COmarshratGreat guests……But you almost don’t get to hear them. I really really try to like this podcast because the topics and information from guests is quite good and interesting. There are just way too many “um”s and the host is just too darned wordy for my capacity. A lot of podcasts are like this, though; the hosts seem more interested in their own expertise and espousing it than asking their guests good questions and the letting them speak.

pbipatrickGood stuffGreat podcast!! Nolan, Adam, and Wardo are all great and bring something unique to the podcast.
-
Dr. MOVSweet Episode! Was cool to see the tables turn on Janke! The interviewer did a phenomenal job!
-
Dennis RackersDrop the foul language! If you can’t get guests to avoid potty-mouth, bleep it.
-
SbfoxSuper podcast! This podcast is excellent! Great information for the hunter. Very good podcast interviewer.I would highly recommend it.
-
tonyfoeLet the guests speakLots of good info and guests but it seems like the host likes to be the one talking too much instead of letting the guest get through their story or delivering their info.

DreamingofZA wealth of knowledgeI first learned of the JoMH through Western Hunter magazine when I ordered there two print issues. That progressed through their online content, YouTube channel, and podcast. I appreciate their love for wild places and the animals that live there. The group is willing to share their experience both successful and not with beautiful words and images. The podcast pulls in not just professional hunters but rookies and adjacent industries (such as fitness). Keep up the great content!

Tracker gift southern arizonaBeyond the kill (education)I started listening to Beyond the Kill roughly a year ago. Growing up hunting big game since I was 6 I am a very passionate hunter. Growing up hunting in the Pacific Northwest Cascades my father and grandfather always hiked in 4-5 miles every day and hike back out to camp, just to find myself hiking back in in the dark the next morning. I found myself falling into the same habits. I recently started backpack hunting. My hunting world has been completely changed for the better. I have learned a ton of small things that help with the continuous education of hunting and the outdoors from this podcast. Thanks for great content

ThebigjdGreat detailed infoLike this podcast for the detail they get into. Less surface level fluff and more real deal info that you can use for your hunts. Love the way they think outside of the box and not like every other podcast.
-
RokToy17Great ContentNo matter the episode, you guys always bring Content that informs and inspires. The latest episode on the “cave bear” I really enjoyed. The truthfulness and humbleness you presented was refreshing to say the least. I commend you on the ethical decision you made to punch the tag.

spencer lovelessLove the podcast! In depth look at everything mountain hunting.
-
Boggins55Way Beyond the KillI find this pod cast intriguing and compelling. It not just about gear but it’s about us as hunters. I feel challenged personally to step up my game and study my craft through the message of this platform. Keep up the great work and your efforts to improve your listeners personal endeavors!

Paul from MontanaSelf-help for sheepThe incoherent unqualified self-help psychobabble of ep 144 prompted me to unsubscribe from this podcast. There are so many quality hunting podcast now, most of which rehash the same subject material with the same guests. This one finally stood out by being completely worthless. Keep catering to insecure millennials. God help the sheep.

cohofishingMotivationAs a fifty year old man who finds little enough to hunt the hunts available in his own back yard, your podcast gives me the motivation to keep working out and dreaming of once again doing a true mountain hunt. Keep up the good work
-
txreclandReal info and tacticsI’ve been looking to get more into western hunting in the US, with hopes to one day go on an ibex hunt. This podcast is an invaluable wealth of information for any serious hunter. Easy listening!

Coy JackWilling to turn the focus within the communityNew to the JMH and Beyond the Kill, but appreciated the brutal honesty and self-awareness shown in Episode 113: "Inside Modern Huntsman." Refreshing to hear a critical review of hunting's internal politics and the behavoir that feeds a negative public narrative. Looking forward to more critical thought and science based discussions. Keep up the great work.
-
Lance PetrickNumber one hunting podcastI have been listening to Beyond the Kill for about a year, and just like the rest of the content from JOMH, this does not disappoint. I get down right excited when I see a new episode post up in my feed. Not only do you get the standard hunting stories, gear reviews, and plethora of interesting guests Beyond the Kill dives deep into what it means to be a hunter and the emotions from both success and failure.
-
GSwigartGood Podcast, but let the guests talk!I found this podcast when I saw the episode with Steven Drake. I’m highly interested in his process, gear, and thoughts as it relates to outdoor photography. I was disappointed to find that the conversation was dominated by the host rather than the guest in not only that episode, but almost all of them. Overall, it’s a good podcast with lots of valuable information, but if I could offer a bit of advice (from someone who has no right to give advice about hosting a podcast because it’s something I’ve never tried to do myself) it would be to let the guests talk- that’s why we listen. Keep up the good work!
-
timberbeast08Best podcast!Hands down the best podcast! I love listening to it. I love that fact that Adam isn’t “one sided”. He doesn’t preach that you can only hunt with a bow or only with a rifle or that you have to do it this way or use this gear he breaks down what hunting really is and has some awesome guests. Some guests I wish were longer but I love the podcast no matter what
-
cosa73Let the Guests TalkGreat topics and guests. The host continually interrupts, talks over them, and rambles. Just let them talk.
-
JoshsusGreat show!Great podcast to subscribe to. Covers a wide variety topics ranging from gear to tactics to locations. Great info for a midwestern hunter looking for new opportunities out west. Plus it has killer new theme song!!
-
MmbackpackerAlways thoughtfulI always enjoy listening to the podcast. Always some little gem that I take away to make me a better, more efficient hunter.
-
FormerEmployee2Episode 112Love your podcast, but the guy from LOA is try hard. I felt the first 16min was way to goofy. That guy just rubs me the wrong way, I don’t care if he is a top shot.
-
IndyDevGuyGreat InfoGreat info and some really interesting guests. Keep up the great work!
-
akthwackLoving it!Really enjoy listening to the shows.
-
@fishpervertSmarten up and tune inStill enjoying the great insight and content being shared here. Episode 91 with Robbie totally brought me back to my solo diy Barbary sheep and Oryx hunt I did this past December. His surprise weather, anxiousness and sheer awe of the animals he was chasing spoke closely to me. Keep up the good work! @fishpervert

