Great writing. Great voice actors. Awesome to have a LGBT main character where that identity isn’t 70% of the story, just part of who she is as a character…like an actual normal person…bc…you know, that’s all everyone is.

One of the best fiction podcasts I've ever heard. Superbly built tension and a story that has serious things to say about the false binaries forced on people by ideologies intended to control people and turn them against one another. It really sticks the landing. Spent two days binging the show and as the final episode ended I gave it a standing ovation with tears in my eyes. Absolutely brilliant.

This podcast is beautifully and carefully written, thoughtfully edited, and hauntingly scored. The voice actors are fantastic - you really feel as though you can see them interacting and narrating. Most interestingly, you can follow along and interact with the story and characters themselves to whatever extent you’d like. As an ARG (augmented reality game) the creators have made full websites with hidden passwords and messages, opened up a discord where you can voice your theories and frustrations directly to the lead character, Marlowe Verne, and even receive secret missions from the Auremana, a (cult) religious group that wants you to discover how to channel the energies of the world around you. If you enjoy spooky stories with grounded characters and that small town vibe, you should catch up quick so that you’ll have been here for whatever happens in Skinner.

Incredibly captivating!!!

The writing is really good. And the acting is top notch. This is up there with shows like we’re alive and unwell. I really love the story, which is kinda cool because it’s not usually my thing. It’s not at all what I thought it was going to be, but it’s so good I love it. I binged every episode in like 2 days and I can’t wait for more.

I love Marlowe and there are so many characters that it really feels like a community on the island. Some really funny quirky characters too. Every episode leaves me with questions and wanting to know more!! Recommend headphones to catch everything but there are transcripts in the works in the discord.

Investigative journalism done right ( so far). I’m 5/6 episodes in. I’m already invested in the world that has been built. I’m fully convinced the town skinner exists, that the Ora -manna (Auremana) is a real coven. And I enjoy the relationships within the cast. M is a great narrator and protagonist and her vocal quality will lull you into being on her side despite glaringly obvious trepidations with her decisions because you know she’s on the right path even though It gives the listener anxiety. Can’t wait to update when more comes out! Keep on keepin on! I am so happy with the story progression, voice acting and sound design.

Enjoying this a lot so far. It’s got that eerie vibe of investigating a creepy mystery.

There is such a complete world created around this - so fun and I’m definitely hooked.

Theres potential here, but also maybe potential to go off the rails chasing its tail like most arg-adjacent podcasts. The sound mixing is not designed for headphones or low volume, but the actors and direction are on point.
