    Vanessa is such a pleasure to listen to. I first learned about the Optimal Protein Podcast when Vanessa was a guest on JJ Virgin’s show. She is so cheerful and energetic as she talks about scientific research studies, many of which I have skimmed myself, but when Vanessa talks about their findings, you can’t help but get excited right along with her! Her enthusiasm is so uplifting, and even if I hear supporting information on other podcasts, I tend to remember everything more when Vanessa says it. I especially love her solo episodes. I learn something new every time I listen.

    I love Vanessa’s show., every episode! Continual development in research, her real life applications is so inspiring and informative. I love the protein and muscle focus of Optimal Protein. Side note, not that it affects the content - but the audio is always clear, easy to hear, no background noise makes it pleasant to listen to.

    Thank you Vanessa for bringing and sharing great information on mitochondrial autophagy with Dr.Singh, there is so much value in understanding the fundamental process of longevity in our bodies… and that starts with our understanding our mitochondria in our cells. The connection between our diet and ATP production is a topic that has been generally discussed but more or less brushed aside. This podcast had me thinking about how supplements like creatine possess similar benefits and properties in our muscle and in our brain. I’ll be looking for more research on Urilithin A and its latest benefits. Great podcast!

    I found you about 2 years ago and look forward to each new episode. Vanessa not only dives into protein, keto, insulin, and fasting but so many more topics. The most recent episode has me intrigued to try a small pre workout meal inclusive of Tone Protein. I have been using it in my Okios 25 gram yogurt with a little bit of cinnamon after workout but going to try switching it up based on your recent results. I would love to have more energy/strength. I love that you are genuinely passionate about your research and topics to bring better clarity on so many things. I love hearing about the boys and how they are growing and developing.     I have been listening Optimal Protein Podcast for a long time, back when it was under the name of Ketogenic Girl and let me tell you all, I’m hooked forever. I really appreciate the education that Vanessa went through because it brought another level to the podcast, her understanding of research papers and “translate” it to the listener in practical approaches makes me listen to every word she says, even to the ads!     Can’t take her seriously due to her other podcast
    Vanessa seems like a very well spoken and researched woman. But I can no longer take her seriously because of the work she produces with her co host of the intermittent fasting podcast. Her co host is mentally ill and has a severe eating disorder. She is anorexic and orthorexic. She eats only meat and cucumbers and she boasts about all of her disordered eating behaivors. It’s basically her teaching an audience on how to be a high functioning anorexic. She is obsessed with fat loss and remaining as underweight as possible. She is spreading Ed behaviors and she’s normalizing a serious illness as anorexia. She talks about how little her diet consists of and she markets it as Health. The fact that Vanessa continues to support her co host even within the realms of a serious eating disorder is very very concerning and off putting. Her co host continues to talk about weight loss, fat loss, restricting her diet, fasting, etc. the message they are putting out is extremely toxic, how can vanessa continue to do such a harmful podcast?? Her co host is SICK. And they should both take responsibility and be honest and truthful. Living in rabbit starvation is not normal, and watching cake food porn videos while eating fruit is textbook anorexic behavior. Wake up. Stop supporting such horrible messaging. Normalizing anorexia and orthorexia and pretending it’s not restriction is so toxic and it’s harming thousands of people.

    Vanessa has one of the only podcasts that I have listened to that is genuinely and purely knowledge and scientifically based in the field of nutrition. Her knowledge of the subject is clear and listening to her guests and her unbiased opinions is something I look forward to weekly. I learn so much from the topics covered. It’s like she has a sixth sense on what I need to hear. I discovered her while trying to figure out the best nutritional needs for my metabolism back when Keto became mainstream in 2015. Her ketogenic diet programs are incredible and I am so thankful that she backs what she gives to the keto community with this wonderful optimal protein podcast . Thank you Vanessa.

    Great guests but…
    I’ve listened to a few episodes now and she has had on some great guests, but it’s unbelievable how often she chuckles and laughs after every comment - comments that are not meant to be funny. I was just listening to the podcast with Dr Lyon. Majority of the conversation was on serious/important topics and the host kept laughing after everything that was being mentioned (?) It was tough getting through the episode, and the unwarranted laughter was very distracting. Dr. Lyon was very poised and very passionate on the subjects, but the host kept laughing after each comment for no reason at all.

    I started following Vanessa after I met her on the Intermittent Fasting podcast. I am in my car a lot driving, and I don’t even mine the drive any more because I am excited to listen to the Optimal Protein Podcast twice a week! I always learn something new, and I love the deep dives into all the science, especially the biochemistry! I am a science teacher and I can even use some of the info in my own classroom. ☺️ I have completely changed my diet now to be protein focused, and it is life-changing! I love that you focus on women, women over 40, how blood glucose is effected, and how to reduce inflammation. My A1C has gone from 11.5 at diagnosis to a 5.3 less than a year later following the keto lifestyle.

    Why Protein is Crucial!
    Love listening to the Optimal Protein Podcast: Protein Series. I learned how the Amino Acid LEUCINE is essential for muscle protein synthesis. I realized that I definitely wasn’t consuming enough protein. We all know how crucial it is as a women to put on muscle not only to prevent osteopenia but to also preserve our precious hormones, which are quickly fleeting as we age. Building muscles is like money in the bank and thanks to the Optimal Protein Podcast I am learning more than I ever have about the importance of protein intake and the science backed benefits it has on the body. I have started taking Tone protein and it is amazing taste’s great and the vanilla flavor is amazing and been very versatile to add to yogurt or smoothies. I started listening and following to Vanessa once she joined The Intermittent Fasting Podcast. She is a breath of fresh air! I love what she brings to listeners and is extremely knowledgeable and has opened my eyes to the importance of protein as a 55 year old woman while trying to stay healthy and practicing IF!!!     I recently returned to a modified keto diet after a break. This was one of my go to podcast for keto/protein information. After listening to a bunch of episodes lately, I feel the podcast has become too self serving. As a small business owner myself I can appreciate building out your brand but the endless promotion of her products seems overdone. I feel like the topics are geared towards selling her devices or supplements and the education info is a byproduct of this. There is definitely good info in there but having to hear constantly about her products is a turn off. I would recommend going back and listening to older shows though.
