Re: Cockroach infestation from Episode - Diaries 09/03/24
Reilly, if you have cockroaches, deep cleaning your kitchen isn’t going to get rid of them. They don’t just move out of your house when you clean your kitchen or stop bringing food in. You’re seeing cockroaches in parts of your house other than your kitchen because they live in basically every dark crevice imaginable. They breed by the hundreds and are probably infesting your entire apartment. You NEED TO CALL AN EXTERMINATOR to get rid of them, other wise you’re killing one for every 100+ that are born. That is not a war you can win! Call an exterminator to treat the entire apartment/apartment building. That is the only way to get rid of cockroaches. Anyway, 5 stars. Keep up the hilarious work Alfred, at this point Reilly may have been replaced by a bunch of cockroaches and you are the only human host remaining.

    My favorite podcast
I’ve been listening to RR since it got announced, it was a huge source of comfort for me during the pandemic. Miss Geoff but Alf has both the chops and the wagon to keep the show rolling. Reilly’s a nogspert in all things

    USED to be 5 stars
Honestly the transition to Alfred has been nothing but… bad! And not in the Reilly way! Alfred seems to be super insecure about the old gold host Geoff. He swears he just wants to move on but every episode he goes on about Geoff. There’s clearly tension there and it truly feels like Alfred doesn’t want to find his own bearings, he just wants to BE GEOFF. Alfred is funny but seems a little too immature to make this transition into this golden hour of internet radio. Reilly is a golden goddess that deserves so much better :( I hope this doesn’t hurt the show, I really hope I do enjoy it again one day

    fav pod :)
Reilly is the best, and while I love all the old episodes with Geoff, I also think Alfred has been doing a really fantastic job as the new host. Makes me giggle, makes me SMILE, makes me WHILE away the hours.!

    Great group
They are so talented and are great to listen to, especially for improv enthusiasts. Guest list is also stellar!
  • nickname ks already taken.

Better than that other crooked old fart.

    Very insensitive
Apparently Geoffrey has a problem with the last name Yeoman. 10/10

    Rough around the edges
Most bits are objectively funny and the hosts are talented. I’ve had to stop and multiple episodes due to high pitched voices, baby talk, and awful variations of “rapper’s delight”

    Basura
Reilly and Geoffrey have never heard of Breaking Benjamin and that's all you need to know.

    Music Appreciation
Until Review Revue, I had never heard the Paul McCartney hit “I just wanna fuh you” and now it’s a part of my life I can’t live without. Same for the “Back back back” song Reilly sings when they return from break and the “This shook me all week long” segment intro. I guess they also read reviews from people on different topics, which is fine. But the high point of my life every week is Sir Paul McCartney singing I Just Wanna Fuh You.

    Phenomenal in the truest sense.
I’ve never laughed harder in my life than listening to these two describe rats forcing jamaba juice employees to “put the stems in” the blended drinks. If you’re interested in being confused, bewildered, but somehow at home- listen to this fantastic podcast. It’s a pod-blast.

    Of Nice and Men.
I rerouted from a flight back from what can only be described as a booze cruise of a vacation in Miami (it was fine) and had to wait in line for what seemed like and was a bad amount of time for a hotel voucher. This podcast kept me cherry during that frankly rather lime of a time. The only crime of this show is that I didn’t start listening to it sooner.

Show Grades, Thank God for Reilly
Reilly’s performance on this show is magical. Every time I listen I cry laughing at my desk and my coworkers think I’m some insane lunatic, but it’s worth it to listen to her puns, jokes, and for the lack of a better term - godlike talent? It’s worth it to listen to the show just for her. Geoff… well Geoff is really just so standard. Very middle of the pack. He’s not bad, don’t get me wrong. But each episode he sorta just, coasts? I’d give him a B- as a cohost. Not particularly bad, but nothing special. But Reilly is a consistent A with extra credit on every episode. So the totality of the show is an A, but Geoff’s B- really brings it down a little. Be (minus) better Geoff, please. A(plus)nd great job Reilly, keep up the good work.

    Funny but yeah
Show makes me laugh but also is good for listening. Watched Gilmore girls because they spoke about it. Really cool to be in my 20’s and listening to this. I recommended this podcast and their Patreon which seems cool so I finally paid $4 for seconds before writing this.

    The Container Store review
Reilly was absolutely on fire in The Container Store episode, had me dying. Geoff was also there.

    blesses my day
This podcast fills my dreary days with joy. The most nonsensical humor that can only come from intelligent people. Wonderful stuff. Also the reason I have Fun You stuck in my head at least 4 times a week, so thank you for that.

