What's the Tea, Christine?Love These Gals Like Sisters!Love these two gals! Every time I listen it’s like I’m having a convo with my sisters. I’m a member of their Patreon and it’s great—totally worth the small fee. Long episodes, lots of mall talk, and laughs. Love the movie/book review episodes. If you’re a listener, you must go to the show’s Instagram after each ep to see photos/videos references. Keep up the awesome mall talk!

Smash_GakeLoves itMaybe check out How to Beat the High Cost of Living (1980). Jane Curtin gets naked in a mall play to distract shoppers while Jessica Lange vacuums money out of a giant plastic ball via garbage chute.

MarshdaveganLove this podcast! They’re the best! As someone who worked in a mall for 12 years, this podcast brings me so many laughs!! I’ve worked in so many stores (forever 21, H&M, Hot topic, lush…) and hearing all these stories makes me a little nostalgic! I hope I can make it but enough to come on the Pod one day! Love you two and I look forward to episodes every week!

Jamie LeClairegrateful mall mouseJust gotta say thanks so much to Emily & Paige for the pod and their genuine appreciation for malls/mall culture. Since moving to philly (car-less) from the san fernando valley three years ago i haven’t stepped foot in a mall 😭😭😭 and this podcast has served as the perfect balm!

WitchyNarcolepPrevented a breakdownI have been inside my house since August 17th 2019 with my son. He was premature. Then we had to wait for vaccines. Then RSV season. And then a freaking pandemic. I found this podcast about a month ago and it is literally the balm I need in my life to shut out the exhaustion/horror of what is still happening under Biden/police brutality etc. It’s like 90 Day Fiancé but without Angela yelling about being an American every 10 minutes. My brain shuts off, I laugh out loud, I do the dishes, I go to bed calm. When it’s a particularly rough day with the kid, I put headphones in and just let it drown out the sound of him yelling about not wanting to wear clothes outside. I also have dreams of leaving in the night and going to the Americana and the Grove by myself without my partner and child. All I want as an introvert is to walk around a mall with no one bugging me, except the occasional kiosk bro who I will walk past completely ignoring. Thank you Paige and Emily for being the only podcast I give a f**k about right now. You’re doing the Lord’s work, or something like that.

xDarkKittenxfilling the mall-shaped void in my heartMall Talk provides me with the closest thing to a mall-induced endorphin rush that one can get while remaining responsible during a pandemic. Emily and Paige’s conversations are hilarious, endearing, and lovingly poke fun at one of America’s favorite pastimes: rampant consumerism. Mall Talk goes to show that a podcast need not be especially high concept to be a satisfying and compelling listen. I can only hope that Emily and Paige get to discuss some fresh mall experiences sooner rather than later (and hopefully get to receive their vaccines at the Americana).

ohhelloitskatieSo much serotonin!Mall Talk makes me so happy! I’ve loved hearing about Emily and Paige’s mall-adjacent adventures during quarantine! They’re so cute and funny. I miss the mall like crazy and Mall Talk makes me feel like I’m right there in the food court with my besties!

ZillaRajVicarious Mall FunQuarantine means I have really burned through podcasts like crazy, and was so happy to find this one! It’s funny and chill and goes into the minutia of mall shopping that we’re all missing in pandemic times. I spent way too much energy initially trying to differentiate Paige’s and Emily’s voices. Like most things in life, once you stop trying, you succeed. Super fun content, highly recommend!

Dee_02So funny!!Discovered this podcast through the Mike Carlson episode (from Podcast: The Ride). Such a great podcast to listen to, especially during lockdown as I can’t go to the mall as regularly as before the pandemic. Every episode feels like a mini trip to the mall. Great variety of guests and stores highlighted. Keep up the awesome episodes!
-
kenfremerThey just have a good vibe!Really easy listening. Like just a chill little spot to reflect on how we consume, the absurdities of mall culture, and its quiet, subtle joys. Five free pretzel coupons that may or may not work out of five!

