MiasphotoBest Podcast for Homeschooling MomsThe Homeschool Sisters podcast is not just about how to homeschool it’s about everything from helping your struggling reader to finding ways to teach your ADHD kiddo to how to take care of yourself so that you can be there for your family. I love how honest they are about what they have personally done or been through and what helped them along the way. This is the only homeschooling podcast that I regularly listen to. I highly recommend it!

TwoAmazingBoysAnswered so many questionsThe January 27, 2023 episode was probably the best/most interesting/most helpful homeschooling podcast episode I have listened to in the two years I have been homeschooling. Thank you.

Aunt May-MoWhew… Your back! Please overlook any grammar errors I was public school educated!😂 I am so THRILLED the podcast is back! I am sad we will be losing the original team but with all the other sisters and experts you had on before will help with the transition. You unintentionally redirected us into that environment. Before I found your podcast I felt lost in this journey. Even though I have two very good co-op groups and a slew of sisters to get advice from. I found myself starting out with two moms on opposite ends of the spectrum. One who payed top dollar for the video, books , one and done to the mom who Harley used anything brand new and made up her own curriculum from several different resource's. I just didn’t know where we fit in. Every year it feels like we are finally figuring this thing out and I don’t get as overwhelmed. I don’t think going to public school will ever be an option for us. We have been able to focus and jump around to the “land of no grade levels”. We are in such a small community where everyone knows everyone and if my kids went back they may not even be with the same class mates , they may be ahead and they would be bored and not have that relationship they had before so I didn’t want to cause issues there. Anyway I’m so glad you atleast are back I feel more grounded in the normalcy of this podcast. I’m glad your not pushy in your marketing. I can’t express how annoyed I am with those website that you just want to browse on and about 7 seconds in it pops up the “ signup for a discount page”! I’m on your website so just give me the discount. Lol Best wishes to all leaving and all who plan to stop by! I can’t hardly wait.

AidaDisneySo DisappointedI really wanted this podcast to come back but to immediately find out they sent their kids back to public school or planning to send back was so disappointing. Not much to listen to anymore. If I want to hear moms just podcast, this isn’t it.

StubbazubbaMiss my sistersI feel like I’m in the conversation with Cait and Kara as they talk openly about the ups and downs homeschooling and parenting. When I go to long with out listening are start to feel their absence in my life. These sisters have helped me feel confident in my own approach school with my kids. Think about each child individually and take it one season at a time.

Ancon76In My Happy PlaceHey Sisters, thank you :) I’m not a homeschooler and own a business, that at times takes me from the home. But, I’m a Mom of 3, 10 and under who secretly would love to Homeschool😎 When my mind is swimming with un-healthy thoughts your show always brings me right around to where my heart ultimately is, my awesome and quirky family. Just where I really want to be, my happy place. Thank You, Rebecca

