Kevin, Long time listener and big time fan. I go back to the Sports Fix Days and am a lifelong Reskins fan by way of NY, a great conversation for another day... It only seems appropriate to finally review you after my tenured fandom amongst all your shows. I’ve only called it one time and that was years ago during the Cooley & Kevin show. You were away at the time and Cooley was doing the show without you and somehow he went down a rabbit hole about Foie Gras and how to pronounce it properly, that’s where I come in. As a lifelong restauranteur and a native New Yorker I felt compelled to chime in, that was my 10 seconds of fame (haha) but it was glorious and I often wonder if Cooley remembers the Foie Gras caller lol. Anyhow, love your commentary, love Tommy Purify and Captain Chaos is always a nice treat. Keep doing what you do and we’ll keep listening, 5 Stars!! #raisehail ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was born and raised in DC but have lived in Philly for 20 years. Kevin is a daily lifeline to DC sports past and present, and keeps me connected with my hometown in a way few other things do. Kevin has great knowledge and understanding of DC sports history and culture, and provides necessary context when it’s needed. The show is understandably football-heavy but I love when Kevin veers into basketball (especially DC basketball history) and baseball. And of course he’s your go-to voice for hockey updates and the hottest soccer stories of the day. This is not dumb jock sports radio and I appreciate that the callers are generally nuanced and intelligent. Would 100% listen to a G From the Shop podcast…

I have been listening to Kevin for more than a decade. He is the best guy in town for detailed, fact-based and entertaining sports analysis and commentary. If you want "dude" banter, mildly humorous "bits," and shows that are more about the host(s) than anything else, tune into something else. Sheehan is the intelligent, thinking man's show and the best Commanders coverage on the radio bar none. My favorite regular is Chris Cooley; but all his guests are great. Thank you, Kevin, for doing what you do!

Great show but Kevin is always cutting off his guest when they try to talk. When you ask a question let them finish their thoughts please.

The best DMV sports coverage between the radio show and podcast and it's not even close, breaking news time slot, A-List guests like The Doc Walker, SVP, Merrill Hodge for pre and post draft, weekly fantasy hits from Paul Charchian which I personally have used to hit prop parlays and lastly the smell test! Listen intently this is the best there is!

Kevin please don’t take his calls this week!! Let us “Skins” fans enjoy this victory week! I swear he is a Cowboys fans pretending to a Skins fan. He is always negative towards our team and players. Ian would of killed it money wise in the late 80s , 90s instead of those Phone sex numbers he could of had one called Knock you off your high horse. Where if you feeling good about yourself n called Ian he would definitely bring to down with his negativity n his voice. JD could win MVP n take us to the Superbowl n win! Ian would call in that Monday morning and complain about JD n tell you to be Elite he has to win more Superbowls. If you do take his calls make sure Denton has him on hold for most of the show then take his call you have a hard out with 15 seconds left. Keep up the great work. Thanks Kevin. Best sports show in the DMV area. I’ve listened to 980/Kevin for 12 years now. Only complaint I have is that his shows don’t get uploaded after the hour fast enough for me. The other shows on the station are uploaded a little quicker. Also, why are the Junks picture showing up for Kev?

This guy is always on vacation. Not sure if it’s his show or doc’s show at this point. I come here to hear you kev. You should just give your chair to someone that’s hungry because obviously you’re too full. Best ability is availability and your always gone. Just do your podcast I know I can catch you there.

Not gonna say I go out of my way to listen to Doc, but I’ll say this, he is such a great person. He is very good with Denton. Awesome show together. Doc will always go down as one of the greatest Redskins of all time. Thanks

If all you want to hear is someone patting themselves on the back about Jaden Daniels, then this is your dude. He spends the entire show talking about JD5 with the occasional Terp references.

Kevin is the very best of DC radio. Ignore the loud minority. More name talk is needed until we get a response from ownership. The name is a huge problem for many of us. And winning doesn’t matter when you don’t recognize anything resembling the team you loved.

I’ve followed them all, now I only follow one. This one. Don’t always agree (except for Tommy). But that makes it interesting.

This show is consistently topical and provocative. Kevin does not come off as a homer though he is. Smell test generally stinks but happy to listen.

The older you get the more out of touch you become with your listeners. Washington FC is the dumbest name suggestion I’ve heard for the team. You keep parroting it like it should be an option. This isn’t soccer. Lecturing everyone about the priorities of the team and how many millions they invested in this and that doesn’t resonate with people that make $60,000 a year. Nobody cares how expensive it is to change the name. Why would any of us have sympathy for a billionaire that decided to buy a product that Dan Snyder vomited all over. But hey, the rich folks got their luxury suites upgraded. I hope Dan Snyder sneaks back and pours milk all over the brand new carpet. And get Kirk Cousins pecker out of your mouth.

