Christy A. ReporterPut me on a pathFinally. It is difficult when you have dead loved ones to be atheistic. To be kind to myself, I allowed “well, maybe. Go ahead and see what you find.” I found this podcast. It cracked open a door for me and I’m quite sure what it opens to is a lot more questions. But also, a slight relief from my nihilistic dread.

LindaYogaGirlReallywanted to like this, but it’s just not for me. Five stars for your work on the EOC online event and on other pods discussing freedom and government—that I can sink my teeth into. This topic is not for me, but fascinating that a finance guy ended up studying this stuff. Would love to hear a series about your current book topics. Thanks.

hebadWhere we come fromFrom a neurological science perspective this path to overcome disbelief in “brain/biological” consciousness control makes sense, but I found this data to fit my Christian worldview quite closely. Most of these things make sense with a single God, a network of strongly interconnected spirits, and even the life assessment—and the literal commandment to “love thy neighbor as thyself”. Most of us already believe in a spiritual life experienced on Earth. I like the idea of learning to better utilize the spirit to work through the blindfold of the mind—and in the end of this series, that is what I heard. Well researched and cleverly presented. Last, from a thermodynamic law perspective, evolution isn’t a possible theory unless something is adding energy to this universe. The idea of God and spiritual energy also fills this gap. Walking away, there is a lot more to consider here.

Bob J2ExcellentVery well done look at the issue of our understanding of consciousness.

silent rizzFor NPCs, by NPCsThe incredibly dumbed down format stumbles into NPChood especially with the ‘straight man skeptic ‘ Schtick.

MarkinIllinoisGreat Stuff!I caught Mark speaking on another excellent podcast, 'Grimerica' and enjoyed their conversation. I have my own podcast, too (Cuckoo Town) where I often discuss the nature of creativity, muse on the origins of inspiration, and talk about talented creatives of the past who thought outside the box, with interesting guests, so I'm in-tune with Mark's thoughts on this 'hard problem'. I was also impressed that he could see through the current worldwide gov/medical fascism that so many other so called 'intelligent' people have been hoodwinked by mainstream media into supporting. Well done, Mark!

Texaspie23Human EvolutionWonderful content. Encouraging to see each generation raise in conscious awareness. This is how we evolve as a human species. There IS hope for humanity.

jaywilkinsonCompelling albeit cornyThe compelling stories made the sometimes awkward scripted banter worth listening to.

p0ppryprContent vs DeliveryBeing an out of body survivor I love the content, but I wish the delivery weren't so bland & scripted. That said I'll continue to follow if only for further content
-
A'lors!!!!!As the greedy beneficiary of your curiosity I am up here in 2021 saying, “Yes and more please!” What a well-executed introductory guide to understanding consciousness and oneness. Science is catching up to spirituality.
-
footslugInteresting but is more like propaganda than scienceLove the topics discussed in this podcast. Would like to see more time spent on citing and evaluating the evidence instead of evangelizing Gober’s perspective and haranguing dissenters as close minded

MadpodgeFASCINATING podcastIf you are someone who believes there is ‘more’ to life, more to who you are, more to human connection and the universe and spirituality, this podcast is for you. Engaging, WELL-RESEARCHED, and well done. (If you want more in depth studies and analysis I encourage you to get Mark’s book: An End to Upside Down Thinking’- only so much can be covered in a podcast episode.) A must listen for ALL of humanity! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
-
DaddyGleemAwakeningThis has clarified so much of how I feel towards consciousness and our true selves. Thank you for creating this amazing podcast. I will pass this along to many others in hopes of them to understand the truth and power that we hold within. I look forward to buying your book and hearing more from you.
-
ZerktonSEND THIS CAST TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW💗Even if they are not “ready” to hear about this. It’s time now to climb out of the dark ages of consciousness and into the vastness of reality. Thank you 🙏 so much for you and your teams hard work on these important topics of our time. If we are getting out of this mess we thought ourselves into, we are going to have to beyond our current paradigm of perception. Zerkton.

Ofor2naThis I believe, this is what I can live my life on.I have been searching after having many clues in my own life, questions, and did my own research, arriving and having beliefs and understanding as you have brought to light for all to learn. Thank you!

bhh54Great podcast very informativeYou guys did a great job creating this podcast with all the interviews. I hope you keep it up!

Jesse WestConvincing!Convincing! I sent this to my skeptical brother. I like that you hear the information directly from scientists. I’m already a firm believer that our mind/ soul survives death but still really enjoyed the arguments. As for my brother... I don’t know if he actually checked it out. A skeptic is going to be a skeptic no matter how convincing the information is presented but this was my best shot! Well done!