CelesteCoffmanA calming presence and always makes me laugh! This is my very favorite podcast and I’ve listened to a BUNCH. I always feel encouraged and challenged by what the Sisters share here. It’s just very real and also so much fun. I’ll agree that sometimes they do get chatty and off-topic, but that’s a lot of the fun for me. The Sisters’ friendship is one I aspire to! I’m especially thankful that this season (fall 2021) they’re focusing on a series of posts designed to just really help all of us get back on track with homeschooling after the last 18 months of heartache. I listen and take notes!
-
AllieLa934Great resource for new homeschoolers!I love this podcast! I went to the website to listen to the earlier episodes so I can go through them all! I’m a new homeschool mom (pre-K) and I’m trying to figure out if we are going to homeschool for the long haul. I have to say I really wish I find a homeschool friendship like you guys have!
-
dph065GREAT podcast but very chatty latelyCait and Kara, first of all, I absolutely LOVE you guys and your podcast! I listen to it all the way to the end just to hear Cait tell me, "you got this sister!" I just wanted to say that, while I love your silly banter and off-topic talk, I thought the last two episodes had a liiiitle too much off-topic conversation, at least for me. I really think you guys have a wealth of information to share and you do it in such an encouraging way, but I often only have 15-20 minutes to listen to a podcast (usually while I'm driving someone somewhere!) and while it's always entertaining to hear you guys chit chat, it's frustrating when I'm eager to hear about the episode's topic and I can listen for 20 minutes and you're not there yet. I hope you take this as constructive criticism because like I said, I love you both and this is by far my favorite podcast. I always recommend it to my homeschooling friends. I think with either a little more editing or just staying focused/on topic it will once again be perfect 😊
-
Gmcz71DisappointedI was really hoping this would be a good resource for information. My sister in-law said it was a good podcast. They spent the first 40 min with just random talk. Then went off track multiple times within the last 20 min. I wish it would have been what it was actually sore to be about. The actual topic was spoken about for maybe 10-15 out of the hour. Not helpful.
-
BrynZDavisNot exactly what I was looking forThey spent a lot of time chatting about other stuff that didn’t really pertain to homeschooling or the topic. More like them just catching up. I personally came here for the homeschool topic. They lost me after 10 minutes of talking about podcasts being erased, husbands napping and alarm clocks.
-
JenOfAvonleaInspiringI found this podcast before we realized we were a homeschooling family. Having the sisters along the way has been helpful and inspirational. I look forward to each episode and have learned so much!!! Thank for everything!!
-
Lauren Mae JuneRelatable and insightfulWonderful podcast about REAL homeschool life. Amazing ideas and thoughts with real life experience and tons of different perspectives. It’s like chatting with a long time friend who knows you deeply and is quick to see the best in you. Uplifting, positive and real

-
agzelovSo great!I LOVE this podcast. So helpful as a new homeschooler, plus just downright fun. These ladies are so gracious and humerous and really easy to listen to. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
-
littlegreenmamaHelping us get throughI’ve learned a lot from Cait and Kara, even in just the short time since I found this podcast. Not only are the resources so useful but empathy and encouragement and the humor from these ladies is so valuable and something that I look forward to every time I get to listen to another episode. Thanks Sisters!
-
Vt blazerInformative, entertaining and peacefulI love this podcast. Kate and Kara always make me smile with their relaxed yet engaging approach to homeschool. I love how they are clearly happy go lucky people and their laugh is contagious. The pepper ideas into each podcast that are tangible and attainable. I love the positivity that exudes from these women.
-
Socool333Thank you for this one!I am a new subscriber, new to the idea of homeschooling (our girl is 2) and I am SO EXCITED to have found this episode. Thank you for sharing that we are not alone ! It means the world to me. 💗
-
LovelyLifeCompanyRefreshingly normal homeschoolers!I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to hear Cait and Kara encourage homeschooling moms! Finally, homeschool support that isn’t stuffy, legalistic and dripping with pride. I love their authenticity and gentle approach to the homeschool life. This is the kind of support and encouragement that ALL moms need. Thank you!
-
lihasbizNew listener and loving it!I'm new to homeschooling thanks COVID. Trying to embrace this lifestyle and find these sisters to be encouraging and entertaining. I'm going back and bingeing on most of the previous episodes.
-
hometeacheratheartHelp has arrived! In each episode, Cait and Kara are always a help to me. I am so grateful for their united voice and sincere care for homeschool moms who are trying to figure out the best routes for their family’s interests and styles. If you are a homeschool parent, you won’t regret listening to any... or all :p ... of the Homeschool Sister’s Podcast episodes. Enjoy!

