    Great interviews
As a composer some might think I like sitting around and listening to other composers talk about their process... But it's actually the opposite and I rarely find myself listening to composer interviews. So it's awesome that The Film Scorer does a great job of making their interviews be less about the technical aspects of what goes into creating film scores and more so what goes into the headspace of someone working on a film score. I really appreciate that and have found these interviews to be really engaging and worth checking out. Great show.

Deep Insights in an Under-explored Gold Mine

    This is the Weirding Way
When talking about film, the natural instinct is to focus on the obvious. We dissect, grade, and debate the directors, actors, and writers. These usual suspects tend to bask in the glory. However, a remarkable score is like a dope bassist playing in the pocket. It almost fades into the background for doing its job so well. But if you're paying attention, its greatness becomes apparent and the entire composition is incomplete without it. This too deserves to be dissected, graded, and debated. The Film Scorer provides this much needed insight that has been missing from typical film review discourse.

A Champion for Film and Media Music
This podcast is great for anyone who wants to go deeper than just the top billed composers. So many interesting interviews and topics, and has helped expose me to a much wider breadth of music than I had before.
