2244356745Actually, it's not WEIRDTo not want someone who forced people to stay inside and not worship. YOU are the weird one. Your podcast has BORED me to tears lately. I finally have my excuse to delete it permanently.

Enigel69Cannot listen to the unfortunate voiceFull disclosure - I am one of those people who have a very unpleasant voice. However, that doesn’t make me able to *listen* to unpleasant voices. Not sure a podcast is what one in that situation needs to spend their time on. I know I totally wouldn’t!

Devine Ms DOnly like usual episodesI don’t even like coffee, let alone Coffee and Cases ,f I wanted to listen to that I would listen to that. I listen to Crime lines to hear Charlie. I don’t like serial killer stories at all. It is so hard to find a podcast that is the perfect type of story scripting.and host, and so disappointing when you’ tune in only to hear a completely different show. If I paid, I would stop.

MaEGgriGreat listen!!!This is an amazing podcast!! Charlie’s devotion equity, justice, and social responsibility is wonderful and refreshing!! I cannot recommend this podcast enough!!
-
lindy luvs musicExcellent case coverage!Charlie always does an excellent job of researching & laying out each case in an honest, thorough & thoughtful way. I have been a longtime listener & can always count on her incorporating just the right amount of details. Thank you Charlie! ❤️

Chell fishMy favorite true crime podcastCharlie always sets the perfect tone; serious, yet engaging, compassionate, but not over dramatized. I always know an episode is going to be clear and well researched. I love the episode format of going through the timeline and the emphasis on the victim and who they were. I also wanted to add, (since a lot of one star reviews are complaining about her voice???) That I also really like the hosts voice and cadence. I find it very soothing, so if you’re thinking about checking this podcast out I wouldn’t let that stand in your way.

A=SCSuperb!I have been an avid podcast listener for several years. I started Crimelines from the beginning and have listened to her show evolve. Charlie does an amazing job of keeping your interest, but not so focused that you can't multitask. If you aren't listening to Crimelines, you definitely need to be. I don't know if it's the Mom mentality or the fact that there's not a lot of conversation outside of her stories, but I love it I love her format

C.FaithSo much complainingLike the podcast in general but don’t understand why the host constantly complains about how overworked she is. This is something she voluntarily started, became successful and yet continues to moan about the schedule and how she tries so hard to get eps out.

Stellastarr222RecommendPeople can’t help what their voice sounds like so I ignore the senseless one stars that complain about that. (I do tend to listen to all podcasts in 1.5x speed tho lol) I’m glad I happened upon this True Crime Podcast this weekend and definitely recommend it.

JR from PapillionNever a one starI have never given a one star review before but I can not get past the host’s annoying voice. I just can’t. When I listen to a podcast I don’t want to cringe at the sound of a voice.

rosalleaOne of the bestCrime lines and Charlie may be an acquired taste whose quality, complexity and style may take time to appreciate fully. She puts earnest effort , heart and honesty into creating a well presented, smart , show. Thank you, thank you Note Listening to Oct 31 2023, with a guest host , I cringed at the incorrect use of my mother and me.. if in question , construct the phrase using only me or I , leave out the “and Mom”, Does it sound correct, if not use other form.
-
12lexa4Thoughtful and well researchedI’ve listened to a lot of true crime podcasts and Crimelines is easily one of my faves. Charlie always thoroughly researches and brings unknown cases into the light. I love that she goes through cases leading up to, during and after the crime and goes above and beyond on the background of victims to humanize them. I always look forward to a new episode
-
WhatsNext71One of the bestCharlie is consistent, accurate, reliable and gets right to the point. Definitely one of my favorites!!
-
Velveeta313It’s The Voice For MeThe way she speaks and the tone of her voice ruin this. I can’t listen anymore.

