Drift7475Awful PodcastFirst off, unoriginal and boring name; that’s really all you could come up with? But also, they’re boring and there’s nothing fun, exciting, or interesting about this podcast. It’s just another two people who wanna make a podcast because they THINK they’re funny and interesting.

hannahsusernameBinge ListenNot everyone has to have seen every single movie that is a staple of pop culture. That’s where Alex and Bec come in. They review the movies that people lose their minds when you tell them you haven’t seen. It’s the best. Maybe those movies are 10 years older than you, maybe they’re just crap. You don’t have to watch them! Just listen to these two amazing comedians instead, have a much more positive experience, and feel justified in not having watched a movie you never wanted to see. Ladies, please review Spirited Away, for which I’ve been Dude Cinemaed by all genders. I tried, got to the appearance of the pig parents, and was so grossed out I shut it off. I would be much obliged if you explained why it’s so great. Love you both! A kumite to you.

DeeDee_ZeeLove the opinions. But leaving a rec.Ghost in the Shell, the anime. It does have Blade Runner vibes but I’m wondering how y’all would view the sci-fi through a female protagonist and I am female and think the opening sequence is absolutely amazing.

carolynbearolynYay for fighting herpes stigma!I’m someone who loves to finish a movie and then IMMEDIATELY look up what other people say about it. I’m also, deep down in my heart, a hater—especially with stuff that crusty dusty men are obsessed with. So this podcast is absolutely perfect for me! But it was this week’s episode that cemented me as a listener. Bec’s candidness about dealing with herpes was so incredibly refreshing. I struggle with the same thing and it can be really hard sometimes. Hearing someone honestly talk about the stress, discomfort, and just plain annoyance of an outbreak—without treating it like something to feel ashamed of—really meant to a lot. :) I’m glad I found y’all!

Ray Hans JThe Best Movie Podcast EverWith no hyperbole, I can easily say without a doubt this is the best movie review podcast. Allow me to explain. As a man watching dude movies since the 80s because of my dad, I’ve always had a certain pov about them from a father & son perspective. But I’ve always wanted a female commentary and pov for some of my favorites of all time, including those guilty pleasure movies. These ladies are not only giving you the female perspective, they give you truly unbiased critique, heart, horny culture and tons of laughs. I seriously lol at work with every episode so far ever since I found them 2 days ago. How I found them. I was looking for a new podcast to add to my library to get a little change up in the lineup. The 2 I listen to the most are The John Campea Show and Mad About Movies, which both revolve around movies and I wanted a 3rd pov, so I’m searched for Top Gun Maverick reviews and after scrolling past several high profile podcast, I saw Bec and Alex J’s thumbnail and gave it a listen. Bec and Alex, you had me in the first 5 mins. I laughed so hard while driving a forklift at work, that I literally had to shut it down to keep from dropping the pallet. You also had me blushing as if you were talking about me as you oogled over the cast members… and their members. I’ve gone back through the catalog and listened to LOTR, The Batman, Drive, The Fast and The Furious and a few others. Each episode and special guest is such a welcomed delight. A special shout out to Alexei T., I so agree on with you on your DRIVE review and pov. That movie a gem and I was happy to hear Bec come around and give it the high marks she did. I’ll be a fan to the end and I’ll sign up for the Patreon as well.

UWFrepLove these ladies!!!Just caught up after binging for a few months and have loved every minute! Do y’all think you’ll do more horror in October by chance? My boyfriend, a huge horror fan, had me watch the Netflix original Fear Street 1994 on our first date and we watched the subsequent movies on the following dates. It’s a good thing he’s got a great personality! Maybe I’ll eventually get him to listen to some eps with me! Thanks for broadening my movie horizons and being awesome hilarious people!

M NoyesIt can happen to you!Such a fun podcast! And, as a dude, I have also been dude Cinema’d myself! My freshmen year of college my roommate watched a movie every night when he went to sleep. Either Clerks or Caddyshack. I could not sleep with a movie on so I wound up watching both films MANY times! Would love to hear the ladies thoughts on either of these films.

EmilyBeth27Awesome Podcast + Obligatory Father’s Day Dude CinemaHave loved this podcast since the beginning. I have no idea how I found y’all so early, but I’m glad I did. Delightful hosts with good humor about the worst dude cinema and able to enjoy actually good movies men shove down our throats. Sometimes it works, I guess. Tonight is American Father’s Day, so I agreed to watch a movie my partner of 20 years and father of my daughter has wanted to watch for 18 years, but he never got around to it. Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. I’m 20 minutes in, and only the delightful Father’s Day feast I prepared is getting me through. Please add this to your list. I need ladies around the world to commiserate with me about having to watch this movie. And also, 2003 was a terrible time for women. I forgot how bad it was. Please make me laugh and remind me we are past this!

