    Live k & k & j!
I’ve never seen the show, I don’t plan on watching it, AND I have no clue what’s going on. I just love listening to my podcast friends talk ❤️

    Bake Off on Benzos
This review is for the listeners who’ve never heard of A Date with Dateline, which must be significantly more charming than this show for it to have brought so many fans over. The hosts (and how does it take three hosts to make a show so deeply soporific?) don’t seem particularly engaged with or interested in Bake Off; their apparent lack of any baking knowledge wouldn’t be a drawback in and of itself, but since this show has nothing else going for it it might be nice if they could relate a moment in Bake Off back to, I don’t know, the time they made a disastrous roulade or something. On the plus side, it makes for inoffensive background noise while doing chores & errands. If you’re an actual fan of Bake Off, save yourself some time and listen to “The Bake Down - Bake Off Reviewed,” where the hosts clearly enjoy both each other and the actual show.

Great Compliment to a Great Show
Love this podcast! I look forward to hearing what the hosts have to say about the episodes and enjoy the GBBO even more.

    Love this
Have listened to every show/every season but just learned how to leave a review(don’t judge). Five stars across the board. Have been a bake off nerd forever. Please consider doing old seasons, it would be so great.

    My name is Linda
And I don't watch this show, so I won't be listening to this podcast. 5 stars!

    The Amazing Race!!!
I love Amazing Race. My parents and I loved it. This was year’s season they had two Idahoans and even though they didn’t win it they were a nice representation of my great state of Idaho.

Seriously it’s obvious you don’t watch the show
My one comment of about 50 Matty went wedding dress shopping with his girlfriend. How could you not remember that?

Love the show, don’t love the jump cuts
I found this podcast after finishing this season of Bake Off and it makes me want to go and rewatch the season again! Thank you for the amazing commentary. One note I have, is the jump cuts are extremely noticeable. Once you hear one, you can’t ignore it and it becomes very distracting. Is it to cut a few seconds out of the sentence? I would much rather have 5 more minutes in the episode!

    Last episode???
Have come to love you all over this season. I’m on pins and needles for the last episode!

    Something so wholesome
I came to this podcast the long way around (listening to Pink Shade, heard Kimberly guest hosting, then went to Date with Dateline, and now this one…). I love many podcasts, and I’m no “Prue-de”, but there are times I just want to listen to something that makes you happy, and feel good and not have to hear about the most intimate details of the hosts’ lives, innuendo after innuendo, etc. That’s great sometimes, but other times I just need a break. There’s something so wholesome about GBBO that makes the viewer feel good and like the bakers are a big family and they draw you in, and you all have recreated that in podcast form. I have fallen in love with the podcast, as I did with GBBO many years ago. Thank you for being a wonderful group and a providing a fun, stress-free listen! You make my 2-3 hour daily commute much easier.

    Great find!
I found this podcast after your double date with Ellyn and Joey. It’s a pallet cleanser from true crime.

Podcast is great but this season of GBBO stinks
It’s very discouraging to see one person manipulating the entire season and taking real chances for others dreams to come true, right out from beneath their nose.

    Ready set listen!
If you love the show, this podcast is the most endearing listening companion! Witty, entertaining easy listen. Love it!

    So funny!
Kimberly and Katie get me through rough days. The festive show that was posted today is a scream. I’d listen to these two talk about anything, they’re so much fun. Even when they argue. Keep going ladies and live, laugh, love. And Jake is a wonderful addition.
  • cassielawyer
    Such a fun companion podcast
Of course I love Bake-off and this podcast makes it so fun to watch and then see if I missed anything or just reminisce about the episode. It’s very fun!

    Three people talking
The idea for the show is great, and I enjoy it when only one person at a time has their say. It’s also more fun when you stay on topic.

    Fun Podcast
Kimberly, Katie, and Jake make the already wonderful Great British Baking Show even more enjoyable. Love them!

    New to the Bake!
I absolutely love this. I tuned in on Netflix and then listened to the pod. So much fun! I’m already addicted to Katie’s and Kimberly’s other pod, A Date With Dateline. Two different genres one brilliant idea! Jake meshes perfectly. Love it!!!

Love these sweet, funny ladies and Jake!
This is be of my favorite podcasts, I’ve listened to each episode more than once. It’s such a happy, fun podcast. I wasn’t a Bake-Off watcher and only started so I could listen to this podcast and now I’m fully obsessed with both! I know you’re busy and it’s a lot of work but I’d definitely listen if you covered older seasons. Keep it coming please, love you 3! ❤️❤️❤️

    Hollywood handshake
I can’t watch cooking challenges because they make me hungry but I LOVE listening to these three recap the episodes. I like the team approach - with each host choosing contestants to cover - but it still needs a bit of tweaking to make sense to those of us who aren’t watching the show. The most recent format was the best yet, though, so you keep getting better! Jake is a nice addition to my favorite podcast duo.