HornwalkerPseudo-science and anti-scienceUnfortunately, the show makes claims and says that they are backed up by evidence. Specifically the claim is that the brain “receives” consciousness like a radio(they use a whirlpool metaphor throughout, all brains are whirlpools Connected to a bigger stream). The hosts then will tout that there is evidence for this but really fails to deliver. Much time is spent attacking mainstream scientific thought. So if you like the following: -appeals to authority -strawmanning -anecdotal “evidence” -you want to believe all consciousness is connected This is the podcast for you! If he had made the claim and them immediately backed it up with concrete evidence and studies, I’d be open to the thesis but there is so much dancing about, and such shallow discussion of actual studies, I found the arguments unconvincing. Instead much time was spent talking about how if you challenge mainstream thought you’ll lose your job, most scientists are too ambitious to “see the truth”, etc. Its like watching a youtube series on flat earth theories. There is enough talk of conspiracy while also sounding authoritative and “good faith evidence” to make it sound legit, but when you really examine the claims and arguments it falls completely flat. Not a good podcast to listen to if you actually want to hear about the state of understanding around the hard problem of consciousness.
-
LetterbetlvrGreat podcast for spiritual awakeningThis podcast tackled all kinds of topics that will help when you are talking to a skeptic or perhaps your uber religious loved one. All throughout the season the speakers kept mentioning this “first season” implying there will be more seasons. It has been a couple of years. Where is season 2? Please create more! :)
-
sydneyc wExcellent content and presentationI loved this podcast. I listened to all the episodes twice and I love the factual way the information is presented and it’s organized in a really logical order. I wish there were more than just season 1! I would have liked to see more time given to what the opposing arguments are and the flaws in those arguments, but altogether this podcast is really mindblowing, engaging to listen to, and thought-provoking.

AblossomCRevolutionaryThis is thoroughly researched, wonderfully produced and entertaining with ground breaking science. I am changed for the better.

SJKalilMore episodes please!Excellent and cant wait to listen to new book!
-
MarvinvilleVery Interesting ConceptI found this very interesting, it really does explain a lot if things are this way. I would love to hear more about how consciousness melds with or interacts with our physical world. That is, things we can see, hear and feel. Does the stream run across all physical objects in our world?
-
DIRTYGO@TINCREDIBLE !!!I loved all of these so much! Pls make a season 2 !!!
-
Seeking Good VibesVery good for an introduction and if you already know this stuff, enjoyableI like the premise of this podcast a lot. Very good job of explaining everything. I’m through Podcast seven and look forward to #8. The only issue I see is when you are referred to the hosts website for further in-depth interviews there is a $33 one time fee for non downloading Vimeo for the interviews. I could see monetizing the podcasts more with advertisers and putting the extended interviews as the podcasts going forward.
-
Dominolover91The intersection of science and spirituality explained!I stumbled across this podcast that supports my worldview and I’m so grateful. The more science learns about consciousness, the more we can accept the truth and find ways to improve our world. Thank you!
-
Psych!8Science-backed + easy (and enjoyable) to listen to!I seriously LOVED this series!

erae81Fantastic, interesting and life changing!Learn more than you thought you ever could about the truth about your consciousness and everything that goes along with it. Mark does an excellent job of sharing information in a way that makes sense.... even the quantum physics!

TriniWineTo the point & facts to back upThis is a very informative podcast, well done in the style of questioning and factual answers .. it is not an easy topic to discuss but they are doing a great job of keep the listener curious and even entertained.. well done 👏

HRBremnerrepetitive and dullWhile there are some good ideas in here, and I commend the hard work that Mark has done to research the information for his book, this podcast is disappointing as it doesn’t seem to have much depth nor is it intellectually challenging. It runs like a self help book that repeats itself over and over in order to get it’s one point across. All of the 8 episodes of season 1 could have been put into one single episode that would have been meaty and interesting. I quickly got bored after episode 2, most of the content was mentioned already in the first episode. I feel like I'm in 3rd grade when i listen. Frankly, it’s disappointing how many good ideas get lost in the sound bites and sound effects and fluff of production and don’t just get into the depth of a good subject.

Mountainrocker1967Wrong categoryWhy this podcast is listed in the science section is beyond me. This guy pushes a THEORY with absolutely not one shred of physical evidence while sounding like an anti-science infomercial. If you are looking for something to back up a BELIEF in an afterlife then this is for you. If on the other hand you are someone who depends on actual facts to reach a conclusion then avoid this podcast.

HollyKristineLife changing, potential to the change the worldThis podcast contains some truly life changing information—and is highly engrossing to listen to. It provided fodder for some deep family dinner conversation and is the podcast I am recommending to everyone I know. It is essential stuff that has changed the way I see the world and everyone else in it. Mind blown. Thank you for your excellent work. I look forward to the next season.
-
BejMeisterListening to this podcast should be mandatory! In my opinion, this podcast’s importance and it’s potential to change humanity can not be overstated.
-
BCool1Outstanding!!Engrossing, mind blowing, fascinating! Production value off the charts!

thebryman21Great intro to idealism ontologyI like the show. Intro material that listeners can use to dive deeper into Advaita Vedanta, Sufism, or other schools of philosophy. The full interviews are availalbe on Gober's website for $33. I find this bizarre, since I know how important the message is to him. One who seeks wealth from anything spirtual or spirtual-adjacent is far from the path. Release the interviews to the public is my 2 cents. That being said, thanks for your hard work on this.
-
mon4goosWell-researched and thought-provokingThis podcast explores a complex, nuanced, and stigmatized topic in a scientific way.
