kita.gA must-listen for healthcare professionalsI recently came across this podcast on Twitter, and I am so glad to have found it. One of my frustrations in NP school has been the disconnect between the stated goal of patient advocacy and the tepid lectures handling racism as more of an “unfortunate reality” than a problem in need of urgent intervention. This podcast provides thorough discussions on race in various realms of healthcare education and practice, with actual experts in doing the work to address these structural issues. I’ve found multiple moments of inspiration in these episodes, and would especially recommend this to others looking for guidance on disrupting a system that continues to fail Black Americans.

keeptryan87Great topics from Ivy League medicineI enjoy the humanistic med subjects, esp since my med school doesn’t delve into them very well (but is not as lofty as ~Yale~). I demoted one star because the audio can be dodgy. For instance, the voices are at different volumes and intermittent loud noises that I’m guessing mark cuts when editing. I heard that towards the end of the Aug 31st ep. Anyways, I look forward to binging this so I can sound smart in rotations!