    I want to like it
I really want to like this show. I like when they talk about the baker. What they liked or dislike about the show but I find it kind of annoying that they veer off on different subjects for long periods of time. I don’t mind banter every once in a while, but they forget what they were talking about to begin with. Also, they criticize the contestants for certain things that they too are having problems with. The Mexican week episode is a prime example of this. They’re teasing the contestants about their pronunciation of certain words and not understanding what Mexican food is. Yet the only reference to Mexican food they have is Taco Bell and what you can find at the grocery. The pronunciation of tostada is cringe worthy. I really hope that it gets better.

    5 Stars, No Notes!!
Love all three of you, guys. Please consider reviewing older seasons, that way Jake will understand all the older references…..Plus I think he will get a kick out of them. Thanks again for putting this lighthearted show out, sometimes I need something like this to listen to after hours of listening to True Crime podcast, yes that includes Katie and Kimberly’s other Date show.
  • EMwolfe31
    A date with…..
Came here because I love Kimberly and Katie and heard Jake a few times on ADWD. I needed more K&K so I decided to listen. Love it! Can’t wait to go back and listen to all of the episodes!!
  • BELLAJINGLEBELLS
    Please review old seasons ❤️
I cut out true crime so this is my only way to get a dose of Kimberly and Katie. Please cover old seasons, I love bake off and I only found the show because these two decided to do this podcast! PS: love the teams
  • KutieK5

  • Too busy to waste time
    Obsessed!
True crime and GBBS are my absolute favorites! I only recently discovered ADWD and am obsessed! Listening non-stop. Thank you for doing another season of GBBS so I can enjoy it in real time.

    Bakes & buffoonery!
Best podcast for GBBO out there. A very lovable American take (I listen to some of the British ones as well) and I adore the humor and wit and so much detail about the bakes! The team challenges took a minute for me, but found they add a new dimension to the ‘cast. Thank you for making me smile and laugh every week!
  • pcknUpwht
    Love the pod!
Love the podcast! I did prefer the prior format where the three of you took turns discussing the three challenges rather than the team approach. I’m finding the team approach harder to follow.

Love the Show: a Mexican listener weighs In on Mexican Week
K& K and Jake are flawless, charming and funny! Accolades, accolades, accolades… They asked for their Mexican listeners to weigh in on the abysmal Mexican Week… It was offensive from top to bottom! Besides the racist stereotypes perpetuated by a white European perspective , the country, it’s heritage and actual baked goods were reduced and stripped of its importance, it’s cultural relevance to a cartoonish appropriation of everything they meant to honor and highlight. The question about whether their “jokes” were good natured — it doesn’t matter. It is racist to mock a country, and it’s culture, etc. because it is punching down. In the position of Great Britain being a colonizer, their perspective is discounting that Mexican people are disproportionately subjected to racism, violence and poverty. Mexican baking, like it’s cuisine, is regional and not a monolith. There was no need to bring those awful tahcos into the mix, since that is not baked and if they did, that was a problem. Corn and flour tortillas are a type of flat bread and it would have been cool to have a Mexican chef be the guest to provide context and historical significance to the challenges. Tortillas by themselves whether corn or flour are a technical feat and could have been judged based on the masa and how the tortilla was cooked on a griddle not a stone. The entire pan dulce was particularly hurtful to watch because the whole concept was presented like all those breads were open to reinterpret with their own flavors. In Guadalajara, Jalisco, there is a strong French influence in baking and the torts rolls, teleras and staple bread birote was influenced by a chef from France that lived in the area during colonial times. There was no knowledge of how the bread is consumed and how these breads are dense for a specific purpose to be filling and economic and portable for an agricultural workforce. As a Mexican, the most offensive thing is that this hare-brained scheme was arrogantly lead with a total lack of understanding of the culture, and the baked items featured by white Europeans with no reverence for the culture they showcased without even considering asking a true expert - there is literally an entire freaking country with accomplished bakers and chefs. And the mustache was offensive because it reduces Mexicans to a feature — at best it’s stereotype — at worst it connotes the very racist imagery of a cartoonish lazy man. And Mexico does have numerous indigenous influences that derive from both Mayan and Aztec depending on the region. There was absolutely no mention of indigenous influenced baked foods. I don’t believe the chefs acted in malice, just ignorance. The judges, hosts and producers are culpable for being willfully ignorant and arrogant.

    A Date to Laugh
I look forward to episodes as much as I look forward to my tea of the month club!! Love these women, love this show! And to have Jake too just makes it better! ❤️❤️
  • NicoleMarieFL
What a fun side dish that compliments the weekly bakes!
As a loyal and OC listener of Pink Shade and Hey Bunkie I discovered this little gem of a podcast when one of Kimberly was guest hosting. I discovered the GBBO during the pandemic and it was the best diversion during such a trying time. So glad they decided to keep going with this podcast it’s definitely a labor of love.
