    Great
I have been a student at Mensch academy for 8 or more years and am happy to find recordings of sermons! Thank you Rabbi Lizzie

Grateful to stumble across this podcast!
What a refreshing and present approach in gathering ancient knowledge and constructing and delivering it into the modern day. The sermons are very insightful and listening to Hebrew is beautiful. The approach that Mishkan takes, is very transformative. I wasn’t born Jewish, yet constantly stumble across many spiritual teachings(through people and online/digital world) I’ve been applying a lot of these teachings into my life which resonates on many levels. I look forward to attending an event in the future.

    Fresh Jewish Perspective
I love the sermons because they often make me think about Jewish traditions, values, and life in general in a new way. Sometimes they challenge prior assumptions and they are always compassionate and engaging.

    Inspiring
Contact Chai is an inspiring mix of reflections on both current events and timeless practices of Judaism that impact our daily lives. Its content is both practical and challenging. Mishkan rabbi’s apply Jewish philosophy and truth to politics, current events & and life milestones. Content geared to Jewish listeners but definitely applicable to the Jew-curious as well.

    Engaging and inspiring
I usually listen to all my podcast at 1.5 speed. This one I slow down and listen to at normal speed so I can take it all in and let it wash over me. As a teaching I really appreciate the approaches to education presented.

    Binge-worthy, Down to Earth
The beauty of a Shabbat sermon is its staying power -- that you can hear it on Friday night and let it soak in all week. But I couldn’t help myself, I binged Contact Chai, auto-play, spiritual gluttony. Seriously, though, this podcast is so good I couldn’t wait to hear more. From the Replays to the special interviews, this Jewish podcast is the most relevant, thoughtful, and inspiring podcast in a most down-to-earth way.

    Always thought-provoking
Love having a bit of Mishkan to take with me. If you’re looking for serious Jewish content steeped in tradition but innovative and really bringing these ideas into the 21st century.

A little more of Friday night
Every week on Shabbat rabbi Lizzi brings us a little Torah and spirituality that connects with our real life. Now we get even more Jewish goodness from Lizzi’s amazing friends and it makes my midweek feel a little more holy.

A Fresh Look through a Jewish Lens
Rabbi Lizzi, the Mishkan staff and podcasts guest are the best! I'm not one for services, but I relish jewish thoughts and ideas. Lizzi and her cohort present them in a wise and approachabale way. I've had a takeaway that I "needed" to share, from every episode!

    Heck yeah Judaism!!
Do you like your Judaism accessible, relevant, modern and inclusive? If so, you’ve come to the right place! Fantastic podcast to catch up on Rabbi Lizzi + Rabbi Deena’s Shabbat drashes (sermons) plus learn from special guests - spiritual leaders from Jewish and other faith communities :) Definitely a must-listen!

    The nostalgia of Hanukkah music
I enjoyed listening to the rabbi and Jessica Kate Meyer. I learned a lot and a song or two I’d never heard. Good sound, too, btw.

  • RebInChi
    Love this!
Each episode thought provoking, surprising and interesting.
  • Adamolevy
    Not a wasted word
The second episode “putting the world back together with Pastah J” is the richest and most focused conversation about how to think about and act on our desires for justice in the black community. I enjoyed the first episode but this one was over the top excellent. I’m going to be processing this for some time. Thank for putting this out there for us! Looking forward to the next episode!

    Transformation
This first episode of Rabbi Lizzi’s new podcast brought two parts of me together - my “personal transformation, always growing spiritual” part... with my “trying to make sense of Jewish tradition” part. That integration is indeed transformational... I feel it viscerally as I listen and finish up my Seder food preparations (for one). Deep gratitude to Lizzi and Dana.