A Funky Little BabyI love this podcastThis is my new favorite podcast. The hosts are very funny. And if you're a mall person who enjoys discussing malls, shopping, fashion, and how various stores and their personalities fit into the culture, you'll probably like it. I was thrilled and shocked when an episode discussed my hometown mall that I frequented growing up. The Tippecanoe Mall in Lafayette, Indiana! No, it is not a good mall but I loved it anyway.
-
Mystic CTI don’t know, the best mall ‘cast?I know the other mall casts think they know about...malls, and I guess they do, but this one like...knows more. These hosts really care about their topic, or don’t, but usually do. I wish i knew them growing up. But probably we’d have just glanced at each other at sabarros and moved past each other paltrow style. Hm.

badbobbycaseDoes what it says on the tinOne of the funniest and least pretentious podcasts I’m aware of. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Watusi44Love this podcastI love these ladies and this podcast. I really enjoy how easy it is to listen to. With everything going on it’s nice to remember when I could go to the mall. I would meander and pick things up and put them down again. Oh well. Very entertaining!
-
Shellhead07Great podcast for quarantineI started listening to this podcast because of nick wiger. It has truly been a delight to listen to the back catalog. Keep up the great work ladies!!
-
SqidbitYes fellow podcast seeker, do subscribeI love podcasts, but I don’t write reviews often. I listen to 50+ hours of them a week and have tried so so many and bailed on the vast majority. This is a winner because of how personable and engaging Emily and Paige are.

Gmed25Fun, Cool Vibes Only - Best Mall podcast ever !!!Stumbling across this podcast randomly after find either Paige or Emily through Instagram, I listened and found myself enthralled with Emily & Paige’s wit & good vibes. They usually have a special guest each week and they’ll go into speaking about a specific topic. Each week the topic pertains to mall culture & stories from their youth involving the mall. Emily and Paige’s podcast reminds me of my youth and going to the Montebello Mall in So Cal, during the early-mid 90s. Getting ICEEs and visiting KB Toys to check out the toys. This show also gives me flashbacks of being a mall rat during my late teens, skipping work. Somehow Emily & Paige have that magic where you feel like you’re talking with friends, and are able to reminisce about days of mall past. To conclude, give this a listen & you won’t be disappointed.

Trainspt5Mall Talk! Like Totally!I feel like I’m in the Valley Girl movie every time I listen to mall talk. I never thought the “Valley accent” was a real thing but Paige and Emily prove that it is. I got super excited about the episode of Merry-Go-Round. I vaguely remember thinking I was always walking into a dance club as a 14 year old when I went in there. We had one at my hometown mall in Indiana. Crazy to think it was there for a while, considering all the crazy religious freaks protested outside of Hot Topic when it first showed up at the mall. Now there needs to be an episode about Gadzook’s!
-
erica.hassinkJust a delightPaige and Emily are the chill, weird, and specifically funny friends I wish I could wander the mall with for hours. Turns out I have a lot of memories of, and opinions about, the mall, and I needed two cool hosts plus one comedian guest to meditate on this with me every week. You probably need this too so smash that subscribe button!

Brian DomingosExactly what I neededThe world is on fire and I can only take so much. When in need, I reach for Mall Talk for a little self-care. The talented hosts have a great rapport and immediately take me to another place: Southern California malls. It helps me to forget the horror of the world and think of needing to return something to Target or avoiding going to Gamestop. The guests are good too. It’s the best eavesdropping you can do without looking like a creep at the food court. I am truly sad that I will never get to discuss my local mall growing up with them on the air.
-
meeezlesOKSo Much Fun.I love this podcast so much. I love a good nostalgia trip. I wish I could talk to Paige and Emily about my childhood mall, like when I was a high school freshman and I had to dress up like a full clown for drill team orientation and ask the hot guys at Lids for their phone numbers.