B•BumpusI 💙 Crimelines!I don’t want to say the same thing everyone else does. As in, I love how detailed Charlie is; but of course, I do appreciate how detailed she is and her approach to being timeline centered bcuz it makes the story easier to follow in cases such as these! I hope her output will continue to remain as robust as it has been in the last several years. She’s stated she won’t be traveling as much this year without giving reasons? — I don’t use Social Media so if she’s spoken as to why; well, I wouldn’t know…. — My interest lies in the episodes & the scant personal banter at the beginning or end of the episodes. A subscription is so worth it to keep the flow of the story WITHOUT ANY ADS! But I feel that way about ALL podcasts! AND I LOVE HOW YOU REALLY “PICK & CHOOSE” YOUR SPONSORS!! You REALLY “CURATE” your podcasts! Finally, one point to critique: I have been a paid subscriber for something around 3+ years now… since my husband died. I subscribe through Apple. It is not easy to get information on subscribing via Patreon: rates, etc vs time without seeming to create an account. But it is SO EASY to subscribe via Apple! But you miss out on SO MANY THINGS but you still pay a LOT OF MONEY FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION!! It would be nice for you to include our birthdays in the Birthday wishes you announce each month! That being said: Good / Excellent on ya for the Superior job you do and have done for so long! 😁 🥳 😆 😊 😃 🤩 😁

Jersey Girl in VermontVery good!I’ve been following Charlie’s podcasts since the beginning . Always interesting. And thank you for giving me new podcasts to listen to from your New Year’s episode. Great idea!
-
larowlanBest podcastCrimelines is definitely one of my favorite podcasts! Charlie does such a great job choosing her stories and captivating listeners. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who asks!
-
RyanblowmeSolved? My favorite part is you say in ep. notes if the case is solved/unsolved ! Unsolved<<<Solved
-
LilyViolet$Good, but…I like the show and information, but her voice is very harsh and just is very hard to listen to. Take some voice training and maybe get some tips from Josh Hallmark. He has a wonderful podcast voice.
-
TressaMNShe needs to get to the point. The starts of her episodes are so tedious and she talks too much about herself and her process. Nobody cares. Get to the point. I can’t listen to this.
-
RapMon3Hilariously BiasedDon’t bother listening unless you want a completely non-expert opinion on why she’s right and the evidence is wrong 😂 Edited to add: Now we defend murderers on this show just because they’re minors. Disgusting. You really need to reflect on yourself
-
RichOrlandoTrue Crime (with heart)Charlie does such a respectful job with the cases. Always a must-listen. I also love the holiday episodes like the haunted corn maze.
-
RebelcakeConsistently the BestFor years has consistently been the most informative and well researched podcast out there. Coverage of MMIWG cases second to none. Can’t recommend enough.
-
Animal Zoo ReviewerLove CharlieSome of these reviews. Oof. I personally love Charlie, her voice, her cadence, her “wokeness.” (Disliking the fact that she’s on the right side of history says more about the reviewer than it does Charlie.) Charlie, keep up the great work!
-
Roxandratron❤️This is one of my favorite True Crime Podcasts. The research is so good. The legal coverage really helps giving the listener closure. Charlie Rocks and I absolutely love how passionate she is about the cases she chooses to cover. 10/10 recommend

DJW6356RepetitiveThe Native American stories are starting to get extremely repetitive. 15 mins of story with very little information, 15 minutes of whining about racism, 15 mins of obvious speculation. These stories are tragic, but the same issues play out every day in rural America where non natives are involved. Putting the blame on people not caring because natives are involved is nothing more than lies and pushing a narrative. The recent crime lines and consequences episode was repeating the same 10 mins of story 5 different ways. The host is a good storyteller when there is enough detail to tell the story.
-
geeeeewizzKermitI cannot be the only person who thinks that this host sounds smack like Kermit The Frog. But I fight through dealing with this unpleasant trait, and also the weird halting, pausing speech patterns and mispronunciations because she does a good job telling a story.
-
Jra4776Love this podcastLove Crimelines. Well researched, very good work. Really appreciate just getting to the story. Look forward to every episode. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
-
Nanadx3Awesome!I love listening to this podcast. It’s one of my very favorites. Always interesting, well researched and well presented. Charlie’s voice is clear and easy to listen to. I look forward to each new episode. So please keep them coming Charlie! I listened to Insight and followed Charlie over to here and have continued to enjoyed this podcast just as much.

