I’ve been listening to several of the most recent episodes and I’m impressed with host John Chase’s approach to his conversations with guests. He asks thoughtful questions and then sits back and allows the interviewee the space to answer. He’s a wonderful listener and his audience benefits. There’s no noise, no hype, just good conversations that we’re invited to share in. It’s informative, educational and inspiring. I also like the links he includes in the show notes to the guests should one want to explore them further. All around, one of the best paddling podcasts I’ve encountered. Cheers, John!

I was searching for sea kayaking podcasts hoping to find some that would find something relatable to my interest and was fortunate enough to find this. It has the exact topics, excellent host, amazing guests, and covers Great Lakes kayaking. Highly recommended!

This is an outstanding podcast. Each episode is produced with exceptional quality. I enjoy the content, the guests, and John's interview style. I happened upon it a couple of weeks ago and am working through the entire list of episodes! You just want to be out on the water at the conclusion of each show!

One of my favorite podcasts. I’m not even a sea kayaker. Yet. Keep out the good work!

The global sea-kayaking community is a small world of wonderful people, and in this very well produced podcast, John Chase allows us newcomers to get to know all the seakayaking pioneers, champions, stewards, and ambassadors of our sport from my Instagram feed :) John Chase does a great job interviewing each guest with grace and openness. Looking forward to more!

Love it. It’s my favorite paddling podcast

A while back, I searched, looking for a podcast that focused on kayaking and was disappointed. Recently on a Facebook kayak page, someone posted a link to John’s podcast “Paddling the Blue”. What a surprise. Great guest interviews and fantastic storytelling. The podcast is not only educational, but the style comes across both passionate and authentically professional. For me the bonus was the fact that it was broadcasted from the Great Lakes area, where I currently live. I immediately recognized the names of some of the guests and have made my way through almost all of the episodes. Looking forward to more. I recently started back kayaking in the Chicago area after a very long pause due to work and looking forward to planning some long trips starting here in the Midwest before summer’s end. So this podcast was timely for me and very inspiring to take things up a notch. Keep up the great work John.

There are only two episodes at the time I’m writing this review but so far I have been impressed with the quality of the interviews and the names interviewed. I have really enjoyed learning more about two of my paddling hero’s not just about their gear and the food choices. Great work keep it up cant wait for episode 3.
