Loved the mismatch for years and genuinely enjoy Vernon and liked Jacoby with Jalen. This far I have not enjoyed the two of them together. Way too heavy on trendy topics and way too light on basketball analysis. Too much talk about ideas to fix the nba cup or jersey talk or court talk. KOC and Vernon did some of that but the heart of the show was always basketball analysis. This feels more like barbershop talk than basketball analysis which is fine but not for me. Still gave 5 stars for the years of entertainment Verno provided me and will check back in periodically.

I find the push by Ringer for blue sky to be off putting and alienating for an nba podcast. Ringer NBA coverage is begging to be the Kotaku for video games or MSNBC for news. That is a weird place to be moving towards and why nobody watches or cares about the NBA or things like Star Wars. You know the purpose is no longer the coverage or even game, it’s about spreading virtue and the message is my politics are righteous and the opposition to my politics deserve to be seen as less than human. The ringer is a clown show for allowing this. Crying Kimmel face : (

I’ve loved this show since its inception. I love Vernon and I loved KOC. Jacoby has been a brilliant replacement for Kevin O’Quitter ;) My only critique would be that the mismatch name makes less sense with these two. They sound like old friends. I enjoy it, but Jacoby seems like too nice a guy to mismatch with just about anybody. This podcast is no longer a mismatch. It’s a match made in heaven.

Seamless transition Jacoby adds a lot of laughs. Only hope for comedy’s sake Jalen and KOC get a pod together call it The Misalliance. Would probably last one episode but would be comedy gold.

Glad to hear Jacoby again. Got to give the people what they want!

Verno is a joke with his OKC takes. Jealous, vindictive, and insecure for sure with no substance or analysis. The podcast is fine but now I just really don’t like Verno as a person. Thumbs down.

Latest episode was decent till this Jacoby guy starts bagging on Russ, better without him in the building? What a cheap shot. Wannabe shock jock.

If typical sports radio is your thing, the new duo is for you. It’s just hot takes and speculation, more like a watered down First Take style show now. That has its place but it’s not for me. Gave it 4 because it’s a solid production and doesn’t deserve a low rating.

Love me some Verno. This is the pod to listen to if you want to hear from someone who watches all the games, not just hot takes on the highlights and gossip.

KOC was nice and will be missed. DJ is a solid replacement! Fan since the beginning of J&J.

It was a bummer to see KOC leave, but adding Jacoby is an absolute home run. Looking forward to another season of the MisMatch

This is my favorite NBA pod, I was super sad when it went on hiatus. Chris Vernon brings an energy that strikes a good balance between knowledgeable and loud ranting antics. All the other pods are boring. The Mismatch isn’t.

Favorite Podcast because of Verno and his shooting down of KOC and his crazy talk. LOL, KOC leaving the Ringer for Yahoo sports is like retiring from the NBA to join the GLeague.

Updating my review to five stars now that the show is continuing without KOC

Put Verno, Austin and Logan on here and rename it dumpster fire. I loved KOC but refused to listen to this pod because of Verno’s bad takes. Every episode is just another excuse for him to talk about Ja and the Grizzlies.

Kevin was always too careful and trying to be Zach “Mr. Robot” Lowe. Jacoby is great on this program. He gets excited. He’s ok with saying something that could be super wrong. He doesnt say “improvement isn’t linear” every 5 minutes.

It was hard to figure out how to comment as I am hammered at 2 am. I’m proud to say I listened to every mismatch for 8 years with koc and Vernon and it is the best podcast running. I’ve always been a Vernon guy. Very cultural and non statistical. Momentum believer and contrarian to nerds. Never forget when koc said the Kathi raptors should blow it up before the 2019 title. Hilarious the drafting of Zach Eden will be the end. If only you waited one more year for a Rudy Hobert to Memphis fa signing. Seriously man I’m proud to say I listened to these two honorable guys that talk hoops better then anyone especially those on tv. I’m sadly a bulls fan born in 96 who only saw Jordan on the wizards lol. Anyway whatever Chris Vernon does I will be a supporter and congrats on having a tremendous career. I hope Zach Eden can get playoff minutes and the grizzlies will have the ability to extend Jaren Jackson jr on that sub max deal. Good thing it wasn’t Marvin barley at 4. Much love

The supposed humor that Verno thought was funny, was not. Calling Kevin anti-American, a communist, etc. That’s all we need to hear in these days of turmoil, awful lies, and fascist rants toward so many regular, everyday Americans. I guess I am also in Kevin’s camp because I did like to see the South Sudanese do well with what they have lived through and the fact that their coach, Royal Ivey, had to pay for all of there practices elsewhere ( no indoor courts in there whole country, hotels, equipment, etc). I also pull for small countries from the democracies of the Caribbean Islands, Ukraine, Costa Rica, etc. Many of these countries have never won a medal and it would mean so much to their people. But almost always pull for our country.

“Nobody cares about the Clippers.” Tell that to the new arena that seats 18,000. Mr. Chris “Mad TV Neuman” would rather watch the Kings and Hornets on national TV. The negativity and hot takes are quite overdone.

It’s supposed to be 2 podcast a week. They have a hard time doing that consistently. It’s hard to rely on a show that takes podcast days off.

This podcast was good a couple of years ago now Kevin O’musk fanboy uses a whole hour to push whatever nonsense agenda he got, they don’t talk about basketball anymore but rumors and nonsense, disappointing, this thing got like a year or two left max 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

KOC used to be one of the better basketball analysts online but in recent years has built his own narratives and sets out to prove those narratives to be true, regardless of what's happening on the court. Cherry picks what stats and games he wants to talk about and complete ignores any stat, eye test, or final score that proves him wrong (and there is almost always something to prove him wrong).

The Mismatch is definitely the most consistently good basketball podcast out right now. I wish Bill had KOC and Verno more on his pods because I admire the energy of the Mismatch. Very funny and a good listen everytime.

Been a long time listener and was on the fence actually with these guys but their chemistry has grown and it’s really worth the listen. KOC is such an excellent and brilliant analyst, it’s always great to hear his breakdowns. Verno can ramble a bit at times but his old school thoughts do have merit. Give them a shot! Keep it up guys! BLOW IT UP
