ShreenBeansGreat chemistry! You two have great chemistry together and your model of researching and then discussing the topics works so well! I’m a newer player and also newer listener and I have gone back through your older casts to learn more lore and get inspired to put my own spin on my characters. Thank you!

Wally3212End of an eraI don’t usually write podcast reviews. But I’ve listened to 99% of their episodes so far, and it’s a great for when you need lore, corny jokes, or a good review for your own games. They’ll be missed. Best of luck to both Wil and Brian now that it’s going to be ending soon.

StarmondoGreat Pod!Excellent podcast with the right balance of talk, info and humor. I listen to the new episodes first thing every Monday, and always learn something new. Highly recommended!
-
WritingMooseGreat Information for DMs and Players!I’ve been listening to the podcast for about three years. I love listening to the lore of D&D-settings, classes, species, monitors, etc. As a player I love doing a dive into past episodes to learn about classes I want to play to gather more information about them. You guys are great! Thanks!
-
Deep like DagonThank youI started listening to this podcast about 3 years ago. When I started playing DnD and it has greatly enhanced that experience. I have learned so much from these 2 and they have greatly inspired my journey as a player and a DM. I have been DMing my campaign for about a year and a half now and still find myself doubling back to episodes to get more inspiration or to get a feel for a monster. I get deep like Dagon so I’ve listened to every episode at least once and am so happy with how everything you guys do just keeps getting better. I can’t wait until unhollowed comes out. I have been wanting to do patreon for awhile but just couldn’t afford it. But I will be adding it to the budget soon so I can hear your newest campaign. I loved super quest saga and I have a feeling I’m going to love unhollowed.

Loki101418Best TTRPG Show AroundI started listening to the this show in 2014 when my wife and I were dating and long distance. You guys were the sound track of my 3hr ride. Now living with my wife and being a father I continue to listen while I paint my minis and drive to work. Brian and Will are amazing I love their banter and the show keep it up guys! P.S I also tell my friends that are new to DMing to check you guys out.

TheGameKillrDND Lore That Even The Very Gods Can’t Handle!! 😱I don’t watch this show in order, but there’s LOTS of topics to learn about. 😵💫 Specific events (like the Spell Plaque) and items (like the Wand of Orcus) gets covered. There’s also some miscellaneous stuff in there too like a more recent episode (this review was posted in June 18, 2024) when Zoe Franznick got interviewed and we get to know and learn about a few things.🙂 For those new to this show or are about to listen to it the first time, I got one thing to tell you: prepare for 🍆 jokes. Don’t put this show on if you have kids nearby! 😵

GarciaMan988Long time listener 1st time commenterSoo I fell behind and far behind but hearing a pseudo recommendation for Kung-Pow! Enter the Fist meant I was required to express my appreciation for you guys. I have learned so much lore and gotten so many ideas for my own games. Keep up the great work!

Over excited about everythingAbsolutely Fantastic!I‘ve been playing DnD for 20 years and still I learn so much new stuff with every episode of this podcast. The hosts are fantastic, the topics are interesting, the theme music rips. I find myself recommending episodes to my friends constantly. Search for any topic and they have a show on it that will give you new insights and improve your experience at the gaming table. Thank you Brian and Will for your years of hard work and dedication.

N_BoomGreat Podcast for DnD Lore Lovers and DMsAs a Lover of Lore and a DM always looking for inspiration, I’m a BIG FAN of the Dungeoncast.
-
Alastor SkywalkerGreat PodcastLove the podcast so far especially the deities and demigods episodes. Ever since you did the episode on 4E I have been wanting to ask something. Can you please do an episode on Erathis and or Melora? They are two of my favorites and I want to weave them into my world but whenever I try to find any non critical role lore on them I get practically nothing. It feels like dnd tried to erase them completely compared to the other 4E gods because they were a canonical couple. Maybe I’m just insane but hope you can provide more clarity.
-
GungajasonGreat TTRPG podcastIf you are interested in TTRPGs and also two chill dudes spoiling 20 year old movies and TV shows, this podcast is for you. Brian and Will are witty, informative, and entertaining. If you are not interested in these things, go do something else.
-
robert3PXEntertainingly InformativeI’ve listened to y’all for a few years and have enjoyed the lore and info on D&D but lately I really tune in to hear the Grand Adventures of Illian and Beern, those two are leagues better than the Demogorgon guys 😂
-
DM WendyReturning to this has been so funThe Dungeoncast was one of my first pieces of D&D media when I was looking into the Abyss for a homebrew campaign in 2018. I instantly fell in love with the podcast, and as a teenager I would listen to episodes while I did homework, yardwork, and walked to and from school. During college I stopped listening as much because I got busy. Now that I have my degree, I have been working at an office job in engineering. My entry level work is still fairly menial so I listen to this podcast to pass the time. Returning has been an absolute treat, and I am adoring the Year of the Elemental! Now I wanna run mephits and add a tie in to the Para-Elemental Plane of Ice to my newest campaign! Shoutout to Demogorgon!!!
-
Finn DragonMost fun you can have besides playing D&DI have been playing D&D since the early 90’s and have always looked for a show that just sat down and talked about D&D lore in a fun and engaging way. You honestly can’t do better than the Dungeoncast. Trust me I’ve looked…
-
markthegnomeDnD content with a soulThis DnD/TTRPG podcast is a great mix of lore, live play and jokes. William and Brian are funny, and lively, and they obviously love what they do, which sets the pod apart from others. Not gonna lie-they're also both pretty cute, with great beards if you check out their youtube. I'm looking forward to their campaign setting for space/sci-fi play in DnD.
-
IronOak-KellyFor the Lore junkiesI’ve been playing DnD for nearly 30 years and I still learn new things in just about every episode! Admirable dedication to the hobby!
-
DaveyZeroNot too shabbyCame for the whips and chains, stayed for the quips and brains.
-
NachohydraVery entertainingBest funniest dnd stuff ever