Rng812My new favoriteSo many great ideas. I feel like I’m growing in my creativity just listening. Great interviews and book recommendations all the time. The only thing I wish was that they could put all their links right in the podcast app notes area instead of having to go to the website and find the specific episode for the links, or at least link the app to the specific episode on your site. But I’m so into it I’m motivated to do the extra step or to pause and take a personal note of titles & ideas.
-
P&W LeaderIt’s growing on me!I only gave this podcast a three star review because I feel like there is a lot of banter in the beginning. I’m all for banter, I’m actually fluent! But when I listen to a podcast I would really just like information to cone a little bit more quickly. I know it’s not a big deal but I do fast forward and most times it’s usually about 15 minutes before we actually get into the topic. All of that aside, I am still enjoying listening to their tips for homeschool as a new homeschool mom.
-
anniemillyardThese gals are hygge for my homeschool momma heartEvery time I listen to Cait and Kara, I feel warm and cozy and wish I was having tea in person with them. I love the giggles and comforting candor they have together, and topics they cover help me appreciate homeschooling as the special, individualized life it can be, when we embrace our own families’ uniqueness. I hope you never stop sistering us homeschool mommas who need your chats like a cup of soup for our souls. Thank you for this podcast!
-

dog_gone07New Homeschool Parents’ Best FriendCait and Kara are a bright shining light that eases these parents brains in getting started “with this homeschool thing.” They are so open and honest and all the game schooling resources are right up our alley! Thank you guys for being around!

EricLeviFun and FocusedI totally binge listened to these wonderful ladies on a 6 hour drive to Valencia! Thankful for WiFi so I could download even more episodes for the return drive! I finally feel like if I decide that homeschooling is the path for us that I can tackle it with confidence!
-
mamabearof3cubsLOVE the sisters!!!!!!!!!!!!!These ladies have helped change our lives. Between this and the Wild +Free podcast, I’ve found the courage and inspiration to homeschool my children. These wonderful ladies make homeschooling seem not so daunting and within the realm of possibility. I’m always laughing throughout the podcast, because they’re having a good time and it’s just fun! Thank you!!! I love this podcast and recommend it to every homeschooling mama I know!!!
-
BMerklinTHE BEST!I found the sisters a few years ago, and it completely changed the perspective and flow with which I homeschool my kids. A couple years in and each episode leaves me feeling like I’ve left from a coffee date with friends, being refreshed and renewed! Thank you ladies for being exactly YOU! You help me know I’m not alone in this thing, and with each new friend interested in homeschooling, I steer them here because it’s just SO GOOD! Love to you both!

Week I of of of of of ohFiercely Normalizing.I feel validated in my struggles, not only in providing for my child’s education, but in building family life and finding balance between that huge work load and keeping my sense of self. Thank y’all so much for sharing. I’m at home shouting “Same!”

Gret HillMy favorite podcast!!I adore Cait and Kara!! This podcast keeps me going and uplifted (and laughing) when I am feeling overwhelmed and overloaded. Or a fun way to just unwind. They have been so influential in our homeschooling and I am continually grateful for them ❤️ Love you sisters
-
nikkisaidwhatContent is great but it’s hard to listen toLove the content of this podcast but gosh the sound quality is SO TERRIBLE! One person has great sound but the volume is always too low. The other is loud and sounds like she’s in a tin can. Makes it super difficult to listen to.
-
JennybhenryOne of my favorites!I have a three year old who I am homeschooling. This podcast has answered so many of my questions and concerns, and given me a realistic idea of what to expect in the coming years. I love the honesty shared in the episodes and these ladies are so fun to listen to. Looking forward to future episodes!
-
stellagirl05Thank You!I just have to say...thank you! I’m diving into homeschool for the first time this year! My son has struggled with traditional school since day one in kindergarten. Six years later and I’m getting over my fear and jumping in! Your podcast helps guide me and comforts my mind just by learning from you! Thanks again!
-
TessaHardimanGreat podcast for homeschool encouragement & know howCait & Kara do a great job each episode of encouraging me in homeschooling. They share real life stories and tips. They made me believe that I could do this homeschooling thing!

Faith36382925Lovely podcastThis is the first podcast I ever got “sucked into” and listened to every week. I am just now starting homeschool preschool but I’ve been listening since my son was 6 months old! I’ve learned a lot and I always enjoy just how nice the podcast is - very hygge indeed.
-
utah soonerBlake7I love this podcast. I home school my 3 oldest who are 7th, 9th and 12th grade. My 2 youngest go to our public elementary school 2nd and 4th grade where I am also very involved. Homeschool has been so good for us in more ways than I could have ever guessed. I love every episode these ladies make and relate to them so well. I also so love all the book and product suggestions. Thanks Cait and Kara!

