Nedward Simmons is living a regular Earth life when he stumbles across an artifact from an alien civilization. Its protective powers are more intriguing than useful to him, until the aliens themselves arrive. Unable to hand over the power he has unwittingly acquired, Ned decides instead to travel with them in an attempt to defeat the Anacron army, which threatens their freedom. But Ned soon learns that his Plasma Crystal is not the only source of mysterious power in the galaxy. Ned and his comrades must deal with a vast space armada, enemy Plasma Masters, and even a monster or two as they search for a way to penetrate the enemy fortress of Venom and restore peace to their empire.

    Beginner Writer/Narrator
    All signs are this is a beginner (even if he's not). Story concept isn't bad, but the execution is lacking, at least in the several episodes I was able to listen through; I admit I was unable to complete the entire story. The writing could stand the help of a mature editor that understands storytelling. As it is now, this came across as a reading of a textbook, not a story. The reading was flat and rushed. Made it hard to stay with the actual story. I kept getting lost in the drone of his voice. Narrator needs an appreciation of tone, inflection, and pacing, and how to use these skills in the context of telling a story.

    It's probably a great story, but I just can't get past the narration. It's brutal.

    "Force" eat your heart out
    Just finished what I hope will be the pilot audiobook of perhaps a Plasma Master trilogy (maybe?). I really enjoyed this audiobook. While the sound quality and effects could be better (they almost always could be better), this is a fun book to listen to. Check it out!

    I love the sci fi in this book, but i can't wait to listen to the second one, Dose the plasma master ever get the girl. I would love to know. very good book Love it