Renix NinjaBest D&D podcast out thereI’ve been playing D&D for about a year now and as such, I searched out many D&D podcasts. This is by far the best non-live play show out there. I’ve listened to every new episode as they come out and I’ve been working through their back catalogue and just finished episode 200. After all that, the show keeps holding strong for me. These guys are very knowledgeable about D&D, generally smart, funny, genuine, and they have smooth, creamy radio voices. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who likes Dungeons & Dragons. You’ll learn about the game, the lore and creatures, and be entertained too!

…anonymous…,goodgreat

SuperCrazyMan00It’s the bestI like this podcast because it teaches me about the lore of previous editions that I know little about.
-
TheEBspoonI love this podcastThe best part about this podcast is that it’s mostly just two Bros, chilling and talking about really fun stuff. Brian and Will are two amazing people who are really devoted to what they do

MudaMasherWonderful for DM’s, Players, and people trying to sleepI pop this podcast on pretty much every night to head to sleep with an AirPod on, this isn’t a knock on the cast to insinuate that it’s boring, I listen to it awake as well but the audio quality and calm familiar voices of the hosts, drift me right to sleep as I learn about DND lore through osmosis in my sleep, keep it coming guys thank you for the quality content!
-
Sad with DisneyLove the show!I love the explicit language!
-
The--CelestialAmazingGreat Show but wish was not explicit
-
BustajibbStarted great, not so much anymore. This podcast started AWESOME!!!! Gave a LOT of info, and not just on the game material but discussing the origins of the material from the real world that is an inspiration to the game. NOW all they do is READ, verbatim, wiki entries and provide no additional content other than crude jokes that often details the shows.
-
The Bard DarkharpLongtime D&D playerI started playing many many years ago, in first edition and enjoy hearing new Loremasters on the rise. Great, funny and entertaining show. Catchy music and clever segments.
-
WompitywompwompPhenomenal resource for DMs and Players alikeFound Dungeoncast a couple weeks again and have been flying through the content! As a DM who learned entirely through playing and osmosis, it’s been great learning about the significance of what makes the Feywild vs Shadowfell vs the 9 Hells all so distinct besides color palette. Keep it up dudes!
-
TorynDayHelluva podcastShout out to Demogorgon! This podcast is 9 hells approved.!
-
BrandonC41Really good ttrpg podcastLove the new skits. Looking forward to DCC RPG coverage. Praise Bobugbubilz.

Horsedonkey420turntupswagGreat Content, Not Great VolumeI’ve been listening to/watching The Dungeoncast for about 4 or 5 years now and the topics and content have been helpful in expanding my GM knowledge, as well as just overall entertaining. My only issue is the volume of the podcast recently. It’s very low and uneven. I have to turn the volume up a lot for the content but then an ad comes on and the ad is super loud so I’m having to keep changing the volume. I’d recommend a lot of compression then amplifying the volume to -3 decibels. The program “Audacity” is free and a good tool for editing since you can get numerous sound engineering effects and set up workflows for ease of use.

JoshTitlerGreat for allThis podcast is dope! I came in around episode 200, and have not only kept up on all the latest episodes, but also am mostly through the back log. As a DM, it’s a great resource to get background on lore while also a good resource for players as well. Plus it’s hosted by two sweet dudes! I also highly recommend Superquest Saga, Special Guest Jake and Josh Freeland also seem super cool. Why wait? Get to it! It’s nice to be able to binge shows like these in hour doses for sure. Keep up the great work. Update (7-24-23): I loved the Sword of Zariel episode. I am currently running a game in the Ravnica setting, and have set enough moral quandary for my players to switch from good, to bad, back to good recently. It’ll be nice to have a high level item I can let them earn no matter which side of the coin they land on. Keep up the good work!
-
EstabonTCBest D&D podcast out thereLove this podcast so much! Listen to it every week.
-
CooperRyan77Amazing for players and DMs alikeI found the Dungeoncast after exhausting all the actual play podcasts I’m currently following and it was a delightful discovery as it inspires me with new ideas based on existing lore that I wouldn’t necessarily get just listening to other people play. The hosts, Brian and William, are both very entertaining and I’m excited to see more of what they create in the future
-
DafyedTimeless DnD (or table top RPG) contentWith a huge library of topics perfect for DM/GM and player alike. Just search up something from an upcoming or recent session and get the background info with these deep dives.
-
GhgggbbvvvLove the show!Great tool for new and veteran DMs. Forgot the two hosts names, just remember them as the d!ck joke one and the apologetic one that is slowly making more d!ck jokes.
-
Dragoal$WonderfulThis is an absolutely perfect podcast for all TTRPG fans. This show has given me so many ideas and inspirations for my own campaigns as a dungeon master. I’m not great at writing but what I’m trying to say is WATCH THIS.
-
JackstewtunesTTRPG Podcast That Isn’t An Actual Play! 🙏I love a good actual play podcast but keeping up with 1000 stories gets exhausting after a while so I am grateful these guys exist! A perfect way to get all the TTRPG fixes I want in with fun, informative, and exciting episodes.