readingreneeTinge readingTo be fair I started at episode 1 and went to 6 just to get my feet wet. Three were overly told stories with nothing new. I skipped to newer episodes and both of them were overly told too. Overall the host Charlie is simply reading and has a bold affect with certain words that I finally said NO more please. I can’t imagine why anyone would pay to listen to this. Doing an episode on the DRESSAGE horse style and mispronouncing it throughout the episode and adding a note that she couldn’t ever pronounce it correctly was another cringe. This case was covered by everyone already too. There is always a show note that is sort of a nothing note, the speaking voice isn’t great and the every four to six word “song” is just too much to continue. Example SheDidHaveaDescription BUT SheOnlyKnewWhatHeLookedLike NOT who he was Pass on it IMO
-
team CourtNate and Anna BananaI too love Charlie!Hopefully I’ll meet Charlie in person at TCPF this year. She gives the vibe that I’d just want to hug her. You can just tell she’s authentic.
-
Jjjj kkkkMeNot a good enough podcast to have to pay for every episode!
-
Umbra ListenerSavanna GreywindI am enjoying the podcast. As a hearing impaired person I appreciate good enunciation, pace and clarity of voice, which this podcast has. And really appreciate lack of background music which can make understanding difficult. However, I just started listening to Savanna’s podcast and was thrown off right away when hearing the first date with the year 1997. I thought this happened a lot more recently than that, and looking in the notes see that it is noted as 2017. Don’t know if it can be done in the podcast but it should be corrected. A devastating case for sure. Glad it is being covered, but it should be correct.
-
BagLadyPALove CharlieI love the calm in her voice, as pleasant as one can be when talking about horrendous crimes. The pace is perfect and the cases interesting. Much better solo than with Ali good riddance.
-
Jane RyderA new favorite.Found this podcast while I was randomly driving to Missouri a few months ago. Wonderful show, intelligent host, and socially conscious.
-
NannyRA70’It’s a no from me.I really wanted to like this podcast, it covers so many cases I want to hear about. I just can’t get past the hosts voice. I can’t quite put my finger on it but there’s an unnatural rhythm to her speaking & it’s like she has something in the back of her throat. Maybe if there was a co host it would help break up the monotony.
-
RebNicoleeI love it, but..I love this podcast. Been listening for years. My only complaint is recently the podcast won’t stay in my follow list, I have to manually find it and hit follow in the Apple Store every couple days. It always unfollows and it only happens with this podcast. So I often don’t realize I’m missing episodes. Please look into this to make sure I’m not the only one. This is one of the very few podcasts that has a great talking voice and doesn’t small talk for 10 minutes. I couldn’t ask for anything more!
-
GA2COgirlSolved/unsolvedThank you so much for putting this in the show description. I can decide if I want to listen or not. I’m not a fan of unsolved crime.
-
💕brener❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟❤️My first true crime podcast. Actually the previous podcast. But thanks.
-
AbigaeleOf the highest CaliberI’ve been listening to this genre for several years and Crimelines is the best of its kind (1-2 episodes per case). Only Canadian True Crime and The Vanished are even in the same arena. The utmost integrity and care for the victims and their families goes into decision making. True researchers, almost on an archival level. I’ve been listening from the beginning: the content, production quality, and narration skill just gets better and better. I love Charlie’s cadence and annunciation, though I can understand it may not be for anyone. She is extraordinarily beautiful, inside and out!
-
lbarbs06RantsYou think your podcast is so great like others that you charge now/ make people subscribe! Goodbye Charlie ! Your show ain’t that great and definitely not worth a subscription like others. Your voice is beyond annoying

TheLarkGalExcellent.Professional, thoughtful and well produced. Love it.

kimmie_for_realLove CrimelinesI’ve been listening to Charlie since her previous crime podcast. Crimelines is one of the few podcasts where I actually pay for premium content. Episodes are well researched, underrepresented victims are championed, and some historical context is often provided. If you are looking for a chatty podcast light on facts (this is not a judgement on podcasts like this, they just aren’t my jam), this is probably not the podcast for you. If you want something that will stick with you, I highly recommend Crimelines.
-
lcp24003Great podcastCharlie does a fantastic job with her research. I love that she does less popular cases and covers a lot of indigenous cases to bring to light current issues still going on. She is respectful and covers a great deal of information in a short period of time. I appreciate her hard work!
-
zxclandjsme skUghMy brain literally shuts off trying to listen to this podcast. I still keep trying cuz I have 8 hours a day to fill in but I never make the end of an episode cuz I realize ten mins later that I don’t have a clue what’s going on
