Covering current issues in the law that are not covered similarly in other law focused podcasts, this show makes the subject matter easy to understand and extracts the marrow of the issues. Very well put together not only with respect to analysis and exposure to experts in the field, but also in terms of production and pacing. Lawyers will appreciate the methodical approach and non lawyers will have a window into how questions are decided and are evolving. Recommended.

This podcast provides one of the best unbiased, balanced, and insightful discussions of legal issues that I’ve seen. The host, Matt Schwartz, gets behind the rhetoric and distills what could be boring legal issues into interesting compelling, easy-to-understand stories. Could not recommend more highly.

This podcast seems to specialize in the life changing yet rarely covered issues in the world of law, but don’t let that scare you. Uncommon Law is both approachable and entertaining, while also remind us why to be ignorant of the law is to be like a bird without knowledge of the wind.

I would never have thought to use sleep-deprived parents and their babies to describe FTC rule making authority - but it works! The show is chock-full of original voices clearly breaking down complex legal issues that affect our lives. Looking forward to the next season.

The episodes of this season were very well done. Each provides great expert opinions and discussions while making the content digestible for the lay person. The host and his guests explained how this issue truly affects the whole workforce and economy.

This podcast is great, my new favorite in the legal genre! I like a lot of Bloomberg’s podcasts, I’m an avid listener but this one has something special. I just discovered it and listened to the most recent noncompete series. The sound quality even for the interviews is so good, and the narration is just so conversational and easy to listen to. Plus, great background music and sounds! I love pods that do you multi part series because it allows for real in-depth analysis and reporting, and I feel like I really got the full picture on the issue after listening - including exposure to pros and cons/counter arguments, etc. I’m excited for the next season and hope for more of the objective, investigative legal reporting that I’ve heard from the show so far!

Can’t say enough good things about this podcast. To be honest, “national treasure” doesn’t even go far enough. Thanks to Matt and the team for compiling all of this important and complicated stuff into a digestible format for us all to better understand and enjoy.

I thought I understood Affirmative Action. This illuminating series from Uncommon Law showed me how much I had to learn and, even better, answered questions I wasn’t even aware I should be asking. And I grew up in the segregated South, experiencing school integration in action from third grade on. In a marked departure from regular newscasts (thank you!), the host doesn’t just fly through a preplanned list of questions but actually followed up on Ed Blum’s responses and posed questions I would have wanted him to ask. The result was that a got a much clearer understanding of Blum’s thought process and motivation. In fact, hang on past the credits for a question—and thoroughly unexpected answer from Blum. It’s a wow moment that virtually turns everything else Blum has said on end. There are many points in the podcast that really brought to the forefront for me the facts of the case the current court is facing. Particularly memorable (maybe “chilling” is a better word) was the juxtaposition of Sandra Day O’Connor’s words in 2003, that in 25 years the US might no longer need affirmative action, with harrowing audio from the reporting following George Floyd’s murder. It was an effective means of illustrating how far we have not come since the Supreme Court decisions of 2003 upheld the earlier Bakke decision. I really like that this wasn’t just a “tip-of-the-iceberg” report—that someone had done all the legwork and sifted through (what appear to be) mountains of Supreme Court documents and recordings so I didn’t have to. If future series are as thoroughly researched and reported as this one, Uncommon Law will have earned a place on my must-listen podcast list.

This first series by Matthew Schwartz is a wonderful deep dive into the history of affirmative action decisions and the issues facing the current court. As a non-lawyer, I found the history of affirmative action fascinating! The host is an excellent storyteller and the diversity of voices from both sides gives a fuller picture of the arguments through the years. I would recommend this podcast to lawyers and non-lawyers alike, it’s a delightful examination of an important and timely legal issue!

It’s blatantly retaliatory to name your Firm Gals, Gals LLP. Women having the same interest as Men aka White Male Law Firms. Black/African-Men are the first in line with its comes to diversity equity, and inclusion, please. Only a Women way of thinkings makes it okay for someone to give her a book of Business so she can be great/equal and then flip the strip on all Men aka (White Male Men). Make it, make sense! If Women want their OWN place in this Law Industry, then they must earn their own place. Nothing stop a Women from starting her OWN Law Firm or Investing in Her Own Business so stop leading with victimhood and start showing the work! Women argument is with God and not Man.

I don’t work in the legal profession so this has been very interesting to me and I like the range of subjects It surprises me when the host finishes up the program and reads the credits he always starts with his own name.

This is the best bee podcast for commercial and migratory beekeepers. Very in depth and detailed. Objective and intellectual I’d give it a 6/5 need more episodes!!!

The best podcast I’ve found about commercial beekeeping. Well produced and great mix of commercial beekeepers, apiarists, and scientists.

Love this podcast, there are not enough good ones about bees. I’m a beekeeper and find that most bee podcasts are either way too beginner or way too in depth (so I cant recommend to non beekeepers). This one dives into topics and gets real scientists to come in and talk, all while keeping it fun and exciting. Thanks so much, I hope you keep this going! Bees need help and the more people fall in love with them and respect them the better the world will bee

It is a comprehensive analysis of the industry of bee pollination and the extraordinary effort it takes to care for and move the billions of bees that crisscross the country pollinating fields and orchards in this country.
