I love the show and have been listening for years, but have to turn off when the weird 11 labs NLW comes on. The AI tech just isn’t there yet when it comes to the syllable spacing and it’s hard to follow, and the reason I like this show is because I like NLW’s reading voice. I wish he’d abandon it. But I get that with having a newborn he’s looking for efficiencies, but this one is counterproductive so I’d rather just read the articles which is a shame.

This guy is pragmatic, thoughtful and objective. He’s one of the better voices of the crypto space — must listen each week.

I would have given you 5 stars because I’ve listened to your podcasts for several years and value your insight. I did not know what your political affiliation was, and I liked it that way. But then you had to go and declare your political leanings like everyone else and that just ruined the podcast for me. It was so much better when you left that unsaid.

NLH is so good that I don’t even look for other content to put on when I start driving. His coverage, analysis, and insights are so consistently on point it’s amazing. 10/10 love this show.

NLW is an incredibly smart guy knowledgeable in macro and digital assets. His shows may not get into as much depth as others (like What Bitcoin Did or Bankless) but I find these better because I ALWAYS make time to spend 15 or so minutes on this podcast. I also watch the others but don’t always have an hour or two to spend listening to the very in-depth podcasts. NLW, hope to meet you someday at an industry conference like Bitcoin 2024 - Nashville or somewhere else. Thanks for imparting your vast knowledge on us to help educate us budding digital asset fans!!!

A really thoughtful smart show

Great way to stay informed on ongoing in Bitcoin but the show never discusses use cases. There are lots of smart people dedicated to develop viable use cases for Bitcoin, this type of education would accelerate acceptance and remove regulatory and political headwinds. Big fan of show.

Balanced approach to the asset class. He is a must listen.

NLW has traditionally been right on the money when it comes to addressing the hottest topics in crypto, but since he’s left Coindesk, he’s a bit inconsistent with daily releases. This wouldn’t be such a bad thing if he explained why he’s changed his scheduling, but his listener is left guessing. The inconsistent coffee machine is soon lain aside. C’mon NLW, get back in the saddle!

Reads other people’s “tweets/posts” WAY TO OFTEN … about 10-20% of his news or content is reading random people’s tweets regarding the story he is covering. Don’t get me wrong, I love the show, one of the best on the crypto world, but it’s annoying when he reads random tweets word for word.

NLW does a great job of blending macro market information with Bitcoin and other crypto related news events. He presents one of the best non-bias podcasts to these complicated topics and keeps the viewers wanting to learn more. I appreciate all of NLW’s hard work and dedication to his craft!

NLW has the right formula for a bitcoin / macro podcast. The episodes are the perfect length for those with short attention spans, the news and analyses are neutral and unbiased and the content boils it down to the most important points. I listen to this pod daily. Give him a listen!

NLW does such a great job diving in to the specifics to really give you everything you need to know about complex topics in a 10-20 minute episode. The interviews on these shows are also top notch and provide some really great resources for those of us that want to dive even deeper. I’ve listened to HUNDREDS of hours of Bitcoin/Crypto podcasts, and I continue to listen to this everyday. It’s simply one of the easiest ways to stay up to date on the space without spending hours and hours on Crypto Twitter daily.

The Breakdown has been one of my go to daily podcasts for years now. NLW and the breakers discord are amazing! I listen while driving to work, and I throughly enjoy NLW’s take and opinions about the topics on the show. I feel better informed about what’s going on in the bigger world around me.

Been listening to NLW for a few years now and this pod is an essential for daily macro/crypto bits. If you invest in btc /crypto in any form and you don’t have hours to stay up to date then this is the pod for you. Breakdown is a great name because now does a great job of synthesizing complex info into digestible pieces.