NovembermommyI finally feel like I got this! For months I have been feeling insecure, inadequate, ill-prepared and mostly like I was letting my kids down. I felt like I was in a twister but at the same time trying to stay on solid ground and walk out of it. In desperation I googled homeschool podcasts. I'll be honest, the logo drew me in :) After listening to just a couple podcasts, I felt educated and empowered. I knew I wasn't alone, but for some reason this podcast assured me I TRULY wasn't alone!! For the first time since homeschooling, I actually feel like I got this homeschool thing and enjoy teaching my littles. I can't thank them enough!
-
Ericksen86We’re not alone! This podcast is like have a best friend there for you all the time. We’ve just started homeschooling after my daughter had been struggling with emotional problems in school. After trying everything for a year my husband and I decided that homeschooling was the beat option for us. I started crying when I listed to the episode on support you child socially and emotionally. Thank you ladies for making me feel like I’m not alone, I will forever be thankful I found your podcast.
-
Mother of RedheadsConfidentListening to this podcast was really needed. I feel comfortable & confident homeschooling now! I’m not sure I would have continued homeschooling without finding y’all. Thank you!
-
EllesitaSolo parenting epi misses the markI really really enjoy this podcast but as an actual single mom who homeschools I was really excited to listen to the solo parenting podcast and was really disappointed and let down when it was about people who are married but work around their spouses being gone. I know that it’s difficult, however it’s a drastically different experience when you still have that extra financial support, so I definitely thought that podcast was going to be much more for me and it left me out in the cold. I thought it was gonna be so much more about how single parents have to figure out how to manage homeschooling by themselves while also working and it was a big letdown
-
AgthegageLove these sisters! They have brought a since of normalcy to my life just by how relatable they are. It's so much fun for me to listen to them laugh and have fun sharing their stories. They have some of the best guest speakers, who cover all things family and homeschool for me personally.
-
LRJI LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!This show is such a breath of fresh air! I love your laughter (so check yourself, Nancy) and when you go down serious rabbit holes. 😂 It feels like I get to listen in to a real conversation between two friends, and I love it! I always laugh out loud at least 2 or 3 times each episode. Oh, and you do provide a ton of helpful information and wonderful encouragement.😉 Just sayin....keep it up sisters! You are loved! ❤️
-
TheSimpleLivingMomLots of love for Cait and Kara!I love The Homeschool Sisters Podcast! I’ve been following Kara’s blogging and recommendations for a long time and always enjoy hearing more from her and really appreciate her sense of humor! Getting to know more about Cait has been a joy as well! These ladies always have a topic that is relevant to what I’m going through as a homeschool mom and their insights are thoughtful, inspiring, and encouraging! I also loved the Kindred Homeschool Conference that they just had and can’t wait for the next one! And if you like great ebooks you need to check out Kara’s because we’ve had so much fun with History Mysteries, The Harry Potter one, and Monday Invitations! Cait’s ebook about lazy unit studies is giving us a lot of inspiration as well! I know these ladies are busy homeschooling moms but we sure appreciate them taking the time to share with us! Keep up the great work ladies!
-
nsimone91Hilarious!!I’m halfway through the homeschool philosophies episode and I LOVE IT!!! I love that it feels less like a show and more like listening in on two besties’ phone call. You both are SO funny!! I’m dying!! Also pleeeeeasedo an episode all about Nancy 😂
-
ReagsgeniousThey get the giggles and it makes me smile!I really love the ladies. They make you feel like you are right up in there giggling with your friends. Full of great material that has spurred changes in our own homeschool life. Worth a listen! Then another listen.... then you’ll be binge listening like I do. It would be hard to find other homeschool moms as open hearted as Cait and Kara.
-
CAVATeacherThank you!Listening to your podcast, along with talking to many homeschooling families, helped us to make our decision to homeschool next year. It’s good to know I’m not alone in this new endeavor!