EmilyPolipsyExcellent PodcastIt’s like hanging out with my friends! As requested, my dude movie: The Watch (2012) I went to see this movie, in theaters, on a date and I was dreading it. I only agreed to it ‘cause my date compromised by taking me to my favorite restaurant first. Ladies... I’m embarrassed to say I loved this movie. Of course, I wasn’t gonna give my date the satisfaction of knowing I enjoyed myself, so I got in some intense straight-face-keeping practice and at the end of the night I thanked him for taking me to the restaurant and told him the movie wasn’t as bad as I expected. Then, the next day, I went to go see it again by myself and finally got to release all my pent-up laughter. I haven’t seen this movie since then, and I’d love to hear from you if it’s aged well or if I’m problematic (by proxy) for enjoying it. 😁

monstersocietyLove this fresh take on Dude Movies!!Have listened since almost the start, because Bec and Alex are just the best. Funny, charming, and relatable! I grew up with most of these movies and have heard plenty of dude opinions, but this is like seeing them again for the first time. Now if only they would review PURPLE RAIN...

marilee g.One of the Best Movie PodcastsHow does this show not have more reviews? It’s so much fun, and the two hosts are likable and hilarious from the jump. You can tell they’re actually good friends IRL, so there’s a warm + comfy vibe. I *really* appreciate how, if they actually like a movie, they don’t hesitate to admit it and gush about it. This isn’t a rare occurrence, either — tho it’s equally fun/interesting when they hate something — their current-day insights on older movies often shed new light on problematic scenes. The hosts also do a good job of running through specific plot points or moments from each movie, so you can follow along even if you haven’t seen it. Thanks for the laughs!

Mystery SantanaActually 6 StarsGreat listen from episode one and on. The two hosts have great chemistry together and are insanely hilarious. This became my favorite podcast after one episode. I love it!

crannifWow! What a great podcast! This is one of the most entertaining podcasts I’ve stumbled across in the past year (right up there with “Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend”!) If you’ve ever listened to other movie review podcasts and suffered through hours of dudes arguing over minute plot details, this podcast the antidote to that: smart and entertaining discussion (and lots of laughter) about “dude” movies from a female perspective that is quite refreshing to hear. These ladies deliver this all in their Aussie accents, but sometimes switch to a Sylvester Stallone “Rocky” accent from Philadelphia (particularly entertaining for us in the US to hear!) At the end of any one of these podcasts you’ll find yourself quietly saying, “Wow! What a great podcast!”

LuckylizzCannot recommend highly enough! If you’re a woman who exists in the world then I have no doubt you’ve been shamed by men for disinterest in movies they consider masterpieces. With this podcast you can at least pretend you’ve seen them and tell the men they’re wrong! I look forward to this podcast every week, and have recommended it to so many of my friends! Bec and Alex do such a great job of describing these movies and making it funny! I love that they give me a real idea of what the movie is about and reasons to watch or not watch it.
-
green2353great podcastLove the show, and this one in particular was just fantastic! I’ve never heard a better description of Steve Buscemi lol. Excellent review and commentary of a great movie.

TFogardOMGIt is too true & too funny. When I think of the amount of movies I have sat through, because “I can not believe you haven’t seen this” or “you must watch this” and then watching said film and not loving it.... it is ridiculous. These ladies are great & funny & get it. Try this podcast it’s great! Dude movie I have been told to watch, but do not get the appeal : High Fidelity.
-
BlackDistractionGreat podcast!I’m really enjoying the podcast! These two are hilarious and their takes on the movies they review are refreshing and fun. The two movies i’ve been told to watch most are probably Blade Runner and Fight Club! I’d love to hear you review either or both of those if they aren’t on the list yet
-
shelbselHilarious and SO TRUEHonestly I haven’t seen most of the movies they’ve mentioned or the ones they’ve done so far, and obviously for good reason 😂 I love the commentary so much! These ladies are hilarious and aren’t afraid to say what we’re all thinking about these cheesy manly man movies.

sussfooFunny women. Hot accentsTwo funny women with hot Aussie accents watching guy movies so we don’t have to. I actually love Raiders, so I didn’t agree with all their tales in the first ep, but I thought they were hilarious and definitely pointed out some problematic plot points I didn’t see when I was 15.
