    Gentlemen prefer buttery staircases.
GODDAMMIT! This is my favorite podcast. Bar none. Y’all are amazing. But your understanding of American politics is PATHETICALLY BAD! It’s so much weirder than it looks from the outside; and the Right’s obsession with violence for violence’s sake has been the dominant ideology for 6O-65 years; the terms “liberal” and “conservative” do not mean here what those words mean in any other nation; anyone who tells you there is “a Left”, politically, in the US is either on Fentynel, or should be in an asylum. I could go on. But I won’t. Love you all, peace to you

No ideas over the dystopia British country. Political development excitement for two seasons of spring. Sunshine around the corner for future people!

We are as American as apple pie, Snapple, Apple and A.I. Why then do I cry? Have you even looked outside? Have you watched the news or read the papers or saw the signs? It’s all the executive level crimes, and the way the business takes your last dime. We got left behind while they built Optimus Prime:(

Oh no! The Imperial Center is where my stuff is!
As a citizen of the US, I thought I was safe from all of your irresponsible use of The Lathe and could laugh along with the rest of the “hogs“ at the silly bits about Daddy Empire’s mistakes. However, the Atlantic Ocean does not seem to have provided me any protection from prophecy and I am now forced to curse this pod’s prescience (legally speaking, these are metaphorical curses and not actionable witchcraft)

shirking the ethical obligations that come with having a large platform
palestine funds quietly slipped out of the episode descriptions to be replaced with self-promo. maybe put some of that patreon money into mutual aid instead of international vacations.

I’m in love with Riley probably
This show is incredible. Enough of the roundable of hosts are well researched and I like the constant energy that comes with having so many people on the mic, the best eps are the ones with all the lads.

Great show but what has Riley been listening to
Perfect show but needs more techno recommendations

    Great show
As a non British person, this is the funniest podcast I listen to.

    I’m Dead 😭😭
“Service to the Economy Guaranteed” is both one of the most hilarious things I’ve listened to in a long time while also being so focused and informative in its critique & reflections on the death rattle of neoliberalism as it morphs into its next molt. Absolutely stellar.

i live here now, listening to this pod
it’s bits, it’s supposed to be bits; don’t like it, there’s the door.

    It's The Free One
Serves as an antidote to the unhinged neo-liberal technological utopianism that has dominated the last few decades, skewering solutions that deliberately overlook deep seated social problems and shining a spotlight on the often-unbalanced self-appointed business moguls claiming they can solve everything. The crew maintains a good balance of insightful commentary and humor that keeps episodes from descending into a wall of despair.

    Warning: Free Time Sink Ahead
Amazing podcast, but If you subscribe to their patreon you will end up spending dozens, nay hundreds, of hours wallowing in some of the best political commentary and comedy available on the internet. …I don’t regret a single second of it.
  • strassie12
    Dreadful stuff
Unfunny UK weirdos, including a man in a hijab who makes fun of Muslims for a living, try desperately to emulate American leftist podcasts but fail because they’re not funny. Not worth a listen.

Seemingly some sort of SponCon vehicle for Dutch synthpop band
Shocking that the #1 Dutch synthpop vehicle in mid-80s Midlands radio has been reduced to this sort of release strategy. Come for THE FREE ONE, stay for the bonus

    A balm
Giggling cynicism, plain talking about our collapsing world, this is one of the few shows I genuinely find myself waiting for every episode to drop.

    Make the line go up
A lovely positive podcast about how everything is fine and we’re all going to be okay
  • BegoniasAndBedazzles
Would be good, if it wasn’t all on Patreon
I like the hosts. I like the subject. But recently almost every episode is hidden on Patreon, and while I definitely support creators and their need to have an income… this is too much. It’s too bad.

    TRASHFUTURE *trashes* The Future!!!
This show -- as Alice would put it -- *HITS*. The cast usually talks about a strange Silicon Valley app, device, or service which does not do its intended purpose, or if it does, it was something that already existed. This premise lends itself to instant comedy with a bevy of Very Online inside jokes, impressions of various political personalities, and silly anecdotes. Each person and guest in the pod brings their own humor and wit, ranging from Riley's plentiful shownotes, Hussein's pinpoint guesses, to Milo's dead-accurate caricatures. The camraderie from a range of personalities really makes the show something special, and the Future seem not as Trash. . .
  • Tek Jansen
What if a British Podcast was Swedish?
If hearing a bunch of Oxbridge types telling in-jokes and doing impressions while occasionally mentioning critiques of modern capitalism sounds up your alley, then this is your podcast.
  • guitardad99
    Good crew
I love listening to this. Just the right combo of lefty politics, social commentary and snark. The “what is this startup” segment at the beginning of most shows is positively hilarious. This crew brings some light to the darkest times. They have a great ability to make fun of the worst things. Gallows humor? Possibly. Entertaining? Definitely. It’s worth a listen. Might even make you think.
  • Hugo Sloth
    Love the whole cast
They are all so funny and genuinely likeable. Long time guests also are just fun and decent people. Its always a joy to tune in But I'm never going to stop singing Honkbal Hoofdklasse (on my radio tonight), truly the sound of the summer (start of ep 300)
  • JstNtime73
    Fantastic
Good mix of funny, outrage (love the odd rants). Not sure what the haters are trying to convey..lack of humor (imagination as well?) Information is pretty much spot on. Well done!
  • iiyngrdde
    ouch
dear god, this is unlistenable. 5 guys laughing over each other on and on and on. Might be good but needs editing.
  • Guest-6283439
    Just the right inside jokes
This show has just the right inside jokes and the right amount of them. If you don’t like it, I don’t know what to say other than “we are not friends anymore”.
  • Marlinir
    One host is pretty racist
It’s not cool to try and paint someone as a transphobe just because they have different opinions on Star Wars than you, Alice. Someone says he has a “transphobic aura” then you double down? That’s pathetic. And after that you go on to say you don’t know or even care if he’s actually transphobic, you just have an axe to grind over Star Wars. Grow up.
  • Michael from The Bunker
    Brilliant
Finally a show that rips our American leadership to shreds (In the proper font) with reckless abandon
  • one concerned listener
    Good
Great tips for Silicon Valley VCs who are looking for exciting new start-ups to invest. Plus, some stuff about Britain which I only half understand
  • ErikVogt
    Good podcast
I listened to several episodes and chuckled and agreed and was entertained.
  • inFANtree
Why won't you hunt down Stewart Lee and drag him onto the show?
I do not understand why none of the leftist podcasts have got Stewart Lee to come on...
  • Jduke101
    Love it.
Enjoy the mix of serious analysis of politics and political theory.
  • CristinaXIV
    Mediocre
    Sometimes funny, mostly mediocre.
  • Kidshark220
    I’m confused
Clearly trying to be funny wasn’t the way to go.
  • CleverRecords
    Not worth it
There are 20 minutes of self-indulgent crap for every 5 minutes of something interesting or funny. Not worth the slog.
  • dkoser
    Smash that mf like button
    Very educational.
  • Wiiiiiiirrrrrrrreeeddd
    Decent podcast.
    It’s alright.

    My Future is Trash
This podcast just did it for me. Funny, interesting, and I dig the mix between thick British and Canadian accents. Yeah, I can tell. Keep up the good work guys!
