ahdnchfjrjrAlmost perfectIf only they didn’t regard corporate speech so highly….

SamoanPowerA bit of an Echo ChamberThe podcasts are hit and miss. There are some really good, informative podcasts with some great legal analysis. But, there are others that sound like a cheap plaintiff’s attorney commercial, all bluster and no logical analysis, especially when talking about law enforcement. IJ could really use some diversity in their ranks. Right now it’s an echo chamber.

nicmartNot what it once wasThe show has gotten sillier and duller. Emphasis on court activities has been replaced by emphasis on lawyers, and lawyers are a bore. If you care how “en banc” is pronounced, this is the show for you. I prefer knowing what is happening with the law.(And in the months since I wrote this it has gotten worse. Lawyers talking about and celebrating lawyers. Yuk.) Frankly, it’s sickening to hear IJ lawyers defending the War on Drugs. Lockeans they are not.

This KenShysterThe Institute for Justice gives lawyers a bad name. They no longer maintain any pretense of being libertarian. They are simply shakedown artists abusing the courts to extort money from private businesses. The Institute for Justice is comprised of lawyers who wish they were legislators. They believe the proper role for a judge is to declare what the law should be and ignore what the law and Constitution say.

SfgrgkhdgbGood analysisSometimes a little dry or arcane, but good analysis of cases frequently by the lawyers who argued the cases. Generally focused on freedom and rights-related cases. Respectful and i formative views.
-
Ton of the KirkExcellent podcast for keeping up to speed on the courtsA fun and informative show for keeping up to speed on the federal circuit courts of appeal.
-
Jerry GlockzillaOne of the bestThis may be the best legal podcast extant.
-
sllimaraikNew host is unbearableHer voice is awful. Hard to listen & take in the content w/ her screeching, incorrect pronunciations, and awkward intonation
-
stroketreeGreat Podcast!I love to stay informed on how messed up our legal systems are. I like to have an idea of what to expect if I ever had to deal with them with them and how unreasonable government prosecutors of non-violent crimes are. I also think it’s good to see the way government officials protect each other from accountability!
-
jaime jesusInformativeGreat podcast, but I'd prefer a different host. Her voice is grating and difficult to listen to.
-
bgaut1Great legal podcastIncludes both updates about circuit court cases and longer more substantive podcasts about certain constitutional clauses and applying real facts to the case law. Very well done and entertaining
-
WCH___WCHGreat podcast! I’ve heard them all!
-
incognito82Great law podcastI like the fact it isn’t just reading articles or too much performance.
-
yzb617The BEST legal podcastSo many guys focus on SCOTUS. This podcast really makes a difference! Furthermore, you generously attach the PDF of these interesting cases. Thank you guys! Keep on~
-
anna8100Love!!Great legal analysis and easy way to keep up with the law!

Peezey44Has potential, but gives way to lack of objectivity and balanceReally great concept for a podcast, but the libertarian tilt is so pushy that it makes me question the reasonability behind the analysis. To be clear, I’m not taking exception to the libertarian view itself in this review, but that it essentially seems to be unchallenged and accepted as fact, making the overall analysis tainted and questionable.
-
Rmk1595Great legal podcastA great way to learn about American law
-
Pat6627538337744Decent analysis but highly idealogicalThe analysis has decent depth but it’s tainted by the persistent ideological libertarianism.
-
ocsgsusjustbGreatThe best legal podcast by a great pro bono organization.
-
GdtbayPerfect for Fed Cts Nerds! One of the best podcasts to which I subscribe. Yes, it's brief in length, but it cuts to the chase and covers numerous cases per episode. Additionally, via email IJ will provide a weekly summary of important opinions from the Fed Ct Apps. Cannot recomment it enough.
-
ChrisGlausFascinatingLove this podcast. Fascinating legal issues, discussed in a way that is accessible to non-lawyers, but also keeps you interested if you have legal training. Lve that Gilbert guy!
-
thinkdifferent79Podcast is fantastic!I love the hosts' perspective added to the case review rather than simply reciting the facts.
-
Kaya BaileyGreat podcastGreat podcast and great analysis.
-
Luau FanaticGreat libertarian podcastBrilliant insight into open vs closed government. Every episode discusses interesting policy issues, and the host always finds interesting experts in the subject matter.
-
Isaac ParkIdeological to the point of distracting. This podcast's choices of cases and commentary are so tainted by the hosts' visceral dislike for the government that I find it difficult to extract anything of substance from it. At least have more guests on, every once in a while, that have a different take on sovereign immunity or the Fourth Amendment?
-
ShawnPBDMy new favorite podcastLove this. Bite-sized stories that give great insight into the latest decisions in the American justice system. Fans of liberty both on the left and on the right will like it. Crony capitalists, corporate lobbyists, and pandering politicians may not enjoy.
-
jahouseinformative as alwaysHappy they've started posting new episodes again. Keep it up.

GearspringExcellent podcast. It tries to anticipate many questions I have that are brought to mind as I listen to their lecture. I do have additional questions though, and I wish they solicited them for answering.