Kevin is great, but the addition of Denton has taken this show to another level. I love Kevin’s basketball breakdowns. Personally, I would like more national NHL talk, but I understand that is not a ratings driver. Right mix of stats and actual on the field analysis.

Great guests with a balanced approach to Washington sports. Kevin and Denton do a great job of reporting on Washington sports teams. They also get excellent guests to offer their commentary. It’s a Washington sports fan must listen.

Kevin , I’m so happy you managed to get Cooley on to give his break down of quarterbacks prior to the draft. It’s not that I didn’t trust your take on Braden Daniel’s talent, but Cooley has always been amazing breaking down film. When he said Daniels is the guy, I was all in at that point. I was able to finally relax and breathe easier heading into the draft! I I love the show. You and Thom are hilarious together!

It helps me get through the day. Your jokes and ways of reasoning on things are FUNNY. I am 49 years old grew up in S. Jersey. So you should know what team that region rooted for. The only gripe I have when we talk about the “old days” is the failure to mention how at the time, Redskins had 3 WR (at the time they and the Chargers with Joiner, Chandler, and Winslow did it) go over a 1,000yds. Clark, Sanders., Monk. No one ever talks about how they were 15-1 the year they lost to Raiders in SB. And the first 3 HOME games in ‘91 were shutouts. Jacob

Great show. I grew up in Montgomery Village and went to Gaithersburg HS. Been a Skins, Bullets, Orioles and Terp fan since 1969. You keep us up to speed on everything. I traveled a lot for work from 1983 to 2023 when I retired and moved to west Palm Beach. So I would record and replay your radio to listen when I traveled. I played football and basketball in HS so we played Whitman 1976-78. So before ur time. Played football at Delaware for a few years. My older brother went to UMD so I spent a lot of time there. He was an ATO. My father took us to every meaningful Terps game including the original UCLA game in the 70’s. The 1974 ACC championship game made me a Terps fan for life. Growing up in dc in the Gibbs era and watching the Dan “error” not era, I so much love this show. Kevin is awesome, Cooley and smoot are my favorite guests and I can’t get enough of it. The future is (has to be) brighter!!

Consider this your first 6 star review. The concept never even occurred to me until Thom suggested expanding the rating system to account for this show’s greatness. But that’s the added benefit of this show - Thom’s visionary perspective. Seriously though, I have been listening to Kevin for years and think he’s simply the best host in the DC area. The guests and show topics are exactly what you need to keep up locally and nationally. Thanks for doing the show. I’m sure it’s a lot of work to crank out so much daily but you guys make it look fun and easy.

No one better on giving honest but passionate commentary on the ‘Skins! For YEARS, you have been THE authority on our team. Wish you would mention JMU a bit more, but seriously, just appreciate you being the best at what you do.

Love Kevin and his shows. This version of it however is awful. Not because of content (except for when he goes on and on about Maryland/basketball). Episodes that are posted are badly edited and sometimes incomplete. Not even numbered by show hour. Third hour sometimes not posted at all! Duplicate individual segments thrown into the mix as well. They even stuff in content that has nothing to do with Kevin. All in all presented as a jumbled mess. Unfortunately Audacy app version just as bad. Good content sabotaged by audio engineering at its worst.

This is an awesome show. Love Sheehan and Tom together. Great stuff as always. Really has the best content for our DMV area sports.

I’m originally from Maryland and a big Skins fan! I used to listen to Kevin locally on 980. I have since moved to the Carolina’s and just recently found the show again through podcasts. I really enjoy Kevin’s expertise and breakdown of all things pertaining to our team. Easily my favorite podcast and my first turn to all things Washington football. Thanks for all you do sir and keep up the great work! #HAIL

I really enjoy listening to Kevin and Denton about the Commanders. My only gripe is when he takes calls. The audio quality of the callers is significantly worse than the hosts audio, its very difficult to hear them at times and ever worse when the caller has a crappy phone. Also, I think he lets certain callers ramble on too much, but that’s just my two cents. Overall a very solid show.

Hey Kevin, I look forward to your podcasts, IMHO, you have the best and most insightful take on the Washington football team. Always my first go to. My favorite is listening to you and Tommy, great combo, stories and humor but why does Tommy always sound like he has his nuts in a vice? You guys are at the opposite end of the vocal spectrum.

I guess Kevin knows his stuff BUT Doc, Tommy, and Cooley carry the show. 🤝🏼 lol

One that feels like the Dan Snyder Era & I & many fans are on a high & don’t wanna hear the negative Nancy’s like Lynnell. I love your show & listen to your radio show & podcast daily!
