Jenny5842Fascinating.I loved this podcast. Very detailed and thorough. This wasn’t an easy story to follow however the framed team gave you a clear picture of the case.
-
LuGarza2021$StorytellingI prefer real audio from the people involved when it’s supposed be true crime! It sounds like more than one person reading a novel. Stopped listening at episode 2 and just looked up the story online.
-
CbeaudzikDetailedIncredibly detailed and fascinating.
-
Lulie07BoringI thought this was real life investigation… actors make out sick. Sorry
-
Micki39567Good coverageEnjoyed the coverage. Wish there were most stories, but also hate to know how often these types of scenarios happen.
-
LBA222223333666InsightfulInformative and respectful, no ignoring inconvenient information or facts. I’ve been putting off listening to this show because I’m so used to Generation Why and its format, but I have enjoyed this multi episode series. Season 1 has been great, I just wish there were more seasons. Great work, Aaron & co!

Btp113Good storytelling, poor actingPretty sure Rolly is pronounced Roll-y. As in Rol-ando. Some of the theories don’t make much sense.
-
00010siJust being honestI’ve listened to A LOT of true crime podcasts and the format of a single narrator along with voice actors is making it almost impossible for me to get interested it just turns into background noise while I work. I wonder why their are no interviews with real people. I don’t feel like there are any real people telling the listener what happened or giving any background at all.

Teon77Big true crime listener hereBut picky. This podcast is fabulous. Cheers to the casting director. The voice actors could not be more perfect for their role. This podcast: combo part court tv, part narration ( also very professional) and part story telling really provides an interesting, easy to listen to well done podcast that is well directed. My new Fav🙌🏻

mattnellenReally Good!I am on episode 9 of Season 1. This podcast is really good! Super interesting.
-
Gwenny bugI want more!So I have been in a podcast hole after completing Gen Why and thought I'd try this out. 3 days later after binge-”listening” both seasons I am back where I started but now have another podcast to add to the list of “please put them out faster!”
-
Laced8This is the difference between an amateur and a pro.So good. Make sure to listen at least till Episode 8 (season two). That is when I realized just how much true podcast creation geniuses the Generation Why guys are. I took a break after Ep4 and I am so glad I returned to finish it out. I came online specifically to write this review because of how great that payoff was. SO didn’t see that coming.

Buddy being burnedBest true crime podcast there isI have listen to a lot of true crime podcast, Serial included. This is clearly the best true crime podcast that exist. The amount of actual work and effort put in by the producers is remarkable. There is as much original Contant here as one might expect in a high budget documentary on television. I simply cannot recommend this podcast enough.
-
Misjo614Storytelling is awfulThe re-enactments are just so bad. It completely takes away from and distracts from the actual story of the events. I’ve tried to stick to the podcast to give it a chance, but just can’t.
-
StephpksReally well done!Excellent podcast that has a bit different format than most true crime pods. I certainly hope Brian’s body is found and accountability is realized. Absolutely tragic story in so many ways.
-
417detailerConfusedAll in all. Yes, this was a good podcast. But I guess I don’t get all the evidence that Makes the producers believe that Johnathan didn’t have a hand in the killings. What they said was just theories and really didn’t have anything to back up their theories… I 100% believe he did it, he basically bragged about it
-
NGrayFoxHear me outI LOVE Generation Why. I got through the first season but there were too many episodes, the voice actors sounded like a joke but the investigation and facts they got to were solid. The second season drags but it’s trying to be Serial sooooooooo hard. End & beginning episode music and all. Just too much

alonso.27Justice for JonathanGreat podcast

hillbillikSo good!Podcast is so well done. Factual without the banter. Love it!
-
123impossibleIntoxicatingAaron is a natural story teller. The depth and breadth of research he and his team produced is extensive, while the delivery makes these complicated cases easy and fascinating as they are unraveled. Binge-worthy is an understatement! I am so looking forward to season 3.
-
MissLynn6464Amazing podcastI really like the way the podcast is presented. So much research has been done and it dives deeply into these cases that need a closer look. Can’t wait for the next season!
-
FghunterAmazing InvestigationI have listened to the Generation Why podcast for years and love that this series is a deeper dive into the story. They research all the facts and leave no stone unturned. I love this podcast and the amazing investigative work that they do.
-
Reezy233AmazingThis investigation series gets it right. They leave no facts or information misunderstood and the people behind the scenes investing and reviewing evidence are the real deal.
-
MylissaRSolved!I’ve read about this case so many times but this is the first time I don’t feel like it’s a mystery any longer. Aaron and team, this is a life changing endeavor. I now have hope Mario will have his name cleared and Brian’s body will be found. And hopefully, justice will be served! Thank you for the dedication and thorough investigation into what actually happened. So much clarity has been laid out.
-
BronimosRivetingSo well done. Countless hours put into this pod, clearly. Amazing job.
-
Jenn K 71Tremendous Job!I truly appreciate the exhausting amount of work that the Framed team put into this podcast. I really enjoyed both seasons immensely.
-
JTH69ZzzzzzMy god this was drug out for waaaaaaayyyy to long. Jumps around a bit too which makes it a little hard to follow when you zone out for a bit due to numerous segments repeating of interviews you had heard several times.
-
CLL1968MonotonousInteresting story. Monotonous delivery. Like reading a text book.
-
MaverickAbundanceKeep Up The Great Work!Facts are the Facts. Truth is the Truth! Anyone who speaks negative, good for them for listening to the entire podcast and attempting to discredit the truth. That’s how one exposes one self. The more negative ratings and reviews you receive. Then you know you are on the right track! #TRUTHSUPPORT

