EmberMikeIncredibly insightful and fun!The depth and dimension of these interviews and the insight they give to how these branding projects are conceived and completed is truly invaluable to creative professionals. This is a sort of peek under the hood into huge projects that we otherwise wouldn’t get this kind of a detailed behind-the-scenes look at. It’s informative, helpful, and fun at the same time with stories of a whole rebranding effort and the ups and downs of navigating that process. Really excited for the next season!

Pimply DimplySuch great content for marketersI’m a corporate marketer (my company has actually been covered on this podcast), and I’m so happy to have content like this. N.CoutoFun and insightful design podcastA Change of Brand in my opinion is one of the best design podcasts around. A must for any brand designer. It’s really well produced, with informative guest speakers dishing lots of details (both good and bad) on their rebranding projects. Blake, Tracy, and the team at Matchstic are fantastic hosts. I always look forward to each episode!

COLINFLOWERGreat Concept, Great Guests, Great Host, Great Design PodThere are very few graphic design podcasts this well done—a must-listen for all brand designers. As a designer I find it a super fun and interesting to hear designers tell the stories behind the rebrands. I learn, I laugh, I get ideas that inform my own process, and I hear about cool studios and work outside of my typical social media design echochamber. Every episode is worth a listen.

S.0C0NN0RIt’s easy to judge work with no context. It’s harder when you know all the juicy details and what really informed the final outcome. And that’s just what this show delivers on. Despite being an authority on the topic of branding, Blake approaches each episode with a genuine sense of inquisitiveness, with an attitude that there’s always more to learn. Overall this podcast is an insightful look behind the curtain of what goes into a brand overhaul, including what that process looks like pre, during, and post launch. No doubt a ton of work goes into producing each episode but Blake and team have managed to strike a difficult balance of feeling natural and conversational, but not overly scripted or contrived. If you’re looking for a change of podcasts, look no further than A Change of Brand.

Benjamin StarrGreat stuff, keep it coming + 1 suggestionLove this podcast. Very informative, great pacing and some very cool gets. Would love it if you did an ep about the 2009 Tropicana rebrand…would be great to hear straight from the source about the decision making that went into it, and why the minds behind it pulled it back so quickly instead of letting it marinate.
-
andyspanjOne of my all time favorites.I love this podcast. It’s just what I’ve been looking for as a graphic designer— stories about the most successful (and famous) brand identities. The more episodes the better… keep ‘m coming!

EddieRayDesignInfotainment!A must-listen for everyone in the business. Whether you’re trying to break in or a seasoned vet there are always lessons to learn and stories to chuckle at. Breaks things down on a human level and gives real behind-the-scenes looks, past the “it was a joy to work on” boilerplate answers. They walk the walk too, nailing their own Sonic branding.
-

wennemarCost of the Change of Brand?I love how the podcast focuses on the rebranding process! Everything is covered on each episode except cost and budget. As a designer it would be very insightful to listen to the cost of the change. I know all client relationships are of different value, but hearing the price would validate the creative value of the current market value of the design process.

maxtheswiftA Fascinating Listen Every WeekIt's easy to have a gut response to a rebrand without considering the thought processes behind it. Blake does a great job asking the tough questions that make you think twice about the "why" that went in to a project, and help you to appreciate the artistry in branding. Come for the juicy tidbits and rockstar guests, stay for the inspiration and challenging conversations.

Some Independent DesignerFor Brand NerdsProduction quality and content are top notch, giving listeners an entertaining insight behind the scenes of some major redesigns in recent years. As consumers of brands and designers, we often think we understand what goes into a redesign, but there’s more to the story in every episode.

