Right after my morning meditation and coffee listening to side hustle school is the first thing I do. Each show inspires me every day. I'm gaining enough inspiration and knowledge from each of the shows to hopefully someday take action and start my own side hustle. The show is so well done, short and to the point. I can't wait to hear what's coming the next morning.

On the outside, this podcast looked good; small segments of information on a specific subject. Well, I tried a few episodes and found that it’s just too filled with ads. The ratio of ads to content is too high.

Side hustle rocks

I used to be a huge fan. Side Hustle School podcast used to be a huge part of my everyday routine and workflow. Now, every episode’s littered with ads. I understand that in order for creators to continue producing content they have to have sponsorships, but the number and length of ads and their poor placement within the episodes make the episodes gross. This isn’t it, Chris. Very disappointing.

This podcast provides virtually no value. Seems like the creator’s focus is ad revenue. Way too many ads for a 6-7 minute podcast. The “guests” sound like AI generated voices and there is absolutely zero interaction between the host and the guest. Much better options out there.

I have been listening to Side Hustle School since the 1st episode! I love hearing about everyone’s creative side hustles and how each one is different. I’m growing my professional organizing side hustle and learn so much from every episode!

I am a teen and trying to build my first side hustle, this has given me so much inspiration.

This podcast gives so much realistic, insightful ideas in such a short amount of time. I didn’t think that could be possible but I was wrong! Love the stories shared but also the daily texts I get on how to formulate my ideas is something I look forward to everyday. Great podcast. A must for anyone trying to build their side hustle.

For a podcast that is less than 10 min long, there are way too many ads. Plus, the “info/advice” is often not in depth enough to help me.

This show got me obsessed with making a second source of passive income. Chris’s thoughts and ideas are super inspirational, but also actionable. It took a year or so of trying different ideas, but thanks to the insight from this podcast I was able to start a small (mostly passive) side business that brought in over 20k in the first year. I credit a lot of that to Side Hustle School.

I am grateful for the ideas that work for me but, I am equally grateful to learn about great ideas that would have been failures for me. We are not all wired the same and knowing that we can see ideas and concepts and say “great but not for me” has intrinsic value. No where else are we exposed to so many ideas as we are here. Chris keep up the great work. By the way… truly enjoyed your book the money tree. It made me remember I actually had an account and am now posting and selling again. Thanks all the way from Western Arizona.

This podcast is the best testament to entrepreneurship and how it’s applicable for just about everyone that is brave enough to try it. Thanks Chris for sharing your mission with the world.

I love the honesty with which each of the guests speak. I agree that everyone needs a side hustle. Who knows it just may replace your job and be even more successful.

I love how Chris encourages everyone to create their own unique side hustle. He believes in “regular people” and wants everyone to create their own security & independence. I listen to learn about Side Hustles but also live for the puns. Thanks, Chris for this terrific podcast.

Two minutes of content. Seven minutes commercials

The host knows nothing and spends 3/4 of each “podcast” on advertising or regurgitating worn out tropes about “markets.” Oh, he’s also good at talking about himself. For example: recent episode on the used car market. Did Chris (host) provide ANY meaningful advice? Nope. Talked about how he doesn’t like driving (like I care), then told the questioner to read Reddit for the information that he sought the shows expertise for! Don’t waste your time. I’ll never get mine back and after all: “time is money.” Ooh, with that- I’m now as qualified as Chris is to host a “hustle” show!

I’ve been listening in my work truck for nearly a year now and every idea sounds like the one I will try next. I have failed at selling things online and mentoring but listening to the show makes me realize that those are only two options that don’t work for me. Onto the next one. Great job on the podcast SHS team!

This show is so fun to listen to - I love how people come up with the most creative ideas. Chris curates the businesses/products for the show, and somehow continues to find them. It’s like a candy store for people who like to hear new ideas!

I absolutely love the short format filled with nuggets.

Although the content is usually pretty good, half of the episode is ads. If you’re ok with listening to (or skipping through) ads for half each episode, this may not bother you as much.

Consider placing the ads at the top or bottom of the show. You break up the show which, for this listener, makes the program unlistenable. Unsubscribed.

I believe in free speech, so air what you want, but when you start promoting racism I’m out.

Used to love this show and hearing all about different side hustles. However, the host has gotten greedy and now plays ads for more than half the episode.

I wasn’t sure how I would like a short form podcast but Side Hustle School is super informative and fun to listen to. It’s a great to binge or for when you don’t have a lot of time to dedicate but want to feel inspired.

