    Love this podcast!
My friend at work turned me on to this podcast and I can't get enough! The weird facts they find each episode are so interesting! This is on my weekly podcast rotation!

    Best podcast ever!
I’m an info junkie, and I know that all the info on this podcast is TRUE and researched. It’s fun to listen to it as it is not just one person talking (reading) about something. And no politics. Just some really weird and interesting facts. Love it!

I know Mongolia has a lot of fascinating and delicious milk curd foods as well, Airag is alcohol made from fermented mare’s milk, Aaruul is a dried curd, there is a clotted cream based dessert (khailmag). Really interesting rabbit hole to tangent on, especially because of how far back Mongolian culture’s relationship with milk goes. There is a study of gut biomes of Mongolian Nomads (Zhang et al., 2014) that led to the differential expression analysis, which provides insight into the molecular mechanisms of various diseases. Anyway, great show!

    Weird
Life, is filled with all kinds of weirdness. This podcast is filled with some of the best weirdness you could ever imagine. The hosts and guests do a fantastic job. Keep up the great work. We must all continue to grow our weird minds.

    Lots of “um”
I wanted so badly to like this show but the amount of “um” is distracting.
  • ipapamore5B
    Nope
Within 2 minutes they started groomer advocacy.

    I love you guys!!
You make my day brighter and I truly feel like I’ve learned so much more history and science than I ever did in school. Thank you for the laughs and getting me through high school! Love you guys!!! 💖 P.S. I’m an aspiring journalist and am wondering what the best route for internships and college/career paths you guys recommend following. I love traveling and learning history (and weird facts 😁) so I’m curious to what you guys would recommend for starting a career!

    Love love love
These goofballs are amazing and they make my day brighter. I laugh every episode and always feel smarter at the end. ***I live about two miles from the P&G headquarters, better known as the fake poop factory. Hometown pride like nothing else. Go Cats.

    April 26, 2023 episode doesn’t play
April 26 episode not playing in the native podcast app in the Apple iPod device. (Trying to add it to the playlist closes the app.) The topics are great. Podcast would also be great if you can go easy on the giggles, enunciate clearly, don’t talk over each other and generally slow down the delivery. Edit, 05/2024: Emphasize that the podcast host (Rachel?) needs to stop talking over her guests’ portions; especially when they are giving information of a technical nature. E.g. The hyrax classification question the guest was clarifying was totally lost due to this.

    Interesting to listen to
This podcast is very interesting. Each episode is well written and well researched. I wish the three hosts were not so silly. The hosts can sound very juvenile at times. Update: The subject matter is still interesting but the silliness and constant laughter is worse. The podcast reminds me of a slumber party sometimes. It's a shame because I love weird science. The hosts and guests are smart but their behaviors are getting in the way of the content I'm trying to hear.

I love this podcast. I work from home in pharmacy and I used to have the tv on but somehow I migrated to podcasts and found you guys! So happy! Love yall and keep up the excellent content ❤️

    Curious and a little annoyed
Caveat, I’ve only listened to a couple of episodes and found the podcast to be enjoyable. BUT WHY in the intro does Rachel say they will hear teasers then “decide which one we have to absolutely hear about first” when Rachel ALWAYS goes first?!?!
  • Blablabla9100000
    Love this podcast
Super smart, quirky, funny, female scientist hosts!…. Need I say more?…I will. The episodes have loads of fun and interesting facts about historical and sciencey events that are unbelievable & enlightening about how weird humans are. Pepppered with the opinions of funny people. I listen to it while I work all day. Chef’s kiss.
  • LKBFischer
Interesting content, presentation can be annoying
Like many other reviewers, I love the weird & fascinating science stories. (5 stars) And I struggle to listen because of the poor presentation skills of the hosts & some guests. (1 star) I want to listen all the time but I get so annoyed. Presentation is a skill that can be practiced & improved- I would love if the hosts would take a class to make it more bearable.

Like sorry, like can’t stand all the likes
Like I tried this like app. And like the facts were like interesting, but like hearing the like word every 5 seconds was so annoying, I like had to turn it like off. Listen and count your likes.