-
edwardsunATLThe BEST rebranding podcast out thereExcellent production, storytelling, case studies, and insights. You won’t find this quality of branding content in any other podcast. Believe me. I’ve searched far and wide.
-
Ramington IIIFinallyBrand designers don’t often turn their storytelling talents to tell their own sagas of process and value creation. This podcast is that - done splendidly well. Worth it for those industry creators and their tangential partners who think of design as a black box.
-
jsholdenTruth and CourageYou might like this podcast if you own a brand, work on a brand, or just like good first person stories. Season one (and now season two) owns the branding genre by sharing the behind the scenes journey of brand transformations. At the heart of each story is an agency team willing to give their creative, emotional, and physical energy to something most people don’t understand. Driving that willingness is a passion for uncovering the rich, often unseen value of something, and bringing it into the light. I’m learning from this podcast that branding agencies need a deep dedication to truth and courage as core values.

Ryan W FitzgeraldA Brand Nerd’s DreamSlightly (ok, maybe not so slightly) obsessed with this podcast. I tell every marketing and brand person I talk to about it.
-
Samantha ClevelandMove over Roman Mars...Not since 99 PI has a design podcast been so engaging. If you love design, these conversations offer a peek behind the curtain of brand relaunches, from inspiration and challenges to controversies and triumphs. Blake is an excellent host who prompts his guests through conversations with expert level experience and insight. A must-listen for brand strategists and designers at large. Thank you Matchstic for producing this gem. Can’t wait for season two!

Sunsphere CityRekindled my love of branding. See what I did there?Listening to these stories from the folks behind the work has gotten me thinking about brand design in ways I haven't in quite a long time. Thanks for taking the time and energy to capture the stories and efforts behind these rebrands and keeping it entertaining along the way. My only request is for longer episodes. It takes me 3 hours to mow my lawn and I'm quickly running out of episodes to listen to. Thanks again! Gern B

Hall MarCommNew, Fresh TakeReally enjoying listening to “Change of Brand” and find even just the layout of the episodes to be refreshing. Each episode is engaging and keeps your attention. Was so glad to be able to add this to my podcast go to list, after learning about it on “Accidentally Creative.”

Bailey DingleyJust what the nerd in me wanted! As someone who works at a creative agency myself, you would think my job would make me tired of this type of content, but no! This podcast fuels it and is such pleasure to catch up on and revisit all things marketing and branding. I am familiar with Matchstic’s work and the podcast does NOT disappoint! Definitely recommend to friends!
-
Artsy_ElaineBrand Nerds RejoiceI love everything Matchstic puts out into the universe, and this podcast is another great example of that. Blake is always entertaining as the host, and they know how to pick interesting case studies with top notch design. It’s really interesting to hear the stories behind well-known re-brands and get more insight. Designers know that it’s hard to judge a logo design from the outside, you get a greater appreciation for it hearing the challenges and objectives of the brand. Serendipitously, as I was about to play the most recent episode of this podcast, I was driving home alone and getting tired, so I stopped for a caffeinated drink at…Dunkin’! It felt appropriate to be drinking their delicious iced coffee while I listened to the story behind their new branding.

allison pedenFamiliar voiceMy first interest in the creative industry came through Creative Mornings Atlanta that Blake Howard host. Through producing this podcast, he has provided a familiar voice in the large world of branding. That of itself provides a level of comfort when learning about big ideas. This podcast is well produced, well written, and truly insightful. Thank you Blake and Matchstic team for giving us an eye into the creative process of branding. We, the listeners, are better for it.
-
Andrew del RiscoEasy listen. You don’t have to know anything about branding to like this podcast. This podcast is very easy to listen to and doesn’t require you to know anything ahead of time to understand. I appreciate that- it’s non-pretentious but just a fun and easy listen to get the inside scoop on your favorite brands. Also, love the pop culture references throughout- hearing about the way popular culture reacts to major brand updates is one of my favorite aspects of the show (please listen to the Airbnb episode... it’s risqué and hilarious)
-

emmalinhThe design world NEEDS this! This podcast is ESSENTIAL in the world of design and branding. Detailed reporting, thoughtful narratives, and insightful conversations abound. Usually we just get the designers’ perspectives of the design aspects, but in this case, it’s refreshing that the host also shines a light on business/creative strategy and impact. I’ve never felt more grateful to hear a podcast until A Change of Brand!
