This podcast is so full of interesting information!

The best classical podcast there is.
This podcast is one of my favorites to listen to. I had no idea it was ending, so I wish I would have written this earlier. It’s funny and entertaining and informative all in one, and have gotten into many different kinds of classical music from this show (Madrigals, anyone?) Thanks for all of the memories and best wishes for the future.

    The best podcast
This podcast makes my day every time I listen! Never doubt how many interesting things you can learn from 60 secs 👍🏻

    My favorite podcast
I never thought of myself as a huge fan of classical music but I just love this podcast. The hosts are so funny and charming that they make classical music really accessible. I learn so much each episode and discover astoundingly beautiful music. My only complaint is that there aren’t more episodes every month!

    Love this podcast!
Smart, funny, and educational. Definitely my new favorite podcast!
  • Mazeppa
    Super fun, super informative!
Hilarious hosts provide insight into great music in a way that is not stuffy.

    Could not enjoy this more
And just as grateful for the awesome Spotify playlist.

    Like an E Major
E major is my favorite chord on the guitar. It’s lovely! This podcast is so perfectly harmonized. Humor, education, entertainment, and great music are all here in balance. I’m not a classical music expert, but this is accessible to me and I love to hear Kelly say, “Next!”

Love the composer episodes but the volume is uneven!
Really enjoy listening to these! I’ve learned a lot of fun information about composers! But the volume is really uneven. I have to turn the volume up all the way to hear the majority of the episode and then am blasted when the hosts laugh or yell. Would love the podcast even more if the volume editing were improved!

    New favorite classical podcast?
It did take me a while to get into it... the obnoxious little “That Classical Podcast!” interludes almost made me quit, but I sure am glad I didn’t because Kelly and Chris are so obscenely lovable, they make this podcast an absolute pleasure. I do wish they got a liiiiiiittle more in depth about the composers or spent a little more time on each (it seems somewhat rushed, even beyond the 60 Second Show), but it’s a great snippet of the classical genre! Thanks guys! Love from the States!

    So great!
I’m fairly new to That Classical Podcast, but just loving it so far! Wonderful, fun, intelligent, humorous insights into some amazing music. Well done!!

    So informative!
What I love about this podcast is that it gives music history a bit of a modern twist. The info is accurate and the analysis is in terms that most can understand, even if you aren’t a music professional! I wish they made episodes much more often, and y’all can catch me on that patreon. The work they do is so important! Great work!

    So charming!
This podcast is absolutely charming! I’ve been looking for a classical music podcast for awhile, and I struck gold with this one!!! It’s educational and appreciative of the music while being hilarious, grounded, and well charming. After a hard day of work this is a good way to wind down the day.

    Frog Concertos and Highway Anthems
I always love this podcast, but this week’s was a particular joy to listen to. Also, I really enjoyed the harmonica piece!

    Please come back!
I found this podcast during isolation this Spring. It has been my companion on daily walks. I flat out love it. The youthful exuberance makes me happy. Now exploring all back editions, but so looking forward to new podcasts with Kelly and Sasha. I am a bona fide FANGIRL!

What is the point of saying it so fast that people can’t understand?
Listening to Massenet & Poulenc episode and I am never coming back. What the heck is this 60 sec introduction all about? She is out of breath, I can’t understand a word. Children, what are you doing??
  • listen-ups
Wonderful Content, audio too high def for me
I love that there are other young people who nerd out on Classical! Keep up the good work. I personally get tensed up when the audio is too crisp, and I hear every mouth noise along with your speech. Is there a way to soften that?

    Way to go
Just stumbled across this podcast and am going through the back catalog. If you do not instantly fall in love with Kelly’s effervescent personality you have a heart made of stone, my friend. And as an American of course that British accent is irresistible

    Wonderful Podcast
This podcast is amazing! The hosts are funny and actually know what they are talking about. I learn so much with each episode. I would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to learn more about classical music or would like some new music to listen too.

    Informative, Clever, and Hilarious
I love this podcast! I am a huge classical music nerd and I love hearing all the fun and weird history of these composers and pieces I adore. Keep doing what you’re doing, ladies! This show is amazing.

I love listening to this podcast! It’s nice to know there are other classical music nerds out there, like myself. The 60 second bio is hilarious!!

    Hilarious and Engaging
You two do an amazing job. You’re hilarious, have great chemistry, and do an amazing job researching, synthesizing, and interpreting classical music knowledge. Love this podcast!

