Thanks for producing this great content. You don’t get much of this substantive material, especially about China topics

    Less Interruptions Please
Hey Steve. You’re ridiculously smart. We already know that. I admire you like very few other people in this world. We don’t listen just for your thoughts though. You already hold incredible sway in being the interviewer. Please interrupt your guests less. They are the experts; you are the host. At your best you challenge and bring out the best in your guests. At your worst you are domineering and arrogant — unwilling to entertain perspectives other than your own, and assuming that your next point has already anticipated everything your guest has to say. I will keep listening regardless, as you are nonetheless one of the most rigorous and high quality sources of information around, but this was getting on my nerves, and I’d wager most of your listeners would agree. Keep up the good work! —Clay

    Great Content, Poor Hosting
I would give this 5 stars if it weren’t for Corey constantly cutting off his guests in mid-sentence. My favorite podcast was the Psychometrics podcast, and it was almost unbearable to hear Corey constantly interrupt and prevent the guests he invited in the first place from finishing their sentences. I know one of them personally, and afterwards he told me he almost quit mid-interview he was so frustrated

    Wonderful podcast
Absolutely delightful podcast led by two bright and incisive minds.

    Intelligent, practical, and well organized
Steve and Corey composed one of the most enlightening and intellectually satisfying podcasts I have come across. They: - don’t engage in woo-woo - call out dubious fact and erroneous reasoning - pick diverse and interesting topics - teach you something new - show up well researched on the topic at hand - pick intriguing guests - pose great questions for the guest - speak clearly and concisely (little to none verbosity) If this podcast has a weakness, it’s that by the time they’re done you’re hungry for more.

    Like Radio Lab but better
This is like Radio Lab and TED Radio Hour but with more depth and nuance. Steve and Corey make a great partnership.

Smart Views Explain and Taken Seriously
So many podcasts just regurgitate the standard views you'll see in any newspaper or magazine or just give you some narrow technical content. This podcast smartly addresses serious research but it also (along with rationally speaking) is the only podcast I've ever heard which really pushes for the philosophical/social/etc.. arguments to hold up and explains their views.

These 2 brilliant guys can clearly break down complex, fascinating topics. So glad they started this. And they get right to their topics.
