SoonerbarkerStop talking politicsLove this show, up until a month ago or so. I noticed all the guests and all the panel is leaning to the left. I never really knew that (which is a good thing)until recently (which is a bad thing). I understand why you are talking politics. But it’s getting too unbalanced. You guys live in a bubble, for the rest of us out here in middle America, the economy isn’t as good as you portray. I’m happy you are doing well, but there is a lot of your listeners who are still struggling to keep up with higher prices for groceries, insurance, home prices. Not everyone’s paycheck has caught up to inflation prices from several years ago. I love the show, but please try to be more even in you assessment of the whole economy. Not all listeners live on either coast. Some of us fly over state people like your show too.

bdhdjdldkBest economy to be a millionaireStopped listening about half way to the latest episode. Love listening to the output but I can’t believe you think this economy is unbelievable good. We’re dealing with the after math of government spending from the previous term. Consumer debt for middle and lower class Americans is at record highs. The reason why the fed cut 50 instead of 25 is because they know consumers don’t have the credit nor the funds to go out and make big purchases. If you’re in a position to profit from todays market, yes the economy is great. But that is not the reality for the average American.

Economics insiderPlease stay “inside economics”Excellent show, particularly when staying on target and concentrating on economics. Last week (and several other times in the past) Mark Zandi could not refrain himself into dwelling into politics, and asking this time his co-host and guest (!) for additional dems votes in Pennsylvania. Mark is well known for his liberal views, but the show would greatly benefit when he refrains from these tactics, and stays “inside economics”.

ColoradBy far, my favorite podcastThis podcast has turned me into an amateur economist. I began listening a couple of years ago and didn’t understand every term or acronym. Mark, Cris, Marisa and guests take time to explain the concepts as they discuss the real world through an economic lens and the Economy through a real world lens. Although Mark’s son may disagree, I find their banter enjoyable. Like any great podcast, I am happy to spend some time in my car, on a run, or perhaps “on the couch” with my podcast economist friends. I tune in to every show for the intellectual discussions and to provide, at least, a weekly fix of intelligent conversation. Insights gained from the show have allowed me to better articulate my view of the world to customers, family, and friends. As a burgeoning amateur economist, I am better prepared to argue Economic Policy and Politics to other nerds who would listen to such things. Podcasts can be very personal to the listener. After a while, the hosts, topics, and language (Zandyisms) become a part of your life and routine. Two weeks ago, Cris used the term, “I’m just saying” against Mark and after Cris had quickly won a round of the Statistics Game. I must have looked the fool as i burst out laughing, hearing this quip through my headphones. My only complaint about Inside Economics is it is only a weekly show. I smile extra wide when I see that there will be a bonus episode and I that I will have the team along one more drive or run that week. I have, and will continue, to recommend this as the best podcast. Thank you team! Austin Crain, amateur economist

My nickname 109Great show!I don’t know much about economics, but I know more now than when I first started listening! Love the friendly cordial intelligent informed dynamic between the hosts and guests. Keep up the good work!

POB226Best Econ Podcast for Curious Non-EconomistEntertaining, informative, and detailed without getting too far down in the weeds. I like the way they stop to explain and define basic concepts, but then provide more in-depth understanding. I am an avid listener of other political podcasts, but I'm starting to realize how many political commentators don't fully understand economics. Keep up the great work!

ZKJ2022Good discussionGood education on statistics for lay person.

Justin C - Commercial BuilderFount of Information and IntelligenceMarissa, Chris, and Mark are the professional economists that you wish you could parse through the weeks news with every Friday. They dedicate lots of their time and energy to share their disparate views on the weeks happenings through the lens of their50+ years of joint experience, along with their esteemed guests. This is the best free news source that help the curious American make sense of the often conflicting and confusing news and published figures measuring where the economy and the American zeitgeist are on any particular Friday. Longtime listener and appreciative fan of their work.

taxgirljudyInside economicsInside Economics is great podcast for anyone interested in understanding the financial and current economic circumstances in the world and especially in the US. I’ve had a few Econ classes which are helpful but not necessary in gleaning the information presented. The moderators do a wonderful job at explaining unfamiliar terms and concepts that are used during the show. I’m quite impressed how patiently these concepts and specific situations are explained at length. Again if your interested in economics, both retrospectively and the possibilities in the near future this show is for you.

AlexanderrMillNever missesI have been listening since the show debuted and haven’t missed more than 10% of the episodes. Mark has an exceptional facility for the stats but also has no fear taking positions that contradict them when he feels they’re wrong. Chris is wonkier and always tempers Mark’s animal spirits. And Marissa, who replaced Ryan, is the true numbers thinker of the show. The collection of them almost always circle the truth, and they haven’t missed a major call since I started listening. Admittedly they’re maybe a little less funny than they think, but they’re the sharpest economists out there.

