I’ve heard Tom and Amin on other podcasts but I just now discovered THIS. Idk I feel like I have a knack for finding things that annoy me about podcasters but there’s nothing here I don’t enjoy. The chemistry is there, the analysis and stories are insightful, and sweet lance had me lolling alone in my car. Keep it goin dudes, love it.

Having Amin as a regular makes this a must-listen podcast. An underutilized basketball analyst, Amin has a unique vantage point on the league from his years as a mid-level executive. It afforded him the opportunity to interface with all facets of the game from x and o stuff to front-office intrigue. A good podcast is about the environment you create and Tom jumps ahead of the game by creating one of the most informed and colloquial basketball listens out there. The January 5, 2022 episode was one of the most cogent, insightful podcasts on a sports topic I’ve ever heard. Listening to two intelligent and hilarious people explore the reason why we are seeing more triple doubles reminded me why I love basketball as sport and spectacle but why this show is a must-listen every week.

Been listening to this pod from near the beginning because I enjoy Tom’s basketball analysis. The latest independent iteration produced by Anthony Mayes with Amin cohosting has given me the Truehoop (TV) vibes I loved before the 4 letters decided to remove some of the fun from their basketball talk. The addition of Ethan for the moment has been great! Definitely a unique perspective on the NBA

I’ve never written a review in my life. Big Ethan/house of Strauss fan mainly Dude- this Andrew Schulz stuff-lol best comic “Watch his crowd work” I bought victory machine and def spread the word but today you played yrself. Shultz is a buster

I have a multitude of sports pods and out of all of them this one feels eh. I don’t see episodes consistently and when I do it’s typically some buddy of theirs promoting a book or something and that’s great for sure get the word out but they feel less like parts of a sports pod and more like some sports guys who talk about anything besides sports. Maybe I’m expecting something that’s just not here but I love these show hosts just not this show it feels sooo boring. Most the time I really just like to hear what they think about something in sports and instead hear about vacations or friends books or something other then sports.

What you going to do with it

Wright and the rest of the crowd. OMG. Have any of you actually watched Jokic this year or in the bubble? How many centers can even beat him on the baseline, on the jumper?, foul shouts, good on 3s, and FG%???? He beats Embiid. He beats. Giannis. Watch him!!!! We also know that the 2-minute stats that show Jokic should have 5-10 more points-per-game if he got proper calls. What’s most disconcerting is that Jokic is number #1 in double doubles. These are not stupid stats. He passes better than any center and if you watched (really watched more than the stupid highlights). He’s right in there on triple doubles. Important stats. Also. Is he top 3 team? The West is so much better than the et and the Nuggets could be #2 in the East. He’s also played EVERY game. And more minutes than anyone or at least #2. So who is most valuable??? The worst is the anti-Serbian comment. Try the Argentinians with Facu. I hope Wright spends the summer in Serbia. BTW. I’m in Denver NOT Serbia And yes, I used to think that the MVP needs to be on a champion team, but this year is unique. The NBA has had way way too many back to backs. And only Jokic has been resilient enough. Half the others are just resting and sitting back. Most importantly- I would love to take your $74,000 and get even money that Jokic will end up being at least in the top 10-20 players of all time. “He came out of left field?” Because he was #4 at the beginning? “They don’t think he’s good enough?” With Murray and Barton hurt? What? Wright obviously doesn’t watch basketball. Or understand the game. Amazing. Thought I’d keep my subscription. Now I’m dropping it.

Randomly, I found them in 2013. I was on the Spreecasts before they became millionaires and stuff. It’s extremely annoying they won’t just do the golden triangle (Amin, Tom, Ethan). I also really miss the rapid guitar intro song that Jade had. I take what I can get. Also, one day the Jazz will toss Amin’s Suns from the playoffs and I’ll finally get to Pitino Game him. I’ll be ready even though Twitter is too serious and unfun now. I love this group so much.

Great guests you don’t get to hear on other podcasts, like Steph Curry’s trainer, along with major guests like Chris Bosh

Haberstroh usually has good guests, but the main draw here is Haberstroh’s own participation. He should be more widely recognized as one of the best NBA writers/analysts out there, as he stakes out interesting positions and backs them up with relevant data and observations. Highly recommend.