OumaStellieRe season 2Just when I thought I knew who did what , the next episode would change my mind. I knew nothing about this case ( I know, I must have been living under a rock) and I forced myself NOT to google anyone or anything. What a great job you guys did , my heart breaks for Johnathan - I hope someone can help him
-
bnyc1972Beware the host/narratorThe subject of the podcast itself is interesting and well researched. The writing might even be okay. But the delivery? Oh. My. I had to stop listening after two episodes - the host’s monotonous and flat delivery was painful. Also, be warned that the “voice overs” (and I use that term loosely) are poorly done and cringe-worthy.
-
True Crime Loving TeacherEngrossing podcastI binged the entire second season yesterday- that’s how good it was! The twists and turns and complexity of the case combined with Aaron’s incredible storytelling made this one impossible for me to stop. The research done on this story was unbelievable- and the arguments put forth are so compelling. Thank you so much for an A+++ podcast!
-
StwmmwSeason 1Way too dragged out and repetitive. Voice overs confusing and the old guy voice was so over the top and irritating I almost skipped over…
-
Trixie64kywhyI wanted to love this.I had high hopes for this (I love Generation Why w/Aaron and Justin). I feel like this story could have been covered in 6 or 7 episodes. I’m on episode 9, and I’ve lost track of who’s who, and am past the point of caring 😕
-
ManosfateAaron is a great storytellerYou’ve likely come to “Framed” because you’re a fan of Generation Why. With Framed, you get one case fully examined over a full season worth of episodes. Season 1 used a lot of voice actors to re-enact police transcripts that took me a while to get used to. At first I found them a bit distracting, but come to appreciate them later in the season. Season 2 relies less on the voice actors. The first episode was a bit hard to follow given all the names of the folks involved, but by the time you get to episode 3, I found myself in the groove. Really loved both seasons. Looking forward to more.
-
Kimi20Too Long. Too repetitive. Never gets to the point.I think the evidence and story was interesting but it was painful getting any information. The story telling takes wayyy too long. So many re-enactments were repeated. Just painful.
-
RKeithExcellent and disturbingHow many are incarcerated unjustly? How can this podcast put the timeline together but Dershowitz could not right the wrong. Innocence project, where are they? Excellent and detailed investigation. Please continue to research cases.
-
AMKimmelSubscriber edition still has ads? Please correct, there have been 2 ads so far in the first ep of season 2. I am still in my free trial and this is not a promising start
-
parcadtWay to boring , just repeating same thing over and overSo boring hearing you repeat the same thing over and over and over again
-
Fru$trated!Legal analysis is severely lackingI applaud going through documents and getting the story down in a good, narrative way…but some people should know and stick to their lanes. Perhaps not go into any kind of legal analysis when it’s obvious one doesn’t know what one is talking about in that regard.
-
Jra4776⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great Podcast. Highly recommend.
-
yourrockMaricopa Sheriffs R Corrupt!Shocking corruption in the Phoenix Maricopa Sheriff’s Office. Unbelievably evil. Turns out it’s easy to get away with murder because cops, judges, and prosecutors don’t care about justice AT ALL! Infuriating!
-
mlbsclIncredible Narrative!Wow! What a great narrative to such a tragic crime. I absolutely loved!
-
wendypeanutWell researchedAaron is great. The way the stories are in woven is excellent. The voiceover work can be extremely cheesy and overdone.
-
MinnesotanPodcasterToo Many Episodes and Crazy BoringYet another true crime podcast that took way too many episodes to tell their story.
-
Ellen from WIAaron and Team Frame does it againI am a Gen Why fan and miss Justin BUT this series is soooo good. Season 2 even better. I am so impressed with how well researched it clearly was. Aaron knows his stuff. My heart breaks for this victims and clearly we have yet another wrongful conviction.
-
NappyDresserStunning Legal Reporting!Binge Framed TC fans! 🤓
-
joeslummerSeason 2...Is so boring.
-
SaunneeWOWExcellent reporting and analysis during both seasons. These wrongful convictions have me heated.
-
Maureen in CAAmazing and exceptional podcastI thought season one would be hard to beat but season two was even better. The level of analysis, level of detail and the ability to pull it into an engrossing story is masterful. Definitely one of the best podcasts i’ve listened to. Can’t wait for season three.
