As a business owner who is really into self-development, I love to listen to podcasts. But so many podcasts have the same methods for marketing. This is such a refreshing and new point of view when it comes to growing a business in the world of social media and influencers.

As an artist, small business owner and communications practitioner who grapples with a lot of the issues and concepts that Amelia explores in Off the Grid, I am constantly finding encouragement, support and inspiration in this podcast! It’s a true gem, and a much-needed voice in the world of marketing one’s work!

I think we’re all getting sick of social media, and this show always gets me thinking about how I can do less of it (or maybe someday leave it all together). Really inspiring!

I have been slowly moving my business away from the soul sucking social media rat race and it’s not suffered at all! In fact, I’m making more because I have more time to devote to the actual business and people who find what I offer useful. To be honest, it’s not a niche that needs typical social media. I see that now. (Btw, I don’t think YT is social media!) But, I want to start a new business..one that I felt like needed the typical social media platforms so I’ve put it off because I didn’t want to go that route to try and build it. I’m grateful to this podcast because I’m feeling confident that I may not have to use it at all! Thank you for putting so many great ideas out there and for all the interesting guests!! This is so inspiring and I’m excited to start the slow build of my new business adventure!

As a small business owner, I often feel in the dark about my finances. I just listened to the April monthly forecast episode, and I soooo appreciated Amelia’s transparency about Softer Sounds’ finances in Q1. It was so helpful to hear the context and the breakdown. What a refreshing voice breaking through all the “hustle harder” noise.

I have been diving in to this podcast over the last few weeks and am learning so much about how to navigate my business in new ways. I am currently still on social media but curious to explore other ways to get my work out there and create a supportive business that doesn’t include me burning myself out in the process. I really love this show, the host is bold and brilliant. I’ve made moves in my budding business that I would’ve never thought of on my own. My only qualm is, as someone who’s neurodivergent with debilitating misophonia, there are soooo few podcasts that I can listen to because of sharp, hissing “s” sounds. A lot of people might not notice it, but it makes it nearly impossible to listen all the way through an episode :( I usually don’t include this in reviews, but figured i could since this is essentially for a podcast production studio. Maybe it can improve with the help of technology. Thanks again for all of the content you put out!