Five stars for this dive bar makes the mates say “Yar!”
Have you ever touched the face of God just to wipe away His tears? For those of you who have, listening to this show is quite the similar experience. Riley and Geoffrey are like a funnier Jake and Amir but worse-to-do and who probably have a slightly worse relationship with their parents. I would rate three stars if this app allowed it. All in all a solid 19/22!

    Award-winning
Not only is Review Revue a funny show, it has also claimed the prize for “comedy podcast with most references to Evanston.” I was stunned to encounter a live Spice House unboxing within this podcast. Keep it up, guys!

    More mellow than Costello
Abbot or otherwise. See, this isn’t a comedy podcast but a Andromeda Galaxy of laughs. How dare I enjoy this so much. It helps me remain and sustain (my existence) with how Geoff is a kinky lil bastard & Reilly is an actual professional. Why watch? Nah, don’t stop.
  • Rachaelfiore121212
    They are funny.
I am not a funny person, so I started listening to this in the hopes of becoming more comedic, fun, likable, lovable, etc. It did not work, I am still not funny. That being said, I enjoy listening to this podcast for it gives me a good chuckle. Maybe one day I’ll be more like Geoff and Rielly, but probably not..

    A 2020 Favorite
This show is so great, I love the banter, finding out what’s shaking Geoff and Reilly each week, the improv and of course those sweet sweet reviews.

    Is this Nirvana?
Picture yourself free from the constraints of a stable home: gracefully perched on a park bench, shivering to the bone in upper 60 degree weather, eliciting concerned stares from parents as they usher their children out of your general vicinity due to your unsettling and incessant cackling at a mere podcast. Sound liberating? Therapeutic, even? Well, you’re in for a snack. From the moment the first shrill tones of Review Revue gush from your speakers, penetrate your ears and trickle down your essence, you may as well be a vagrant of sorts because there’s only one thing on your mind: what time is it? The jokes are there. The banter, fine. But buckle up, Neo: you just took the bread pill, and like it or not, you’re along for this bumpy rye. The improv comes and goes, time flies as swift as a kite. And when the pod’s hour is up, you’ll swear it was only 45 minutes, because you were right there on that park bench - and it was home. Oh well, back to the mortgage for me!

y’all make me laugh harder than anything. Reilly, you are a queen and you have the voice of an angel. your goofs and general musings are one of a kind. Geoff, I like your vibe. your plays on words make me chew my gourds. also I have a crush on both of you. please keep making stuff forever

Literally almost died listening to this podcast
Howdy! This past summer I was out push mowing the lawn, listening to the Anthropology episode. The 100 degree sun beating down, out of breath, I couldn’t handle the laughter. I literally fell to the ground laughing so hard. I’m a proud Day 1 Podcat, looking forward to what’s to come! Keep up the good work! #GeoffAndReillyAreEssentialWorkers #GeoffWantsToHashtagReopenMichigan

    Love it
I would super love if they went to 2-3 times a week! I know that’s greedy, but I always look forward to this show!

I killed a man last week.
The chemistry between these two is matched. It is similar to other duos, but I enjoy this just as much if not slightly more. Can’t wait to see what these crazy kids do next. Just as much as I wonder what to do with the body. I have had many belly laughs listening to them. I wish they did more than two reviews and the bits were slightly shorter, but that might just be me. I also joined the Patreon. It was an accident. The murder, I mean, not the Patreon joining, just to be clear. I feel like Jake and Amir are transcending their comedy to just being two long friends hanging out, so it’s good to have a new crew to fill that hole in my heart. Similar to the hole in... No pressure, but I’m expecting a lot from you two in the future. And you don’t want to disappoint me.
  • Cato_Blue
When did the bits get so long...
I am a fan of this show but it seems like their scenes are getting dragged out a bit too long, like it’s the same bit for 15 minutes and instead of bringing in different reviews for variety it just 2 reviews and 2 long scenes now....
  • snidey987
45 minutes of a dude talking about his wagon
But, like, in a good way

    Goofs, gaffes, bants and laughs
Day one fan of the show. So fun to listen to two great comedians who genuinely enjoy each other’s sense of humor. They clearly put way more effort into their ad reads than they need to but that makes the ads actually enjoyable too. Would’ve given 6 stars but Reilly clearly doesn’t know how to pronounce Oaxacan
  • sarahisupset
    ads are the best part
just using this to offset a review i saw where they said the ads were too long. they were simply incorrect. the ads are hilarious and the only ad reads i don’t skip when it comes to podcasts. godbless the ads...marty
  • wasabi1181
Stop with the singing and ridiculous laughs. funnyish otherwise.
If you could PLEASE cut out the singing and stupid repetitive banter this show would be great. The giant over-exaggerated laughs are also pretty annoying and unnecessary.
