I’ve really enjoyed listening to the fall hunting stories series lately. I’d love to listen to lore episodes like that, even stories from previous hunting seasons. The Gunwerks guys must have some great ones. Also, I was just fiddling around with the rifle builder and noticed there is no longer a setup option for Hornady ammo, only for Gunwerks ammo with Berger bullets. When I got my 6.5 PRC in 2023, the only options were Hornady ELDM or ELDX. I’d love to hear an episode that discusses the shift away from Hornady ammo and to the custom ammo with Berger bullets.

These guys are ahead of everyone else in the long range game. Real world application that can benefit all shooters. Listen and learn about their products and why they are truly next level and not a sales gimmick. Always enjoy Long Range Pursuit Podcast.

I tend to stick to their advise on most shooting tips and tricks and have never been disappointed. Would love to own a gunwerks gun some day, my favorite is when Aaron gets on and talks, guys absolutely brilliant, the Elon Musk of long range rifles😂

Stumbled upon this podcast looking for long range info. I found it super interesting but I’ve come to the realization that the host, the CEO, should really be doing this by himself. When the CEO has engineers on, he’ll ask some questions but he is really looking for a very specific answer. And when they don’t answer the way he wants, he will just answer himself. Also he continually interrupts his guests with his own thoughts and ideas. I will try listening to it again but I’m hoping that the CEO doesn’t 100% hijack every single conversation away from his own ideas.

Overall I have enjoyed listening to this podcast. I’ve learned a thing or two about ballistics, shooting, reloading and hunting strategies. There’s a fair amount of plugging their own products which is to be expected since it’s a Gunwerks podcast but they keep balanced with other topics. I was very disappointed when they released the episode that was devoted to plugging their buddy’s outfitter business in WY. I know it’s their podcast and they can do what they want but all they did the whole episode was call attention to and hype up an already popular unit. I kept waiting for them to move on and discuss other units, but that never really happened. They even mentioned in the episode that it’s about a 12 point unit but thanks to coverage like this it’s sure to creep up even faster. At least when Steve Rinella committed a similar breach of hunting etiquette on his MeatEater podcast he had the decency to issue a public apology.

Enjoy your podcast, very useful information. I would like to get some insight on rifle profile trueing. Do you adjust the muzzle velocity or the bullet BC to true your hold?

Great podcast. Anyway we can more talk on calibers , reloading, Why custom guns are more accurate over productions. On a Custom why having a reamer made and used on a custom gun increases accuracy. Bullet jump, etc. Ethical shots and killing power of certain ammo/bullets/calibers. Big topic here. Not out of a book but what you have seen. Scope talk, scope mount talk, Good ones and bad ones. General talk. I’m personally interested in good and bad talk on equipment. Reloaded for 30 years and so over the powder crunch of COVID. Will it ever end. Cheers. Hopefully you will talk topics.

The podcast was decent when it started. But now it’s hosted by a random guy that is just not as interesting. There is zero enthusiasm. Its just boring. Also. Has anyone ever looked up the price of a Gunwerks rifle? They are insanely priced. Sorry guys. But I’ve unsubbed and will not recommend your products to anyone.

The amount of quality information that is passed along in these podcasts are gold, especially the ones with Phil and Caylin. I can’t find enough episodes with them chatting about shooting. Keep up the great work guys!

I Really like this podcast, I find it entertaining and informative. I like that they have some long range instructors weighing in on the podcast.

I really enjoy the podcast. I feel like it will tell stories but answer alphabet of questions all in one. Good group of people.

They talk about a hunting trip that ‘wasn’t successful’ b/c there wasn’t a kill. I have to disagree! Some of the best shows I’ve seen are from Randy Newberg and learning what went wrong and how to improve the next hunt. Those hours shouldn’t be ‘down the drain’. Show them! We are all human and don’t kill animals 100% of the time we go out.

I’ve hunted my whole life. Grew up in the Sierra Nevada mountains of CA. Thick timber most everywhere you went and deer hunting consisted of driving deer out. Most deer are moving while shooting. Still hunt there today as it has become more of a tradition. The lever action 30-30 open sights suited me well as a 12 year old, but then I graduated into a handed down browning .308 semi auto. Good gun for what we did! Went out to Colorado for mule deer and quickly realized how ill equipped I was in gear and skill set! Trying to get into a long range rifle and really intrigued by the science behind it. I’ve been looking around every corner for long range info. My dream gun is from Gunwerks. Unable to afford it at this time, I’ve had to make concessions. Although Gunwerks has a premium product at a premium price, with the best customer service and support to stand behind their product, it wouldn’t be money spent in vein. It just isn’t in the cards for me right now. The podcasts have helped me substantially in decision making from optics, calibers, options to build a gun to the training sessions. it’s all been educational and pivotal in making decisions! I can’t always remember every detail, but I can honestly say I pull out at least one valuable piece of info from every podcast! You guys truly are passionate about the shooter and the hunter. Can’t wait to get into a Gunwerks rifle and some Gunwerks long range shooting courses! Recommend any shooter/hunter to listen to these podcasts. read up on Gunwerks website and record every long rand pursuit episode! Thank you Aaron and the team at Gunwerks!!!

As most people reading this, I love learning about long range shooting and podcasts have really been growing in that area. One of the best things about gunwerks podcast is they have a wide variety of hosts from technical engineers to their instructors. Phil and Caylen are my favorite though. From hunting to reloading to competition they cover everything and make it make sense. I didn’t know what I didn’t know! Great podcast and a must listen to for long range enthusiasts.

Great listen. The podcast was very well structured and will be a go to as I continue to develop my skill set. I especially appreciate the clear definitions of what the fundamentals are in your minds. Often you hear stick to the basics but the basics are often different to every shooter. Nice work

Great podcast to get information on long range shooting and hunting. Really enjoy when Aaron is on and gets in-depth on the details of different topics, guess that’s the engineer in me. Also interesting to listen to Landon and Caylen discuss the ins and outs of preparation and practicing the art of shooting. Keep up the good work! I would like to hear more about what where and how you keep records of information at the range when shooting and information when reloading.

Really enjoying the last two podcasts with Phil and Kalan. I love that they hammer on fundamentals and not the latest greatest gadget you must own. Their background demands respect, and their humble easy going demeanor make it fun to listen to.

Fair and balanced content that’s objective, minimum pimping of Gunwerks products and turning this into an hour long commercial. Great job so far guys. I would really like to hear an in depth discussion of record keeping and data books; what’s important to capture during g a range session, and how can you use the data to sharpen your abilities.

Great information in every episode. Long range shooting has always been this mythical thing, the podcasts help break down everything into simpler terms and explaining what matters and what doesn’t. They don’t only promote Gunwerks or one specific brand, pushing to find quality anywhere, not just in their domain.

Living in the southeast we don’t have many shots over 500 yards (probably more like 200) but we do shoot at the range long distances. This is just great talk and info. Really looking forward to hearing the ballistic breakdowns in the future to help take away a lot of the BS that you guys mentioned. Thanks!