    You’ll always learn something new

    Just Joyful
This podcast is a joyful celebration of classical music. No matter if you are a trained musician or a classical newbie you will learn something and likely giggle along the way.
  • Kabeba
    Yikes
I never write reviews on podcasts but my borderline unhealthy obsession with their voices and hilarious wit has pushed me over the edge. I know so little about classical music but have always wanted to like it, just haven’t had a reasonable place to start. And it’s such an exclusive, stuffy seeming temple from the outside - these folks just make it so much more human and funny. Also, I think my wife is happy that an ocean separates us from Kelly. Way too much of a fan of hers for our marriage to be healthy otherwise. Please keep this podcast going! And give us a dog update, I mean come on: you have a puppy!
  • schmahler
    Cheeky little 5-star
Picked up this podcast since I (almost) missed being in academia, discovering new chunes to jam to, and discussing dank classical music history in class. I was looking for something that took a broad look at the genre and wasn’t exceedingly dry/pedantic. Looks like I found it! I’ve gone back and listened to all your episodes, sometimes even twice. Thank you for your positive energy and passion. Love y’all! (Yes, even you Chris!)

    I miss Chris
Can he come back for visits sometimes?

Classical music with sense of humor
I’d never thought classical music can be discussed in such a fun and lighthearted way. The hosts are hilarious and passionate about classical music. I giggle with them when they make silly jokes. I want to be their best friends and talk about classical music with them all day! The podcast brings me a lot of joy as well as great music. I added so many beautiful pieces of classical music in my Spotify because of this podcast. Keep up with the good work :)

    Music noob
I know absolutely nothing about music but I want to learn. That Classical Podcast was about the 8th one I tried after dropping the others for either never playing music or, I felt, talking down to people new to classical music. The first episode I listened to was the one after Sascha joined and I was instantly hooked and listened to 8 episodes back to back. She and Kelly are hilarious together and they remind me a lot of My Favorite Murder. They talk in terms I can understand like “bangers” and the info is fun, interesting, and memorable (like that Chaicoughski is the emo scene of the classical world, or organists all have weird shoes.) Highly recommend starting here if you want to check out classical music!

    Fabulous podcast
Best music history podcast. Absolutely hilarious! You bring music history to life for the 21st-century listeners.

So happy to have found my new thing
I was a super True Crime podcast listener but I needed a break with something new. This is exactly what I was looking for.
  • GlazeFox
    I love listening!
I’ve gotten sick recently and I’ve been just binge listening to these episodes; I’m a fan of classical music but don’t know too much about it and this is a really fun way of learning more
  • Lizmg
    Really great!!!!
This is my new favorite podcast! I love that they’re able to take a deep dive into music history but still keep it entertaining and funny. I have a fairly extensive musical background, but I still learn a ton in every show. Love it!!
  • Tetrogrammaton
Finally an interesting and entertaining classical podcast!!
Just discovered this. Love the humor but also the classical music insights. I hope y’all guys continue to keep the shows coming!
  • Veedubz92
    Love it!
I would be so sad if this podcast ended. I so enjoy the banter and the fun topics each week. I love classical music but don’t have anyone to talk to about it or enjoy it with and this podcast fills that void for me. I’ve discovered so many great tunes from this as well.
  • RichSeine
    Sorry
I couldn't get past all the giggly chatty. Was hoping for a nice trip down classical lane. Oh well. Not for everyone!
  • Suzanne-0
    AMAZING and hilarious
This podcast is exactly what I was looking for! I wanted to learn more about classical music and be exposed to composers and pieces I hadn’t heard of, and this does exactly that, PLUS it’s sooooo unexpectedly entertaining. I have to listen in the car or at home because I literally laugh out loud when I listen, Kelly and Chris are so fun and silly!! This podcast honestly holds its own as pure entertainment, I forget that I’m listening to it to learn sometimes because it feels so natural and easy to swallow—like I’m just having a convo with some pals and they’re telling me about something they know about. Listen!!!
  • armentor1
    Love Love Love
Here is your cheeky 5 star review, great job !!
  • anothertenor
I’m so excited that I’ve found this!
I’m so excited to have found this! Just in listening to half of the introduction I’m so excited to hear that two FANS of classical music are actively SHARING the passion of classical music! I’ve loved classical music all my life. I went to college for Vocal Performance. I’m so happy that there are fans of music dedicated to the preservation of our musical history. We play for you. Thank you!
  • JWar88
    THE MOST CHARMING PODCAST
I’m a professional classical pianist, but know an embarrassingly small amount about most outside my realm. The hosts are unstuffy, fun, and stress that classical music is absolutely not the pretentious, aloof form it’s touted to be!
