Mr. RogerArmy ReserveGreat podcast, however, can you get some leadership from a Reservists perspective? Maybe some insight on Retention, recruitment of junior grade O’s, managing a civilian career and being a reserve/NG CO.

Back on the workout trainSexist podcastThe host continues to select male leaders to interview giving a one sided perspective to leadership. He is exacerbating the gap that already exists between the sexes in the military. His perspective is narrow minded and creates further division on our ranks. Very unfortunate that he is not using this vehicle to showcase the female leaders in the Army and providing mentorship to junior leaders.

JarohlWorthlessJust drones on endlessly with no real point. Also the sound quality is terrible

Hydra 6Great Content to Learn and ShareThoughtful and insightful topics on leadership. Appreciate the combination of civilian and military contributors to give broader perspective of leadership within a military context. I am sharing and using content in mentor/coaching sessions with leaders throughout the Brigade

SSgt AmmoExcellentI am an AF 2d Lt, coming up on 11 years TIS. Thank you for putting this podcast on. Even though I am not in the Army, so much of what you say applies to the entirety of my career, even when I was a wee A1C. I hope I have the opportunity to shake your hand one day.

gi nastyThank YouI am a 1LT who was thrust into a leadership position instantly upon return from A school. As a member with 13 years prior enlisted the expectation level was beyond other LTs, which is understandable. I felt like the mentorship I’ve been looking for was lacking. The leadership difference between officer and enlisted is different. Basic qualities are similar but there are some completely different qualities that become paramount. I find your podcast outstanding. I throw on my head set and go to the gym during he duty day and am constantly learning to become a better officer and better leader that my unit deserves. I can’t say thank you enough.

2LT INFMore more more!!This is a great podcast that is geared toward leadership in the military. For those who are in the military there aren’t unlimited options out there and this one tops the charts. I think all the listeners out there would certainly gain a lot from another season.

HeyItsThatGuy5Necessary PerspectiveThese podcasts are exactly what Army Leaders of all levels need. I am currently subscribed to the Military Leader and wish more of the current articles could be included into these podcasts. Regardless, the Military Leader provides a different and genuine approach to leader development that is detached from the typical LPDs and other methods seen within most units. All leaders should at least browse the website if not subscribe to the podcast.

A.R. Wilsher21st Century Professional DevelopmentGreat podcast- an hour of weekly professional development delivered direct to my playlist. As a sitting BC, I’ve yet to listen and not have a list of ideas to try, or areas to adjust. This is now recommended listening for my subordinate leaders. Thanks for this, Drew. It is powerful.

midwestfisterOnce a leader always a leaderAs a prior service 13F40 I use the leadership skills I gained and developed in the Army on a daily basis, inside and outside my home. I am now giving back through public as an alderman in my community. This podcast is a great refresher and motivation to continue to grow and refine as a leader even after service.

CrankItUp211Drew Gets ItThis is an amazing effort to deliver no BS leadership straight to those who need/want it. This is a passion and it shows by the types of guests slated for the podcast and the quality of the first episode. I would recommend to any individual interested in leadership whether they are in the military or not.

shade1020Inspiring, Relevant, to the Heart.Thank you for your first episode. It was inspiring to hear General Brown’s experience with leader development. His account of the Dec 2004 DFAC Bombing and CPT William “Bill” Jacobsen Jr. was especially touching for me. I was blessed to know Bill and his family growing up as we attended the same church and went to the same high school. After serving a 2 yr LDS mission in Southern Mexico I decided to join BYUs ROTC program. Bill had just graduated US ARMY Ranger school and I, knowing very little about the Army sought him out for advice as I would soon depart for cadet basic camp at Fort Knox, KY. Bill invited me to his parents home one Sunday evening and spent some of his time to give me advice, teach me the basics of drill and ceremony, and share with me some of his experiences. This small gesture made a lasting impact on me throughout my military career. Bill had a genuine love for those with whom he interacted and served. I believe that this is one of the things that made him a great leader. His Father LTC (Ret.) “Bill” Jacobsen Sr., is also a great leader who has influenced the lives of thousands, Bill Jr. undoubtedly learned many of his leadership abilities from his father’s example. The world needs more people like CPT Jacobsen, with the ability to genuinely care, connect and inspire those around them. Thank you General Brown for participating in this podcast, you have made a positive impression with your inspiring words on leadership and leader development. Examples like yours and CPT Jacobsen’s fuel my desire to be a part of the U.S. military family. I will share this resource with those with whom I serve.
