A wonderful opportunity to relive your favorite Woody Allen films…and learn more about them too.
What a sincerely delightful podcast, Woody Allen is one of my very favorite filmmakers, his films bring me so much joy, and this podcast offers a unique way to relive & cherish those films, while I learn more about them in the process. With so many people trying to tear Mr. Allen down these days, it’s downright refreshing to hear someone praise the many wonderful contributions Woody Allen has made to the world of cinema, and beyond. If you enjoy his films, you simply must listen to this podcast. It’s repeat listening worthy, just as the films are repeat viewing. Thank you to Willam Miller.

I don’t usually rate podcasts, but this is such a well researched, written and presented look at Woody’s work that I had to stop and give this five stars.

For Every Woody Allen Film Fan
I love this podcast. Perfect length, well researched. I’ve been meaning to do a Woody rewatch of his entire library for years, and now I have a good reason to each week. Also a smart move to randomly choose films from catalogue rather than chronological order. Keeps up the interest, as I wait for that tweet each week that will direct me to my next movie. Fun stuff.

Insightful Look into America’s Best Filmmaker
I absolutely love this podcast and am bummed that we only have 50 movies to cover. You might have to circle back and hit these all a 2nd time from a different angle. Very sharp analysis, and the Australian accent just puts this over the top.

    Great for Woody fans everywhere
Great review of the films , along with context related to his entire oeuvre . In addition provides details that you rarely hear about or come across in books about Allen. The recent podcast on the music of his films was outstanding . I would like to see more theme based ideas that cut across several films , like cinematography or specific actors Woody likes to work with etc . Overall a great podcast .

    What a pleasure
As a film dilettante, I waited to review this podcast until it covered a Woody Allen film that I had seen, in my case, “Magic in the Moonlight.” The discussion (spoiler-filled, as they all are) gave a recap of the storyline and added both historical context and interesting observations on Allen’s cinematic choices. The sound quality of the podcast was excellent as well. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who enjoys Woody Allen’s work.

    Bravo!
I’ve been waiting for a Woody Allen podcast for years. The first episode is both thoughtful & insightful. My only complaint was its relatively short running time. Looking forward to lots of discussion on my favorite filmmaker.

Delightful for Fans of Woody Allen and Lovers of Cinema
Excellent first installment reviewing Crimes and Misdemeanors. Very informative and entertaining. For someone like me who’s seen the film more than a dozen times, I still learned something new. (In this case it was about Lester, the Alan Alda character.) I’ve enjoyed visiting The Woody Allen Pages over the years and I’m pleased to see how it’s grown from a digest of Woody Allen tidbits, to a three-volume film guidebook, to the podcast you now hold in your hands. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
