⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The Unspoken Truth About ’Mom Rage’
I want to share this episode with EVERYONE I know! I go through seasons of mom rage especially when I feel overwhelmed and lacking in time and selfcare and I have always felt like there is something truly wrong with me and horrible about what I’m demonstrating to my kids. This podcast helped to understand all the factors that contribute to it and made me feel less alone and ashamed. Do I want to put an end my ‘mom rage’ that my loved ones take the brunt of? Absolutely! But it keeps cropping up. Now I have a great reminder and some tips to help work on it as well. Sharing with my husband and all my friends. Thank you, thank you. Perfect timing for me and so helpful. Purchasing Book as well.

    Just What I Needed
This has become my new favorite drive to work podcast. So many just real and helpful episodes and interviews that connect with me on so many different levels. I send episodes to my friends all the time knowing it will help them too!

    Bayer? Really?
What a sterile conversation about birth control with Dr. Wahdan, really disappointed that a drug company like Bayer would be a centerpiece of the discussion on birth control. Bayer produces products that suppress the natural female hormonal cycle- flattening the monthly hormonal cycle and leading to an array of health issues for many women. And, Bayer made Essure a permanent nickel based implant that hurt countless women until pulled by the FDA, they recently lost a major lawsuit over horrendous damages caused to women. Why does Bayer get a platform on Motherly? Crazy! Definitely makes me wonder if this Podcast is still for me.

Motherly with Dr Eger and Dr Engel
Dr Eger is my hero and her book changed my life and how I look at the world. She inspired me to change my outlook every morning from negative to a positive thought. It made such a difference. I joined an online grief group and more healing occurred. I am happy for her life and that she shared it so freely. God bless her whole family. I believe she was saved to help others learn to deal with trauma. I gave everyone a copy of The Choice and asked that they read it. You are the most beautiful soul that lives ❤️

I can’t speak highly enough of this podcast—for new moms to seasoned moms and everything in between, it is my go-to podcast on motherhood and parenting. There’s something for everyone to takeaway and something about Liz Tenety’s approach that is always relatable and comforting. I recommend it to all my mom friends in the thick of it!

A great listen for mamas everywhere :)
I started listening to The Motherly podcast when I fell pregnant in January 2021 and have listened weekly if not daily every since. I love the diverse topics that are covered and feel that I always learn something new each episode. As a new mama, a vet or recently found yourself newly pregnant— tune in, you won’t regret it!

    My favorite parenting podcast
I have been following the Motherly podcast for years. I love the guests they have on the podcast and I’ve learned so much about being a better mom by listening. Their most recent podcast hosted by Joyce Brewer is particularly good and full of great guests.

    thank you!
Thank you Liz and the motherly team! I’m a mom of a 2 year old girl and a physician. Becoming a mom has been the most amazing thing ever, even when it has been rocky and felt lonely at times… Your podcast is absolutely inspiring and empowering. Thank you for sharing the knowledge and experience of so many wonderful women in such a candid way.

    Absolute favorite
I am a mom to an almost 3 year old girl and have another little girl on the way. I have been listening to this podcasts for almost three years now and never miss an episode. Liz - you and all your amazing guests have kept me company through so many nights of kitchen explosions and heaps of laundry. But more than that you are constantly inspiring me to grow and learn. I relate to you so much. You have no idea what a gift your words and your guests are to me. New motherhood, especially having moved to a new city and in a pandemic, has been incredibly lonely at times and your show has helped to carry some of that weight for me. Not to mention added a ton of books to my reading list, great products for my family and tools/resources that help get us through the day to day. Thank you for always being honest yet uplifting in these crazy times. If you are a mother and listen to one show let this one be it!

There is so much helpful information for moms and it’s delivered in such a gentle and nonjudgmental way. I am a mother of 2 and motherhood is not always easy and I really enjoy hearing stories, advice, encouragement from so many other moms out there. I have recommended this podcast to all my friends! Thank you so much for creating such a great podcast and resource for moms. I’m so happy I have found this podcast it is the perfect start to my day. Such an important conversation! Thanks for giving Elle the space to share her experience and discuss how to create a more inclusive world by teaching and talking with our kids about race, gender, identify, etc. I liked Motherly to begin with but they’ve definitely stepped it up lately!

    Maybe get non elite guest
This show is great at times, but I can’t stand that you only bring on famous, rich people!! If this is a podcast about mothering maybe try getting other perspectives, we aren’t all rich and famous! 🙄 Edited to add - you have a live in nanny. You cannot understand our mothering journey. And I’m done with this podcast !

