Fallacious Trump

26

Jim and Mark use the insane ramblings of a tiny-handed narcissist to explain logical fallacies. Each episode we focus on a single logical fallacy and, using examples from Trump, UK politics and pop culture, explore how and why it fools people, how to avoid committing it yourself, and how to counter it in an argument.

    Pod therapy
Have to think my brother Scott for recommending this podcast! We share a passion for it! it’s therapeutic to hear a like-minded source of content. Trump gives you the humor, but you bring it to life for us! I’m disgusted listening to his stupidity, but I’d still rather know the ugly truth then be a giant raging conservative bozo trumplican. The names listeners come up with for the Cheeto mad man is never ending ! I’m proud to support you! Love you guys😎

    Infotaining!
My favorite bit is Mark trying (and often succeeding) at using the fallacy of the week to defend his Fake News score.

    So entertaining
Saw you two at Skepticamp when I went to QED and thoroughly enjoyed your talk. I’m going through the backlog of episodes now and, while TFG’s voice makes me nauseated, this show is worth the drawback of having to listen to him spew nonsense.

    Trump was a provocateur
Trump was a provocateur sent to increase tribalism, demonized dissent and destroy domestic tranquility. His obnoxiousness was by design. The tell was when he was running and people were protesting corporate tycoons running for president- he said “ get him punch him in the face”- text book provocateur. He wasn’t fighting the elites, he was working for them, a reality tv star, a provocateur playing the role of a president.

Fake News is a hilarious segment
It’s truly difficult to guess which quote is fake, and hilarious to hear which quotes are real. And I’ve learned more about making logical arguments when having discussions with others.

Logical Reasoning has never been more entertaining
Love the True/False segment and when they take time to talk about the “Things We Don’t Have Time to Talk About.”

    Great Podcast
Sometimes you need distance to see things clearly. If Americans could see Trump the way these 2 Brits do, we would be a better country. A must subscribe!

Brit Podcasters Mitigates Trauma Caused by His Inability to Brain Good
Thank you so much for usiing our Pres, who is a bottomless well of ignorance and hubris to illustrate logical fallacies. Ii is horrifying for most Americans, the amount of people who DIDN'T vote for him, to watch him drag our country and the world itself down around our ears. And YOU are doing your bit to help alleviate the pain. I've already recommended your podcast to many friends! Don't stop!! [Love the game at the end.]
