodes are posted now. This should be sorted out as soon as possible, otherwise how can a listener enjoy the podcast hearing only part 3 of a 5 part series? This is a shame as the Zero hour series is a great example of excellent radio drama well past the golden age of radio. A number of actors in this series were also performing on TV and film during the same period.

    Please Fix
I was so very excited about this one but due to the negative comments and bad feedback I have decided not to suscribe. Hopefully iTunes will see this and correct the problem

    Zero Hour: Dead Man
Aggravating to spend two hours listening to 4 of 5 parts and finding out only then that part 5 isn't the right file. I listened through the old advertisements, which didn't bother me, and suffered through the poor audio quality - including high-pitched squealing and very edgy treble - as it was an interesting story. I did not suffer the "repeat" glitches others have reported, but investing that much time only to not know the resolution of the story is not readily excused.

    Any Podcast from Humphrey Camardella
These Guys are very dissapointing. Every Podcast they put out has an initial 4-5 minutes of their commercials and now they are even putting their commercials in the middle of the Podcasts. Some weeks, when you're expecting a program, it's only a commerical from them. C'mon Guys, you take a nice idea and turn it into anything but enjoyable. (and you are sneeky about it) My recomendation is to go to Relic Radio, Case Closed and others to get what you really want; an enjoyable evening listening to Old Time Radio, you won't get that with any of these Podcasts.

    Sloppy episode posting!
Don't get me wrong, I like the show Zero Hour quite well. I'm just not happy with the way the stories are posted in this podcast. The people posting them obviously have not listened to the stories. Almost every story posted in this podcast has the episodes in the wrong order, or some episodes are missing, while others repeat. It's very difficult to listen to a story from beginning to end without missing a portion of it, and that's extremely FRUSTRATING.

48kps? Radio never sounded so crappy.
I feel like jerk saying this since it's been made available for free, but, the quality negates the good intentions. Can we all agree that 48kps is only acceptable to make streaming files available to cpu's with a slow connection?

    Good stuff.
Technical issues notwithstanding , this is a great program peripherally touched by the great Rod Serling. Worth dealing with the technical hiccups sadly common with this podcaster.

    Still good stuff!
If you can get passed a few mistakes........what great tells

I saw The Blessing Way re-posted, I thought they'd fixed it and posted the sections in consecutive order. But no. I was so hopeful and idealistic, now I'm bitter and jaded. Listen to The Blessing Way in this order: 3, 4, 1, 2, 5 Listen to Someones Death in this order: 4, 5, 1, 2, 3
  • theolliellama
    So close
Maybe I've just had bad luck but only one of the stories (out of five I tried) worked for me. Either the files were mislabled so the story starts in the middle, or the file says it's 15 min, but when you download it, it says it's an hour and a half and cuts out at some random time. I can't understand people giving it anything more than one star. Having files that are listenable is the very *least* I expect. Before I rate the quality of the material, I have to be able to actually *listen* to to it. Don't waste your time.

Title Issues, but love the program
I'm enjoying the stories and the sound quality compared to other OTR shows, but it's frustrating to have to guess the sequence of the multiple-part episodes because they are often labeled wrong.
  • daddyllac
    Give me a freak'in break
Do you brain surgeons @ itunes realize that "The Blessing Way" is already posted? It was like the second series of five. Otherwise, this is a great podcast with the exception of itunes being asleep at the wheel. WAKE UP DUMMYS!!!!!!!!
  • Janellybean
    Frustration
The content would be good, if the files were not defective. Some files repeat and skip around within the download, and others are uploaded in scattered order. This wouldn't be that big of a deal, except that most of the stories are a single part of a 5 part story. I hate to be critical of something that is being offered for no charge, but I also value my time. There is no reason to waste your's on this when there are so many other great old time radio podcasts that are fun, not frustrating.

    AWESOME!!
This is a great Podcast....thank you for sharing this! I listen to my i-pod all day @ work so I appreciate a good story, and love the "classics"
  • bmj2k
    Posted in wrong order
Many of the stories are downloaded in the wrong order. The Blessing Way had to be listened to starting with 3, then 4, 1, 2, 5. Very annoying.
  • ithambo
    Incorrect episode broadcast
The 3rd episode of "A Die in the Country" seems to be a repeat of the second. Can this be corrected? I hope so, because this is a great show.
  • metutu
Another wrong episode added.....A Die in the Country 3 of 5.
I really like this podcast. It keeps my attention well. It is therefore very disappointing when looking forward to the next part it turns out to be a repeat of the part before....(and Dead Man's Tale 5 of 5 still hasn't been fixed).
  • Juno Speaks Truth
    Great stories badly produced
The early podcasts are plagued by an encoding error, which causes them to appear to be about an hour and a half long when they are actually less than 30 minutes long. Not a big deal, unless you can't listen to an episode in one sitting. If you press pause, you are forced to fast-forward through the entire episode in order to get to where you left off. Dead Man's Tale is missing its final chapter, and the end of another episode was uploaded in its place. Perhaps the producer is trying to one-up Rod Serling by forcing the listener to guess the story's end. That said, please keep uploading the podcasts! Even with the glitches, the stories are still excellent, and I love the old commercials. Just fix Dead Man's Tale, and I'll be a happy listener.
  • incognito82
Wrong episode added - Dead Mans Tale 5 of 5.
"Dead Mans Tale" is interesting story like all others but episode 5 of 5 does not belong to this series. This needs to be corrected. Otherwise really great podcast to listen to.
  • damemarie
    Love the Broadcast.
This is one of my favorite podcasts. But I wish they would repost 5 of 5 in Dead Mans Tale because it is really 5 of 5 If Two Were Dead. Disappointing since it is the conclusion of the story..
  • mesomorphicman
    Too many commercials
I'm a fan or Mr. Serling and tried to like this, really did, but commercials every 3-5 minutes are too annoying. As soon as I get into the story, bam - 2-3 minute commercial break. I got tired of fast-forwarding and unsubscribed. Other OTR programs I have have no or only 1-2 commercials.
  • numberlock
    Content scrambled
Many of the OTR podcast shows by Humphrey Camardella Productions have the same issue.

Tech Glitch ... Re-record them for us
I have experienced the same repeat after pausing or restarting my car with iPod adaptor in it. It makes it frustrating to find your spot again in the story. Otherwise the stories are very enjoyable.
  • Triple-L
Excellent show but podcast files have defect
Some of these recordings repeat when you un-pause them to continue listening. They seem to randomly jump to an earlier portion of the podcast. It becomes frustrating especially on an iPhone when trying to find your actual point of departure. The show itself is superb. Exactly what I'd expect from Rod Serling. Great mystery and great acting!

    a flash from the past!
Excellent! I stumbled onto this podcast by accident, but having the opportunity to listen to some of the greats like John Astin act out classic books is spectacular. I'm only 26 so hearing some of the classic commercials and commentary is amazing to me! Keep them coming!!
  • Cindy listens
    recording repeats
I love the concept of this podcast, but some of the podcasts have glitches in them, where certain portions are repeated over and over, at times making an approximate 30 minute podcast be 2 to 3 times longer! It is frustrating to try to skip through the repeats to get the whole uninterupted story. I hope the creator of this series will go through the "long" podcasts, clean them up, and repost them. Then this would be a FANTASTIC podcast.

    AMAZING!!!
A great radio drama! I cant wait for more to come out. It is just like the Twilight Zone!