The podcast I need during this season of my life
I searched high and low for this type of podcast. There were plenty about women. Lots about women pivoting careers. But none that I could find that goes into the specifics of HOW. How are moms juggling everything? Do they have a nanny or family helping? Are they going on 3hrs of sleep to make things happen? I wanted specifics on how moms were making it work and really appreciate the insights that this gives As others have mentioned, it’s fascinating and equalizing to hear from high achieving even celebrity status moms (and hear they share the same struggles as the average mom does). But maybe if some “average everyday” moms could be occasionally interviewed too. The ones that’s not a CFO or entrepreneur, but still hustling to establish a career while also raising young children.

    The BEST podcast for Mamas
I starting listening to Liz and her guests on my 2nd maternity leave just a month ago. I have learned something from or have been inspired by each episode I have listened to. I’m almost done listening to all of them. It has been so helpful to hear different parenting techniques and that I am not alone with some of the challenges I face. It’s really helping me be the best working mom I can be. I would recommend this to all moms and wish I had this 3 years ago when I became a mom. It’s equal parts informative, fun, and funny. I can’t say enough great things.
  • Renuka87
    For moms by moms
This podcast is equal parts inspiring and validating. Listening to other mamas talk about their successes and failures genuinely is so relatable. Also, the guests who come on have really interesting and often important work that they are engaged in to lift up moms, women, and children. I know I’ve gone on to learn more about certain guests after hearing them here. Liz has done a really fantastic job of finding people who offer diverse perspectives on this universal journey of motherhood. It’s a must listen.

First episode, and I’m sucked in!
Today was the first time I listened to this podcast, and I absolutely am hooked! My first episode was the sibling rivalry that came out Dec 2020, and it hit home. I have an 11 and 9 year old, and everything mentioned is something I can try! Can’t wait to try the method of having them talk to each other about how they feel! Thank you SO much!

My Favorite Podcast as a New Mama
Thank you, Liz, for not only dissecting so many of the challenges modern mothers face, but also for tackling the tough questions we must discuss as a society! I look forward to this podcast every week and have learned so much from listening to these incredible women’s stories. Through your diverse guest list and weekly themes, I am grateful to be able to gain perspective as a new mom from women on such varied paths and who have so much real, raw wisdom to share. This podcast is gold. I applaud you!
  • Moe7495
    Well done!
There are A LOT of parenting podcasts out there, but this one is definitely my favorite. The interviewer keeps the conversation moving, asks insightful questions that don’t feel scripted while also not feeling ramblie, and the shows are a very digestible length. Thank you for putting this together for us!!!

    The Motherly Podcast
This podcast felt like someone was listening to my thoughts, feeling my struggles and lifting me up, all at the same time. I’ve listened to two podcasts and have learned so much. Thank you for the work that you do and the support you give. My only suggestion would be to list the products and books that you mention in the podcast in the episode notes.
  • kimmylawyer83
    Off Topic
I have been a listener to The Motherly Podcast for just over a year and as a new mom I have enjoyed the content and learned a lot until the most recent episode. Expecting to have the question of “how to reverse mom burn-out” answered, it was a thinly veiled feminist attack on conventional mother roles, using vague generalizations and non-specific examples from a woman who is neither a mother nor a certified therapist. In fact, as a mother, I was offended by the idea of being a mother in today’s society could be compared to martyrdom. If the purpose of this podcast is to validate mothers and their role in a family this last guest really missed the mark.

    Nap Time Podcast
You’ve got to listen to the Peleton Jenn Sherman interview - it’s AMAZING!!!! I love listening to this podcast in the car. Liz’s voice is so soft, my kids zonk in the back seat while I sit back, drive relaxed and take in all of the lovely tidbits of advice and encouragement Liz and her guests offer. This is a legitimate, serious podcast and your time won’t be wasted listening to stupid ads, and nonsense. Love motherly!

    Love this podcast
So many episodes of this end with me choking back tears. I love hearing others talk about Motherhood and what it means to them, and Liz asks such great questions. Keep talking about hard things! The Kristen Bell episode prompted me to write this...it was so meaningful. Also - PLEASE interview Amy Schumer! 🙌❤️ Also I’d love to hear Nicole Smith from The Bird’s Papaya :))
  • Kateluv30
    Unsubscribed
I used to find this podcast useful and relatable. Unfortunately as is so common in our world today, the podcast content has skewed toward tackling political issues which leave many mothers like myself feeling alienated. I find this particularly disheartening as listening to podcasts is something I like to do in order to find a place outside all the other dissonance of the world we are living in right now. Some of the recent episodes have been partisan and have fanned the flames of social division, as well as being one sided and over-simplified. I actually have felt embarrassed that I’ve recommended this podcast in the past to other moms. I have stuck it out episode after episode hoping for some more balanced and relevant content on actual mothering but finally gave up and unsubscribed. If you aren’t part of the liberal elite this isn’t your podcast. There are other podcasts out there who don’t feel the need to mix politics and parenting and who are far more in touch with reality.
