Wellness scoop fanUS food from a fellow EuropeanWhen I moved to New York 10 years ago (from France) I started having health issues - from unexplained rashes to major digestive issues and later on fertility issues. It took me a while and A LOT of research to understand that I was surrounding by toxins (in the air, water, food, furniture, paint…) that I was never exposed to in Europe. Simply because regulations in Europe are protecting us from these harmful chemicals. Since then I have been going down the rabbit hole of living a “clean life” as much as I possibly can. I now have 2 children and am really struggling to find a balance. I love the wellness scoop because you bring in facts and debunking trends that are everywhere online. This is helping me slowly extract myself from the rabbit hole. But I don’t think everything that you say applies to the US, because besides the nutritional aspect of the food we eat, we are massively more exposed to chemicals and toxins. I won’t let my children have candy once in a while because the ingredients it contains are inherently so bad, much worse than the candy you would find in Europe. If I eat a bagel, I will have such bad digestive issues that it’s not even worth it. Anyway, I love what you are doing and it brings me a lot of calm but the US is a beast of its own.

Excellent Content!Love this PodcastI started following Ella in 2015 and was the first cookbook I purchased myself. So I was excited to listen to this podcast. Rhiannon and Ella help simplify health and nutrition. I look forward to the podcast weekly. I tend to be hard on myself in regards to health and food and have easily fallen into some social media trends. So having them just explain the basics and attacking some of these misconceptions in an easy conversational way is such a breathe of fresh air. Thank you and please keep this amazing content coming! And I was so excited to see deliciously Ella bars in the US bought immediately from my Whole Foods. Next Rhiannon we need those prenatal vitamins in the US!

I actually found the podcast years ago when I was going through severe hormone imbalance and Netflix was airing Down to Earth. I ended up working with a natural medicine Dr and underwent a diet change to vegan. Ella’s cookbooks and podcasts became my staple go to. Fast forward 5 years and extremely fortunate enough to work directly with a lifestyle coach and health and wellness have become my happy space. But even this year went through extreme anxiety from social media and all the misinformation out there. I recently completely removed social media from my life and this podcast is just a reminder of how no matter where we are life, we are so similar and struggle in similar ways. I am so thankful for both of you and all your efforts to keep this community going as it’s so important and has brought me a sense of peace that I’m not alone. Everyday I take a hot girl walk and turn on the podcast and remind myself every little bit helps. A round of applause for both you and so privlaged I get to thrive in this space and continue to learn and grow.

I feel like Ella and Rhi can intuitively read my mind because each week they discuss topics that are in the forefront of my mind. They shed more light on health and wellness than any other doctor, nutritionist, scientist, healer and wellness guru I have come across in my 44 years. I am a long time vegetarian who practices all things wellness from pilates and yoga to red light therapy and prayer. I’ve been following Ella since her first cookbook, but the two of you together are really hitting it out of the park. You answer all the questions I didn’t know I had! I have two grown daughters and also adore watching Ella’s girls grow up. The conversational format of the podcast and your perfectly complementary fields makes this what I need every Monday morning. I also love how careful you are to tell us you aren’t perfect. Being tired sometimes, being cranky, not always have time to exercise or eat a perfect meal- these are such real issues and it’s so good to be reminded that it’s ok. As long as it’s not always! Thank you so much!

Jennifer DeSimoneLong time listener!, can’t get enough!I first discovered Ella Mills in 2020 after seeing her on an episode of “Down to Earth” on Netflix. Her podcast was the catalyst for every positive life change that I have experienced since then and I cannot thank her enough! At the time I had two very little ones during the COVID shutdown and had no idea which way was up. Now my almost 9 and 10 year olds and I are living healthier and happier lives thanks to all of the sustainable lessons I learn here. My first huge breakthrough was the episode, “period power” with Maisie Hill and from there everything just became better and better. Lately I have been searching for answers on Enzymes, how they work what control we have over them and what (if any) real difference they can make in our health and absorption of different nutrients in our bodies or other bodily functions in general. I’ve learned so much and thank you for your continued wealth of knowledge that you share in a way that I can digest. *pun intended*. With gratitude, from Rhode Island, USA.

I like how it’s balanced and the hosts have opinions (but also don’t get shameful about you not agreeing with them). A fun blend of facts, stats, and personal anecdotes. It answers so SO many questions I have about the wellness industry. Plus the hosts have great speaking voices and that’s a big necessity for me with podcasts. Definitely recommend!!

I love their approach - our lives are hectic and wellness needs to be simple, practical, and backed by science. Information shared by the hosts is understandable and they have good chemistry. I think this podcast would be beneficial to a wide range of listeners from wellness devotees to people like me who are not that plugged into wellness communities but want information to help make healthy choices.

CatherineLenI’ll try again laterThis podcast has a lot of potential and I will tune back in around ep 3 or 4. Episode 1 was a hard and disjointed listen - Ella is consistently interrupted. She is unable to finish a sentence because she is interrupted with small comments like ‘yep…mmm…mmm hmm…sure…same…yeah…I know…’ I see a good dynamic between the hosts, and I think it’ll hopefully get better. Great insights by both and they have a lot of industry knowledge / experience. I loved the previous pod with her husband or other guests - it was five stars.

I loved hearing Ella’s very sensible measured voice on wellness and the interesting array of guests. Other shows that are similar in this scientific based approach seen to be dominated by men so I really loved this one. I’m sad I seemed to have discovered this as it’s ending? Please come back Ella!

ecrametteNot quite sure about the new formatI am not quite sure about the new format. To me, it looks quite less profound about the content and the info provided. To much anecdotal information and it just add to the bunch of disinformation out there. I think is better to invite someone who really is an expert. There is a lot of scientific evidence about the side effects and benefits about coffee for example… or about intermittent fasting. This is kind of disappointing. Not sure about getting the new book if is going to be like that.

This podcast helped me understand so much and has inspired me in ways I can’t articulate. Through the years, I’ve tried hard to know myself, give myself grace, move and eat in ways that feel good, and every time, DE is my inspiration and rock at the center - when I need something delicious to eat, a moment to meditate, or to move my body, the feel better app is the first place I go. Every podcast episode approaches a topic of wellness in a genuinely non-judgmental, curious way. DE, the app, the podcast are incredibly innovative and every iteration of what they do is even better than the last.
