Retro EWNeeds a new host badlyDanny needs to go - he offers nothing other than cringy TalkSPORT takes and takes away from the insightful commentary from Jack and Jay. I’m usually an every week listener and took a few months off last season because of Danny’s takes.
-
MattZipCOYSGreat podcast, love the blend of host and rotating guests. Love the energy, knowledge, and humor. Danny Kelly is really appreciated … a dose of genuine Spurs fandom/knowledge that is at odds with the typical Twitter/Guardian/Athletic fare ...
-
philladaGreat showBy far the best Spurs podcast around. Look forward to each episode of the show

patglennonThere’s a Reason The Athletic is Worth Paying ForAnd you get a taste for it by listening to this award-winning pod. Danny is a legend and does an amazing job being both supporter and facilitator. Likewise, James does an tremendous job with the supporter/journalist dual role. Top it off with really excellent, eloquent, enlightening, and entertaining contributions from the impartial journalists Charlie and Jack and its must-listen stuff for Spurs supporters. Never itself too seriously but also alway delivering on seriously insightful takes. Bravo boys. COYS!

david hindmanIn my Champions League places of Spurs podsAs a new American Spurs supporter circa the 18/19 run, I was delighted to find so many podcasts linked to my new favorite team. I tried most and kept my favorite three. The View from the Lane scratches my “club culture” itch. While there is undoubtedly good reporting of current events done by this team, for me the real value lies in hearing stories of the gloried past. While I’ll never beat James in a quiz format, I do feel that I have greatly enhanced my knowledge of club history through the mostly biweekly shows. I also appreciate the mix of views from a team of reporters as well as fans. I enjoy the good natured banter and yes, at times, the self-congratulatory remarks. A special shout to Danny’s vocabulary - I've managed to work some of the choice phrases into my daily lexicon. The release schedule for an EST audience is very convenient. I must be among the first to consume each episode, “dropping” as they tend to do right at lunch time in the eastern US. Thank you Danny, Jack, Charlie, Tim, James and the Arsenal-supporting producer!

h0gwinAward winning! It’s the best Spurs pod. Danny and James are proper fans, Charlie/Jack/Tim are outstanding journalists. The only place to go for proper Spurs insight from people that have true knowledge about the club, both past and present. Great characters and personalities too.

MarchibaldAward WinningBest Spurs podcast by far! Best Athletic Podcast? The people are asking.

TrevorLHFantasticFor any spurs fan, this pod is an absolute must. Relevant, humorous, insightful. Really great content

Matty SpursGreat pod bad hostWould be much better without Danny Kelly’s long winded rants. Doesn’t fit with the rest of the people.

OctopusBroadcastingExcellenceHaving bounced between various Spurs podcasts over the last 10+ years I am so happy to have found this one. It took less than three episodes for Danny Kelly to become one of my favorite voices both in the Tottenham fanbase and in football media in general. His skills as host are top-tier, his soliloquies on the club are both heartfelt and profound, and my god is he eloquent, witty, and sharp. It has an excellent mix of humor and knowledge, and presumably because it's an Athletic production there are plenty of bits of info that, whilst not exactly insider knowledge, certainly are difficult to find elsewhere. Trustworthy, level-headed, and entertaining: can't ask for much else. Long may it continue!

Vars010Top 4 podcast (😆)I know this podcast has a pre Danny Kelly era (per reviews from a couple grumpy sods); I’m sure it was great, but I’m not upset that I missed it. This man’s demeanor, word choice, and manner of guiding the conversation obviously work for me. Work very well indeed. COYS!

yo 987from 5* to 1* retreating to crude vulgarity and political bigotryThis podcast has skillfully and enthusiastically exhibited love of Spurs with a love of the game, and I won’t say it has lost that. But between Danny Kelly’s repeated vulgar comments about Harry Kane, and the recent ill-informed and, frankly, bigoted foray into politics, it’s just not worth the time. We already have the Guardian for our dietary requirement of smug hypocrisy.

Codygraham12Great Writers - Terrible HostHonestly didn’t bother listening to this podcast after Danny Kelly was added. He ruins the natural chemistry the Athletic writers have, and goes on long rants about nothing. I loved the first year of the pod and want it to return to that.
-
TwoWireFar & Away the BestEven from as far away as Dallas, TX, USA, there’s not many, if any, podcasts I look forward to more. The show was solid to very good even before the addition of Danny Kelly, as Jack, Charles, and James are at the top of their fields. With Danny binding it together, it’s a true joy to behold (as Danny often says).

MesucudiMy fav premier league podGreat report by the hosts. David Kelly is a wonder addition and host
-
mooresapMy Favorite Spurs PodI look forward to every episode and enjoy the addition of Danny Kelly to an already great podcast.

ShalaboobusNew HostDanny Kelly doesn’t fit the mold
-
KSeaDNew host doesn’t workThe tone of the podcast last year was great. It was kind of laid back and calm mostly between two guys who don’t act like fan boys. This new host just changes the vibe of the show totally and it makes sense since he’s a radio host apparently. It’s bad now and hard to listen to. It’s hard to find a good spurs pod with the incessant fan boy stuff from Last word on spurs and the constant whining on extra inch. Ugh
-
mattkerwin24Danny Kelly is not the right hostI’ve been a subscriber / listener from the beginning, but after one episode of Danny Kelly, I’m done. Terrible audio quality, no flow, show seems lost.
-
Rolie BKUsed to be good then Danny Kelly happenedDanny Kelly ruined the podcast; he loves to hear himself talk.
-
KathNYChiAlways enjoyableJack, James, and Charlie have a great cohesive podcast relationship that brings out the best of football insight. This pod has Spurs fandom intertwined with those who report on Tottenham for a profession, alongside news, facts, and — rather importantly in a pandemic — first hand accounts of being at the match. Very enjoyable.