I loved bitcoin before but my understanding of its place in society has really taken shape thanks to the macro lens he views everything through. Not interested in the web3 ether crypto crap he touches on but hearing it only deepens my conviction that BTC IS THE SIGNAL and $eether will inevitably disappear into it’s massive shadow! NLW playin that epic reverse psychological 4d chess on me, I like it🤣 GREAT SHOW 6/5 stars

I have been listening to The Breakdown with NLW since early 2020 and have been impressed with Nathaniels’ distillations of macro topics/power shifts to their core esences. In 15-20 minutes I’m able to intake and digest the important macro news/events thanks to NLWs ability to not mince words and compress information during delivery, excellent topic selection, deep understanding of the content, and thoughtful unbiased commentary. The podcast covers a variety of topics due to the nature of power; ever shifting in its dynamics, especially in todays’ world. The topics include Central Banking, Crypto Finance, BitCoin, DeFi, Tech, Geopolitics and more, mainly from a US lens/perspective. There’s only so much content that can be fit into a day and there’s plenty of quality in the world but it’s difficult to beat The Breakdown in delivering compressed integratabtle bites in a 15 minute block. Thanks NLW - keep this going, we need honest/balanced perspectives in a rapidly shifting world.

Long time listener. NLW and his team do a great job distilling what is going on in the world on topics shaping our monetary system. The podcast digs into the narratives surrounding crypto adoption, government regulation, currency devaluation, and the resulting big power shifts. The recent collapse of FTX is heartbreaking on a number of levels. I really appreciate NLW taking the time to walk the listener through the sequence of events and sharing his personal thoughts and the resulting struggles. I’m sure this resonates with the listeners. Despite the deluge of FUD this year, NLW has kept things positive. The Breakdown is a bright spot in this space.

The Breakdown is my favorite podcast across all genres (politics, long form interviews, history, tech, crypto, etc), bar none. NLW’s ability to zoom from macro to micro is fantastic. His ability to lay out all sides of an argument, state where his own take lands, and modify all of that as new information comes in, is truly a gift that I appreciate. And his recent episode laying out the FTX debacle has me trust his impartiality even more.

Although you were sponsored by FTX, I believe you were lied and defrauded by them. I will continue to listen to this podcast because it provides intelligent and easy to understand topics on crypto. Blockchain technology is still new and the path to understand how it’ll influence our lives has just began. I hope this podcast continues expressing its views and observations because this type of dialog will help make the crypto space better.

This show used to care about truth, and BTC fundamentals, but it appears to have been led astray, maybe by its shady cohorts and sponsors. I was turned off ever since NLW started spouting off hopes of Nft, defi, and dao projects ever actually mattering in macro terms. In my opinion he Should of stuck with macro events, and bitcoin fundamentals, like Hardmoney, decentralization, and freedom. Now The shows reputation is stained, I hope they can come back to their roots, and maybe we will listen to this show again, because for awhile it was positive, knowledgeable, succinct, and enjoyable...before they obviously lost touch, and got in bed with FTX

I love this podcast for three easy reasons: 1) it’s short and concise. The most important ideas out without the fluff. 2) it’s daily. This space happens so quick, if it’s not daily something is missed. 3) macro view. Too many podcasts get lost in the rabbit hole without seeing the big picture. NLW does a great job bringing that back in. I also like that it’s not a parade of paid speakers shilling their coin or product. Most of my old favorite podcasts stated doing that, now it’s so hard to find there good content. Well done NLW

I’ve been a regular listener to this podcast since early 2021. I find the content to be so relevant, and Nathaniel’s perspective to be balanced, intelligent, insightful and delivered in a manner that is so refreshing in a world / space where too often people just seem to be shouting at one another. I’m so appreciative to have this source of news on macro economics, and bitcoin. Thanks so much for what you do, I’m a really big fan.

I stumbled on this gem Q1 of 2021 in the infancy of my investing. He has consistently provided a perspective based on data. Helped me to hone my ability to make sound choices when investing in crypto. I don’t often leave reviews but I feel like NLW deserves the social currency. Best wishes!

I don’t know how Nathaniel (NLW) finds his guests or conducts the in-depth research behind his insightful questions. On a daily basis he shows other “professional” podcasts, e.g., Motley Fool’s MarketFoolery & Money, to be self-serving, bucket shop peddlers.

His topical narratives are the perfect blend of aggregation and detail when necessary. He delineates each topic, explains and subsequently accentuates the most salient points.