slingingcarbonEpisode 68Excellent Podcast...BRians energy and infomration is infectious. definetly got me thinking of my trianing and how i can improve it. Thansk for getting him on, the breathing segment was fabulous.

BendrixPilotTwice as many...I wish I could give this podcast two ratings but since you asked for critical feedback (“more helpful than a bunch of five stars”), my review is intended to satisfy that request. First of all, five stars for category, choice of subjects and guests. Just stellar. If there were negative stars you’d get em for the interview style. As the saying goes, we have twice as many ears as mouth and should use them in proportion. Rather than a show where your guest is the star, you take over and drone on endlessly about your experience and opinions. Half the time you’re the one talking and that’s just not what I go to podcasts for. If it’s tough to quell your enthusiasm during the interview you could improve the quality of the podcast greatly with some aggressive editing of your considerable contributions. Good luck!

Owlc3610The best outdoor podcast out there!I’ve been listening to the Beyond the Kill podcast since the first one with Donnie Vincent. I listen to many of the top podcasts that are out right now and in my opinion Adam and the JOMH team put out the best one right now. Just like all content out there there are some episodes that don’t relate to you, overall though they hit it out of the park 99% of the time. If you haven’t listened before then you need too.
-
Dg227Great Podcast!Good guests and good info.
-
Tango9045Most intelligent hunting podcastAdam does the best job in the business when it comes to serious, tecnhical, no BS backcountry hunt themed podcasts. Appreciate his humble style vs some of these podcast hosts who can barley contain their love for themselves. The BTK FM podcast is a great representation of the hunting community. Dana Gleason/MR episode was awesome!
-
UTKPGreat info and storiesKeep up the great work.
-
WhitesquatchThis rocksI enjoy many 99% of the content. They take mountain hunting and preparing for mountain hunting very seriously.
-
MTcribdudeWell doneGreat podcast, lots of topics and great guests. Sometimes the host would benefit from remembering to let guests speak a bit more and not beat the topic of the day to a pulp with every breath. With that said, this is overall a very well done, well thought out and well executed podcast that covers insightful material that anyone in the hunting/outdoor community would benefit from hearing.
-
Erik KlineOne of the best!Adam does a great job of bringing on a variety of guests with varying backgrounds. No matter who it is there is always a wealth of quality information.
-
shkeck74Wonderful, 5⭐️Adam and his guests make you feel like you are part of the conversation.
-
BGreen67Insightful about the Experience of HuntingThis is an excellent podcast anchored with a Canadian host who hunts in the mountains and covers both technical/equipment issues around mountain travel/hunting and the issues around hunting and why people hunt in current times (trophy/meat/experience/etc). I would like to see him bring some female voices on the podcast.
-
EcutchGreat voice for conservation and huntingGreat podcast! Excellent hunting and outdoors content.
-
Hunting338Good topicsThis podcast has potential, the topics in this podcast are great, but I find the host (Adam) really tough to listen to. He talks about himself a lot, seems kind of fake. Lately I have had to just stop listening.
-
RK777KrogerOn pointFrom the variety of guests to the topics addressed the podcast is on point for all things hunting
-
Ephil119Great perspectiveInteresting, diverse topics with some amazing industry experts - should be anyone's go to backcountry/hunting list.

-
Jake HatfieldAlways a must listenThe podcast is always filled with great info and stories. I always look forward to new episodes! One of my favorites in the hunting sphere.
-
texasGLHGreat info but slow down the conversationLike the podcast, great info. Please slow down the dialogue and organize thoughts a little better. I wrote this originally after I had accidentally hit the "1.5x's" button (didn't know that was an option) I always thought that the podcasts was kind of fast with words running together, but this put me over the top, haha. Regardless, I Would still prefer that you slow down a little so we can process more of what is being said
-
MichaelxmmaGood contentLoved the episode with Aaron Davidson
-
H2ofowlerNHExcellentGreat podcast with in depth analysis on gear and tactics for mountain hunting and the ethics and communication around hunting. Hosts are extremely intelligent and provide great questions to the guests to help all of us out there. Even though I'm from New England and hunt small mountains compared to the west I still find the podcast information and message about hunting and our responsibilites as hunters/conservationists relevant. Keep up the good work
-
Haus55Awesome conservation messageAn awesome look into mountain hunting and I'm getting excited to explore the north woods even more
-

-
Elk LifeOne of the bestThe Beyond the Kill podcast is extremely educational and informative on hunting, but more specifically mountain hunting. Adam runs a great podcast that is worth the time to listen to.