Inspiring and interesting reviews of side hustles with practical advise and fun puns

So my husband and I started listening about 2 years ago and have been hooked since! Our boys ages 10 & 5 also find this podcast interesting.... They’ve already had a couple side hustles including lemonade stands and making bracelets.... I am pretty sure Chris was a big reason behind this. ❤️

This podcast offers ideas and resources for anyone who is entertaining the thought of starting a side business. It's short, to the point, delivery is chocked full of relevant information and inpsiration. Many of the featured stories demonstrate that you can pursue a passion and make money at the same time.

I love the concise, helpful motivating content! Unfortunately the ads before and after the introduction are very long and repetitive. I only listen when I can skip past the first ad, intro, and second ad to get straight to the content.

Chris is amazing, his podcast is amazing, I am using the stories and tips like drinking vitamin water for my entrepreneurial side. Such a great amount of info, love the short format, love all the stories, love the big heart and batty humor, love the way you extract the take home messages for us, love your way of analyzing the listeners' questions, love the way you've developed and added to the structure over the years. This podcast is so well thought-out. Seriously, who needs to listen to folks yammering on for an hour? So easy to digest, I typically listen to several in a row as I drive. As for the ads that some people are complaining about, may I suggest you start listening from the very beginning when there weren't any ads, since the earlier shows from 2017 are still highly relevant and full of great content for newcomers to the podcast. Personally I feel that anyone who puts this much effort, skill, knowledge and heart into helping other peope fulfill their dreams and get more income streams going, deserves a big ol' pot of gold. :-) Thanks Chris. Someday I'll tell you what I'm working on. ;-)

This is absolutely my favorite podcast! I started out listening to several podcasts at the beginning of 2020, with most of them dropping off. This is one of two I kept. I like Chris’ style so much that I am listening to his books too. I have shared many episodes with others too. Keep up the good work!!

I used to enjoy this podcast until Chris got political and started telling us who not to vote for. thank you for sharing ideas, but when it comes to our own personal political beliefs, We can think for ourselves.

For the first couple of years this show was great, but now it’s more ads than information! I like Chris a lot, and I don’t begrudge anyone making money from their efforts, but when 2 minutes of a 7 minute show are ads, and another minute is spent on a redundant introduction, you start to wonder what the point really is. His books are still fantastic but his podcast has now become a major turn off.

This podcast is so inspiring - just what I need daily to keep my motivation up! This podcast is full of useful tips, and it keeps giving me “lightbulb in my head” ideas and inspirations! I’m so happy I found this podcast!

This is just peoples stories. and ads. There is no information on how these people achieved their goals. Just what the person does. Then another ad This is absolutely terrible. There is no advice, no actions for listeners to improve on. Blown away how many good reviews this has somehow got

The content is great, but there’s not much of it compared to how much ad time he has in each episode.

Side Hustle School is always the first podcast I listen. The stories are inspiring and really get your mind thinking about what you can do to bring yourself more financial security. Although I’ve been listening to Side Hustle School since the beginning and really liked the format, he’s changed it up this year (for the better too!). This year, 2020, is the Year of Interaction where one episode a week guides you toward creating your own side hustle. He’s also now including a Where Are They Now episode once a week where he gets an update from a side hustler he previously featured to see what has changed for them. I absolutely love this new format! You not only get manageable ‘assignments’ for creating your own side hustle but also get to see how other’s have evolved through time and you still get to hear about all the ways people have come up with to make money in addition to their day job. Love the new format Chris and keep up the awesome work!!

This podcast is a great way to start or end your day. Always brief, informative, and so inspirational! Chris breaks down concepts in ways that make sense to anyone listening. I can get something out of every episode and I’m so glad this podcast exists!

I don’t know Chris but he seems like a genuinely awesome person who just happens to be a genius for a side hustler and business in general. He is like a walking, talking “What They Don’t Teach You At Harvard Business School (for side hustlers)”. Some episodes have a lot of take aways depending on you side hustle. There is truly a take away from every episode. He is really good at being able to narrow down on the issue, humbly give his analysis, yet, remains very open to other possibilities. He very good at understanding how to “build the airplane as you fly”. The best lessons I learned in college professors were from the ones who owned their own businesses...Chris is definitely the definition of this professor. Check it out if you are ready or not for a side hustle. If you are not he will definitely give you good motivation to create one, and, in his approachable way, help provide some wings for your side hustle.

This podcast is the 1st one that I listen to. Love that the episodes are short and I usually get something out of each episode. If I can’t use the info shared, but think of someone who can, I will share that episode with them. Awesome ideas for those thinking of starting a side hustle. Highly recommend it!