    Favorite podcast!
I’m new to the podcast world, I guess it was pure curiosity of what the podcast world was like to get me to finally open the app. I’m so happy I did. I’m a nerd for weird, interesting and unusual facts. Also, anything that involves science/ astronomy. This is the first and only podcast I have ever listened to. I currently binge about 3-4 or so episodes a day since I first listened to it a week ago. Thank you for creating this! (Edit: I’m just now listening to a July 2019 episode of uranium dinnerware and am reporting that Boscov’s is still alive and well. There is one in my hometown of Wilkes Barre, PA just a few miles south of Scranton, PA.)
  • pppennnppp
Please um, stop um, saying um!!!!
I like the premise of this podcast, but I cannot make it through a single episode, with one or more of the hosts saying “uh” and/or “um” every other word. It makes it feel way too colloquial and unprofessional, for a supposedly highly researched podcast. Please read your reviews and heed our advice!
  • Amanda12296
    The ums and lip smacks
It would help if you could stop smacking your lips and using pet words so often. That plus some errors in your info make it seem like the research was done 5 minutes before recording.
  • lyzzardwyzzard
    Hello
I’m trying to get past all the um’s and uh’s. Incredibly choppy and making it hard for me to follow what your saying. Hoping to get past it.
  • Spamma
Weird facts are the best facts
Love you ladies. My husband (who is a white guy, but please don’t hold it against him) turned me on to this podcast, and I enjoy it so much! Keep breaking down those myths (e.g., IQ… ugh!) and sticking it to the patriarchy.
  • Elle_Van
    Interesting Topics, Meh Delivery
I couldn’t concentrate on the episode with all the whistling noises when pronouncing an S sound. “Uh” and “um” were said so often that even my 10 year old noticed and was annoyed — quite distracting.
  • meg0930
    Great podcast!
Always something to give you a chuckle while learning something… I vote you change it to a 6 degrees of separation type contest with all your facts… who can make the closest connection without intending 😂
  • Curious and Classy
    10/10
My favorite podcast! I find myself laughing and gasping out loud. I love the banter between all of y’all! I have been bingeing and will continue to do so.
  • Leviticurse
    Good could be better
This podcast is good but I personally dont like how they have to narrate into each segment. Just give us the info!! Its annoying hearing the same segue over and over and treating the episodes methodically. theres no fun in hearing a robot speak. speak naturally.
  • SimiLiterate
    My favorite podcast
This is the podcast that got me into podcasts embarrassingly late in the game, and it’s the one I’m the most excited to come back to. Very proud weirdo!
  • B dancer
(5 stars) Thanks for helping me prove my wife wrong lol.
I just recently started bingeing your podcast. Let me just say it is amazing. My wife always make fun of me for sneezing when it’s bright outside. So I sent her the sideshow babies episode to show her that it was a real thing. Keep up the good work.
  • Leela19356
    Always learning something new
Love this podcast!! I often find myself audibly gasping or saying “wait, what?!?!” as I listen. In the best way though! Also laughing so hard at the 1-star reviews referring to the “sexism” of their historical facts. They’re just telling it like it is. I mean if you’re looking for fantasy or fiction go somewhere else🤷🏻‍♀️
  • Tahneebop
The information is good, the hosts are annoying.
I want to love this podcast because it presents such interesting facts, but the hosts seem to think everyone wants to hear about annoying mundane parts of their lives. Stick to the facts and tell a good story instead of stretching it out and ruining it by being annoying.
  • cloud.seeder
    Awesome
I love the heavy stream of new facts on totally absurd topics. Excellent.
  • Kissander
    Casual about animal cruelty
There is a LOT of graphic conversation of horrific things done to animals. How can you get a clean rating when they talk about carving out a cats brain, while it’s still alive. That’s adult content.
  • nikbobik
    Well Texas loves you… 😏
I really enjoy this podcast!! I’m a clinical microbiologist, but don’t really like listening to “work” at work. However, this podcast is just silly enough that I have a good time laughing at work while listening! It’s a refreshing change from my typical true crime binging. My coworkers enjoy you all as well! I was a little sad to hear that part of the staff thinks “the entire state of Texas” is a BBQ loving, petty population. 🙄🙄 (I mean, I don’t even care for BBQ. lol Geez 😒)
  • DE5PA1R
    So interesting and so well-edited!
This is a great and entertaining podcast. Also, I love how good it sounds! The audio is so well-edited!!
  • Oldhair65
    Funny and super interesting
What a magnificent podcast. Interesting and entertaining!!! A must for all listeners!
  • Howelnewan
    With much gratitude
I truly enjoy this podcast. The presenters of the articles are so engaging and bright and charming. As a white middle class male boomer and feminist, I am so glad to hear the wonders of the world told by classy intelligent people. Thank you for bringing light to my brain.
  • KittyAtMyFoot
    An absolute joy
I learn something new (and super weird) every episode, and the hosts are all delightful to listen to! Have recommended this to so many people, makes a great choice for anyone who loves science, medicine, history, or just weird facts
  • lovetheearththe
    Brilliant!
An absolute gem. I love telling my family about all the weird things I learned this week :)
  • Kducks36
    Best science podcast
I have been binging on this podcast for the last week. Amazingly informative and funny. If you like weird science facts, this podcast is a must. I share these weird facts with friends and family. The hosts are delightfully funny, their banter makes the science facts even more entertaining. A must listen!
  • PlumCakeaDoodle
    Yes please!
Doing the dishes and folding laundry has never been so educational! Love this podcast!

    Keep it weird
I recently found this podcast and it is phenomenal. I just finished season 3, and while I look forward to getting caught up, I’ll miss filling my day with you weirdos. I love switching up the hosts, because it keeps the dynamic, and banter fresh. I have so much more praise to give but I’ll end it here… for now.
  • whimziequiltz
    Love this Weird Podcast
Sometimes I know in general about the weird thing being discussed, but I’ve never not learned at least something new after listening
  • Soccerstudd18
    Too opinionated
Sexist women on the show try too hard to add a women’s suffrage message to each episode. Just state the facts with less of your biased opinions.
  • Mimichelleymomo
    A great stumble
Glad I stumbled onto this gem.
  • Ccucic
Please stop saying “like” every few words
Your show is one of my favorites. Rachel…you seem to be an intelligent person, but your use of “LIKE” during your presentations is something I think you would have outgrown in college. Please stop so I’ll quit grinding my teeth during your show segment.
  • feather heather
    Binging and obsessed!
Love this weird science podcast and I learn something new daily. Love the conversations and obvious friendships of you all. Love the short and sweet intro as well. You get right to the good stuff! Keep doing what you’re doing!
  • Canuck Mama
    Interesting but Annoying
Love the loads of interesting info but the podcasters say „uh“ or „um“ so often that it is too frustrating to listen to. Either edit them out or just stop saying „um“ for every second word!!!
  • Jsc2014
    Perfect podcast
Recently found this and love the content. I have adhd and this podcast scratches the perfect brain itch and really helps me with focusing while doing other tasks. I also just love learning all the info