ShannAliShockingly out of touchI am a regular listener of the podcast and I enjoy the analysis, insights, and hosts. However, I frequently cringe at the “let them eat cake” comments of the hosts and it makes me question if they actually have a good grip on macroeconomics. This week’s “who even wants a second job?” comment shows a massive lack of understanding of the average American, an understanding I think we all need to be empathetic with no matter our station in life. While the lower half of the economy doesn’t figure into things as heavily I suppose, they do vote, and their plight is something I think it is is irresponsible to be flippant about.

Kathryn0610A Great Show!Longtime listener and really enjoy this podcast. It’s conversational, informative, and fun. The core group of Mark, Marisa, and Chris work well together, and I enjoy the special guests. Listen every Friday and would recommend to anyone with an interest in economics.
-
AverageRickA Weekly Must ListenI absolutely love this podcast! It provides an insightful and engaging exploration of economic concepts, making some complex subjects accessible to all. The Mark and the gang’s clear explanations, thought-provoking discussions, and real-world examples make each episode both educational and entertaining. It's a must-listen for anyone interested in understanding the intricacies of our global economy.
-
IsthisvalidThoughtful and kinda fun evenDidn’t expect an economics podcast to be fun but they make it pretty fun. I like that they bring in arguments for or against certain outcomeswhile avoiding a heavy dose of blind idealogy like you see elsewhere.
-
MRG77$Screen guests betterOverall, above average podcast. One episode in particular highlighted the need to better screen guests or inform them of how to interact well with the other commentators. Diane Swonk was very knowledgeable, but she dominated the podcast and consistently cutoff the regular contributors. Huge name dropper. This took away from her presentation.
-
notalwaysabadreviewMark is never wrongAll this show is consist of Mark rephrasing whatever the guest he has on says, to fit his narrative. I don’t understand how they come up with their numbers or can say the statistics they publicize. They are not living in reality. Everyone’s a democrat, there’s never any variety in the guest. Mark can’t handle an opposing viewpoint.

tjb2222222222Great showGreat show that gives differing but informative opinions on the outlook of different markets across the globe.

Coolabe2639Good stuffAwesome podcast. This is the most informative podcast I listen to and I really like Ryan. Can you guys change the intro music though?

Ethan1297543366Love this showThis show has been an invaluable source of information for me to help my clients make sense of this current market. I am a mortgage lender and having these valuable insights is a game-changer. I love Mark’s casual approach to keep the topics accessible, he usually hits pause if someone says an acronym (J.O.L.T.S.) or other complicated term without context so the lay person can understand. I appreciate how they bring on guests and give them plenty of space to share their ideas. Keep up the good work!!

DigtronInteresting But MumbledThe information in this podcast is interesting to hear and learn about, but there is a lot of soft mumbling amongst normal strong talking, so you can’t turn up the volume to hear the soft mumbling, or the normal talking will sound extremely loud. It makes it hard to listen to unless you’re sitting down with your full focus on the soft talking. Without this, I lose a lot of bits of the conversation and will often tune in and out as it’s playing while I’m doing other tasks.
-
BCMusicLoverEconomics and it’s impact explainedYou don’t have to be an economist to understand the important points discussed by Mark, Ryan, Chris and their guests. This is by far my favorite podcast. I’m not an economist or financial expert and they make the topics easy to understand for a lay person like myself.
-
T_CrimeFanReignited Macro InterestThe current economic conditions caused me to take special interest in these topics and this podcast has been interesting and helpful. Great Friday listen, plus they are serious when it counts but don’t take themselves too seriously. Economists can have a sense of humor too.
-
maddie@podcastingyouGreat podcast! This podcast is super informative, and an excellent resource for anyone who wants to stay up to date on the current state of the market!

PelfkaHonest feedbackI started listening to this podcast because of my interest in economics but I wanted something that discussed the numbers. The host of this podcast drives the conversation towards his views and the people he picks to have on he chooses to have in support of his views which he has made clear is extremely bias. Instead of talking about numbers they look at ways to make things look better than what they are. They use the same excuses as to why we are here, everything except policy. Any dissenting view is not discussed it is shot down. This last podcast the host literally said no we’re not discussing that I’m the host I’m the one driving the conversation. If you want a podcast that makes excuses for the current admin and is for squashing opinions that do not line up with the hosts (leftist) views then this one is for you. I’m disappointed because this podcast started talking about numbers and was fantastic and has turned into a mouthpiece for the current administration. These people are elitists and do not live in the real world. Talk about numbers as they are,not if they didn’t include this and that. Also the game you play is ridiculous and just a way to feed your own egos.

iamkarpGreat balance of entertainment and informationI really enjoy this podcast. There guys are very good and they are great at explaining what they are talking about. Great way to keep up with what is going on in the economy.

