Insightful and thought-provoking discussions about faith and life
If you want to go deeper in thinking about our relationship to God and to our neighbors in a time when so much of what people have come to know about Christianity has become really screwed up, take in Justin’s work and find support for your soul from a fellow traveler who’s willing to engage with the big questions in life. Read his written work and listen to his recent music output as well.

    One of my favs
The start of the third season of this podcast jumps right back into the depth it started from with a cut-to-the-quick kind of conversation about justice, mercy, power, race...all the things we need to have conversations about. I’ve listened through the first 2 seasons, and that’s what I love most about this podcast. It’s about real situations and artistry that have important impacts for all of us in community together and it challenges us as listeners to continue learning, to create, to speak up, and do something beyond simply being informed. It’s also encouraging to hear the stories of Justin’s guests who are people in all sorts of areas of expertise and status in life with one main thing in common — they are all people of passion who aren’t willing to just sit and watch the world spin. I love that this show isn’t just about one genre or one topic, but multiple conversations that overlap and all matter in our current culture and climate. They are all people worth learning from to say the least, and Justin leads the shows with great guiding questions and insight so I come away from each episode feeling connected to their stories and with a desire to dig deeper.

    Engaging and Inspiring
Refreshing to hear honest conversations, with thoughtful questions and great content. Just found this through the Ryan O'Neal interview, but I'm hooked! Geek comment : I do think the audio could be compressed a bit more so that the audio is louder and voices clearer while out and about, but even still turn it up and give a listen.

Just listened to the podcast with Ryan O'Neil of Sleeping At Last. This was such a gift to me, as a songwriter. Ryan's songwriting always inspires me and gives me chills. His combination of melancholy and hope with lush string arrangements and piano is incredible. Justin McRoberts, thank you for sharing this conversation.

    Listen...you won't regret it!
I cannot express enough how truly great this podcast is. Deliberate conversation in creativity and purpose. Truly a wonderful, intellectual, and useful podcast for creatives and those trying to find how their creativity can/is/will be/has been used in this life. Kudos Justin!

    Bazan & Mcroberts dream hour
Rarely do you get to listen to your Musical idols be this open and honest. I really like Justin Mcroberts interview style and the way he let Bazan go down many avenues and delicatley unfold his ideas. I am looking forward to listening to the other episodes.

    Intriguing and Moving
I've loved Justin relating with his guests--culture-makers and world-changers engaging with art and some of the challenging issues of our time. A terrific selection of guests, as well as a challenging look at the things they wrestle with. I appreciate Justin's thoughtfulness and he's clearly done his homework understanding the work his guests are part of. The best podcast I've discovered in the past few years!

    Engaging and poignant
I love these podcasts for their variety, creativity, and relevance! While they challenge the normative pattern of thinking, they aren't so lofty as to lose the average listener. Definitely give it a go if you want to be engaged in the world, and/or have a creative spark in your soul.

Unique approach to art and faith conversations
I love what Mcroberts is doing here with interlacing art, culture, faith, passion/calling… It’s like what Rob Bell does with his interviews but with a slightly different bent. I love where I think this is going and can’t wait to listen to more episodes.

A great platform to discuss art, creativity, and faith
This was an instant subscribe for me. Justin hosts a conversation with passion and a clear love of the craft. The first episode made me immediately purchase a comic book, and I have never been a particular huge fan of the medium. His enthusiasm rubs off, and I'm looking forward to seeing who he brings on next.

    Great Podcast
I've been a fan of Justin McRoberts for 10+ years. But this podcast isn't about Justin McRoberts. Justin uses what modest platform he has to elevate other artists in engaging discussion concerning art and the creative process as it relates to self, race, culture, religion, and relationships...oh, and Batman. In a thoughtful yet humorous way that only Justin can deliver, this is a podcast that you must listen to. Not being a huge comic fan, I found this still very relevant, entertaining and thought provoking. I look forward to learning more about Gene Luen Yang's work.

    Loving it!
After listening to this first podcast, I am super stoked to hear more from @Sea. Was really inspiring to hear an artist of Gene’s caliber talk about so many aspects of his craft. Highly recommended listening, you will not be disappointed!

    A good listen
I was pleasantly surprised that a conversation about comics and graphic novels could be so thoughtful. This wasn't just about comics, but about life, culture, story telling, etc. The conversation about art that McRoberts is trying to shape is unique and refreshing.

    Subscribe!
I don't subscribe to many podcasts, but this is one of the few that are worth it. Art today is so easily tarnished by consumptive media, and this program is an effort to restore the richness and meaning of art instead of just entertainment. Not only is Justin a great forward thinker, the guests he invites to this series are insightful and riveting.
