As a husband to be, my girlfriend called me to take on a serious role months ago, and that is to lead our relationship biblically. Your book (Aaron), Husband After God, has done an amazing job preparing me for the day I officially become husband. It’s the one title in this world I feel many men should strive to earn AND work to keep up. You made an interesting point a couple episodes back that so many men focus on areas of their lives instead of in the home where it all begins. Additionally, these last couple episodes regarding p*** addiction have been extremely helpful. I am leading a men’s group to help others overcome their addictions and struggles. I appreciate you having guests come on to speak and share information on how to not only overcome, but more importantly for parents (I’m not a parent) to speak to their children regarding this horrible trend. As an educator, and someone who is involved with combating Human Trafficking, these folks and resources you’ve had on your podcast have been extremely helpful. I have loved the mixture of interviews, marriage talks and parenting talks. They hit different areas of my life in different ways and times that are often needed. I love how you always have a challenge for one to work on to change and be better for God, marriage and family. If you stop the podcast I will miss it! But I understand that there is a time and season for everything. Praying for wisdom, peace, direction and provision. Thank you for all that you have done.

I learned about them many years ago when my wife and I were struggling with some improper/immoral decisions that had been made. I found the daily emails of prayers and started that, then bought the books and now listen to the podcasts. I’m so blessed to have found this source of great wisdom and insight to the teachings of Jesus Christ. They offer such a great perspective. Praying form to keep doing Gods work.

I have been a listener for a few years. I started in a hard spot of our marriage and for a while it only was harder but this was such and encouragement in that time. I was able to get my husband to listen a few times and he also very much enjoyed them! I have bought books from them and have read the prayer book for wives over their husbands about 4 times. This podcast challenges me and gives me very tangible ways on how to love my husband well. They are also a great example of how a marriage should look and operate! I came from a broken home and saw a lot of dysfunction so I very much appreciate this wisdom and example of a godly marriage! I just love these guys! Keep up the good work! You mean a lot to us!

My husband and I have been married for about 1 year, and we have struggled with lots of fights and miscommunications. Aaron and Jennifer have been so helpful in bringing the focus back to God and away from blaming each other. We loved the episode on communication mistakes that couples make, and the episode about handling conflicts. I feel like the advice they share has helped our marriage a lot! They always point to scripture, which is nice because it is sometimes hard to know where to start when you’re in the middle of a challenging time with your spouse. It’s so nice to hear the perspective from a more seasoned couple on these things!

I wanted to share how powerful this episode was for me and how much truth you both spoke into this. I am eternally grateful for the tools you provided in the 56 minutes I listened to. I immediately went to your site and ordered a copy of your book in order to work with my wife over the year. Thank you for the courageous response to a major problem that plagues so many of us and there’s so much deception in what this truly is. You spoke such a profound insight and truth into this matter. I can’t thank you enough!

I first discovered Aaron and Jennifer Smith and Marriage After God about six years ago. I was going through something in marriage that I felt so alone in and didn’t think anyone else understood the physical and emotional pain it caused. Then I came across Jennifer’s book, Unveiled Wife, and it was such an encouragement to me because it not only showed me that someone else understands what I was going through, but it gave me hope for our circumstances, and was a reminder to me on how God is good through it all. I love when He uses people and books, or podcasts, as a tool of comfort and to meet you where you’re at and remind you you’re not alone. Since then I have read all of their books and thoroughly enjoy their podcasts. It is a great resource if you are truly desiring to have a Marriage after God. They not only give practical tips and resources, but their vulnerability to share not even not just the joys of marriage, but the challenges too, rooted in biblical teachings, is really encouraging and their intentionality and love for the Lord, each other, and for others shines through.

This podcast is such a blessing. We’ve learned so much from it. They are so genuine and their testimony has been a weapon against the darkness this world has casted upon marriages. Praying the Lord will continue to bless them and use them mightily.

This podcast has been great and I’ve loved listening to your stories and love the Biblical root in everything you teach on. Just hearing about the ups and downs of your marriage has been great for me to know that it’s ok to have these challenges and that God is faithful to help us grow through them. One quick thing to note if you read these reviews: the sound levels and editing could use some tweaking. Your voices are always really quiet so I turn them up and then the theme song at the end comes in and blasts my ear drums lol. Hopefully this helps! Keep up the good work :)

I bought 31 Prayers for Husband and Wife, & Husband and Wife After God Devotional. I basically bought the husband bundle and wife bundle. My husband is incarcerated and I often buy books for us to read together in hopes to connect us. These books have been a blessing in our marriage it did more than connect us. It has made us one. God as moved in our marriage and we are so grateful. I’ve recommended these books to my married friends. My husband and now reading Marriage After God and I have started listening to your Podcast. I have been listening to this podcast on my way to work for probably around 6-7 months now. I started from the beginning and I’ve missed several days of listening so I’m still in the 2019 episodes, but I am obsessed. My husband started listening to it as well on his commute after telling him about it and we both love it so much. We both really felt the pull from God to start immersing ourselves in the word and encouraging one another to be in the word and this podcast was a huge catalyst for both of us doing that. I’m not usually a podcast person, but I genuinely love how real and honest this one is. It’s so refreshing to hear so much truth and honesty. They’re real about the struggles marriage can bring, but they’re also very real about the blessings. It’s an amazing balance. I have learned so much already and I’m just so thankful that they followed God on this and started sharing their thoughts via podcast to the world. Anyone in any season should listen to this!!! Even engaged couples could benefit! My husband and I have been married for 2.5 years and we have a 1 year old daughter and the content is still so relatable. Just listen. It’s amazing.

I was so excited this morning when I found out you guys were still active! I found your YouTube channel a few years back and loved the content! I never saw any new videos come up and figured y'all had stepped away from any kind of content creation and was legit BUMMED. First time listener today and was very excited to learn about growing my marriage. The second episode I listened to (most recent one) spent several minutes talking about dieting and weight loss. As someone who has been deeply affected by that mentally, it is VERY triggering to hear. To each their own, but I wish there was something saying “trigger warning, we’re about to talk about weight loss” because as someone who has struggled with acceptance and loving them self this is hurtful content. Please think about how these words can affect others.

I just found this show by searching the tagline “family mission statement” and I listened to your episode on this topic from (I think) 2019. I Really loved your openness and your sincerity. I LOVED how you closed the episode with a prayer! I’ve never seen that before! I’m subscribed now, and wonder if you have any updated episodes showcasing how your family mission statement has changed over the years. If you haven’t, I would be really interested in hearing about it! When my boyfriend and I (Lord Willing!) get married, I think this would be a great family blending activity to do with my two children (middle school age). God Bless!

Hello! I recently came across your podcasts on Spotify and have loved listening to them. I come from a broken childhood family so I have been quite interested in learning how to be more of a Godly spouse and partner to my husband. I have been searching for valuable content through books, sermons, etc. This series of podcasts has truly blessed my soul. I am a strong believer in the Lord and am so glad to hear these truths every single time I get in the car to drive. I am always sad when I get to my destination and I find I didn't get to hear the whole message but then am excited to pick back where I left off when I go somewhere again. My husband and I are almost at two years of marriage. We have gone through some incredibly hard things over the past year and a half and have fallen away from God. I just typed into the podcast store recently how to pray for your husband and this podcast popped up. I started listening and couldn’t stop. I’ve already signed up for the prayer challenge, and have hope that God will touch my husband too.