Dwork7777777My New Favorite PodcastI first heard the show in January of this year and started listening regularly in February. Now, I’m always waiting for Friday for the next episode to drop. Great personalities, great analysis, and overall, a great podcast.

Don ShimodaWho knew economics could be so much fun.Current, informative and entertaining…well done!
-
dange depGreat podcastThanks for sharing your knowledge. The podcast is incredibly useful, educational, etc. Can you bring in a guest to better explain oil supply and demand dynamics, and forecast oil price if the war and sanctions continue long term (either seems likely)? Thanks.
-
nottooshabsSuper interestingThis is an engaging way to dive deeper into economics if the more human interest type econ podcasts have piqued your curiosity. The hosts go at a pretty decent clip through the data but stop to explain just often enough for a layperson to keep up more or less. In terms of guests, some are more interesting or listenable than others, but Marisa DiNatale was a real standout and I hope the hosts have her back regularly. Her explanation of the current relationship between wage growth and inflation was so clear and edifying, worth a listen for sure. As far as the wonky deep dive episode I think it’s useful context for the podcast and look forward to more, hopefully one on GDP is next. All in all a good podcast, highly recommend!

FrabksterBest Macroeconomic Discussion EverA great mix of discussion, data, stats, opposing opinions and friendly banter. Very thankful I found this podcast. They do a great job with all things macroeconomic and provide great insight regarding fed policy.
-
dahmedOne my fav economics/business podcastsThe deep dives in macro are important. The discussion is conversational. The guys are not your typical uptight finance types. The occasional friendly banter is fun. The jokes are sometimes corny. Hands down, one of my favorite pods that I look forward to every week.
-
wanara90An economics podcast I can recommend to anyoneI look forward to listening to this podcast every week. Mark, Ryan, and Cris do an excellent job breaking down economic information and fully explaining their perspectives in a way that is easily understood by anyone without an economics background. They are a TON of fun to listen to. Their wonderful chemistry, obviously born from years of friendship, breeds amusing banter that guests often share in.
-
CEiswAm a fan but yikesMark needs to do research on crypto and blockchain before doing another episode on it. Sounds like a dinosaur and in some instances is inaccurate. Joe was a great choice as a guest on the topic and the conversation could have gone much deeper had Mark utilized the interview to explore the advantages of DeFi rather than to just dispel it.

AlthatoneguyRising to the challenge 100th reviewGreat podcast! I’ve been recommending it to friends. I like how it allows me to keep abreast of our economy in a clear and concise way. I also like how you guys mesh talking about the overall economy with a specific topic. One other thing is that in one of the earlier episodes you guys mentioned that it was too long at about 45mins. Glad to see you realizing they can be longer. The majority of the podcasts that are actually good are an hour plus. Feel free to go longer if you guys want! 2-3 hours of solid content on the economy each week would be awesome!
-
never nicknamedPlay them twiceYou know a podcast is worthwhile when you work your way back to catch up on episodes you missed because you were not aware.
-
CoolCalmCollectedConnorExceptionalFabulous Podcast from highly educated individuals
-
texasreadersGood content and formatEnjoying the topics and format. Please watch the talking over one another. Economics is complex, hard to catch all the content when the speakers talk over one another.

N0LAKatGreat way to keep currentI run my bank’s allowance for credit losses process — we use Moody’s forecasts, so this is a great way to gain some additional insight on upcoming forecasts and forecast movements.
-
Creed167Great PodLove hearing the group and the expertise and insight weekly. Anyway it could be published a day earlier? By Friday evening I’m usually out of “podcast mode” due to no more work commutes, etc.
-
Your SquirrelinessGreat contentI really enjoy hearing the current economic trends and news. Audio quality and background noise need improvement.
-
Mac-DZGreat for LearningI started listening to the podcast because I want to learn more about the economy. I think there are many like me who wish to know what the expectations are moving forward after such uncertain times. This podcast is great for that. I would like to hear more of explanations geared towards some of us laymen. I’m glad you’ve begun to increase the length of the podcast closer to 1hr. It just doesn’t fell like 30-45 minutes gives you guys time to really get into your ideas and thoughts (which is what we want to listen to.) Keep it humble guys. Doing good stuff and we’re enjoying it. PS - Stay out of the political rhetoric.
-
jjjwbExcellentGreat way to learn more about macroeconomics, the hosts are smart, the style is down to earth, I love it. Thank you!
