    Amelia’s podcast is so needed!
I was feeling exhausted by social media and Amelia showed up in my world like a godsend at the perfect time. I’ve been off social media for 2 years now and was able to navigate my exit smoothly thanks to Off the Grid and the Leaving Social Media toolkit she has put together. Thank you, Amelia ❤️

    So refreshing!
As a business owner who is really into self-development, I love to listen to podcasts. But so many podcasts have the same methods for marketing. This is such a refreshing and new point of view when it comes to growing a business in the world of social media and influencers.
  • Double Peace
Excellent inspirational resource for small biz owners and artists!
As an artist, small business owner and communications practitioner who grapples with a lot of the issues and concepts that Amelia explores in Off the Grid, I am constantly finding encouragement, support and inspiration in this podcast! It’s a true gem, and a much-needed voice in the world of marketing one’s work!

    One of my favorite shows
I think we’re all getting sick of social media, and this show always gets me thinking about how I can do less of it (or maybe someday leave it all together). Really inspiring!

    The best biz advice
Off the Grid is one of my favorite resources for all things business related. I started tuning in for the marketing advice, but over time I’ve learned so much more about navigating life as a small business owner from Amelia and her guests. Thanks y’all!

Always tuning in - feel connected, understood and inspired with each episode
I’m not sure how I found Off The Grid or Amelia’s work but I am so so glad the life led me to her. As someone that is not a super fan of social media her podcast was a fresh breath of air in a sea of marketing strategies and tips that always involved social media. She is a delight to listen to and curates content that leaves me always feeling more motivated and connected to myself and others out there trying to do business differently. Thank you Amilia! Also can say if you love this podcast it’s 100% worth becoming a member of The Clubhouse pod and exploring the Interweb group.

    Amelia is a guide
This pod is very informative, grounded, real, and yet it delights and brings together so many disciplines and perspectives to inspire us to stay connected to ourselves in a deeper way and therefore more connected to others. It's so helpful on all levels!

    soooo good!
energetic sovereignty is what I knew I needed but couldn’t name! Amelia is so related and I love all the intersections she makes in this podcast. I binged 6 episodes today oops! Hehe Ty Amelia for making something so so special!!

    Thank you!!
I have been slowly moving my business away from the soul sucking social media rat race and it’s not suffered at all! In fact, I’m making more because I have more time to devote to the actual business and people who find what I offer useful. To be honest, it’s not a niche that needs typical social media. I see that now. (Btw, I don’t think YT is social media!) But, I want to start a new business..one that I felt like needed the typical social media platforms so I’ve put it off because I didn’t want to go that route to try and build it. I’m grateful to this podcast because I’m feeling confident that I may not have to use it at all! Thank you for putting so many great ideas out there and for all the interesting guests!! This is so inspiring and I’m excited to start the slow build of my new business adventure!

    Love the transparency!
As a small business owner, I often feel in the dark about my finances. I just listened to the April monthly forecast episode, and I soooo appreciated Amelia’s transparency about Softer Sounds’ finances in Q1. It was so helpful to hear the context and the breakdown. What a refreshing voice breaking through all the “hustle harder” noise.

The podcast I need right now!
I have been diving in to this podcast over the last few weeks and am learning so much about how to navigate my business in new ways. I am currently still on social media but curious to explore other ways to get my work out there and create a supportive business that doesn’t include me burning myself out in the process. The host, Amelia is refreshingly transparent and offers so many gems in each episode. I am definitely downloading the rest of the season!

Business school for smart folks with heart
Amelia is so smart, so thoughtful, and so open with resources and her process of growing a business (and reconsidering growth as a strategy). She truly embodies radical generosity. I’m always filled with ideas after listening, like I would be after a convo with a great friend. (I also love Amelia’s interview style and how she so beautifully synthesizes what her guests say—really helps me process all the auditory lessons.) This is my favorite podcast, and the podcast I didn’t know I needed: one that reaffirms a self-made career path that centers people and connections while and supports the whole, living, breathing life of the person behind the business. Business as supportive life structure, built by hand. Thank you, Amelia. 💜

    Just what the doctor ordered
I am subscribed to Lauren Ash’s email list and I’m so glad that I am. Her episode was super resonate and has inspired and affirmed me in ways I truly needed. I am also now going down many a rabbit holes as a result of listening to this podcast, including listening to Multi-Passionate Mastery which has also been affirming.

Soothes my soul and gives me hope (and direction!
This podcast is what I always come back to when I’m feeling lost or overwhelmed. It’s practical, soulful and always on point. I feel less alone in my disorganized attachment relationship to social media and business, and am on my way to clarity and healing because of it.

Can’t stop telling people about it
If there is one podcast that I cannot stop recommending, it’s this one! Amelia’s insights about leaving social media are what helped me delete Instagram is 2022 and never look back. Now it’s been a full year that my and my business have been off of social media and we are both THRIVING as a result. Do yourself a favor and start from season one, and enjoy binging the entire show. 💖🥂

As a Digital Content Strategist, I Wish Everyone Would Listen To This!
I’m a digital content strategist and copywriter for justice-minded small business owners (one of my clients recommended this podcast to me). After listening to just one episode, I wish all of my clients (and anyone who owns a business who is struggling with social media and online marketing) would take a listen. Amelia is so smart, inviting, non-judgmental and easy to listen to. What she is saying is the truth: while social media or digital marketing may be a necessary evil, we need to recognize the ways that it promises to yield successes for us that can actually hold us back, waste our time and damage our mental health. I’m excited to listen to all the episodes! I feel affirmed in a lot of what she says as a professional, but as someone who has an online business myself, I learn a lot as well. Amelia, I see your radical generosity in the education and insights you provide. Thank you!

    Social media, shmocial media
My go-to source when I need some inspiration to follow my gut and not the latest “absolutely necessary” online marketing advice. Amelia’s vibe is gentle and supportive without glossing over the realities of breaking away from the socials - just the right guide for the journey to something better. I’m also a big fan of her other podcast, the Softer Cast!
  • Elizabeth Emer
    Just. So good!
I’m so inspired!! I’ve been a small business owner for 6 years and don’t necessarily struggle with social media and the algorithm but have been looking for creative ways to market and expand my business. This is it!! this is truly some of the richest business and marketing advice I have gotten in all that time.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  • Mollyrosefree
    So helpful!
I love this podcast, it has helped me reframe my relationship with social media and think more broadly about how I can market my business in ways that feel fun, creative, and community-oriented. The Season 2 episode on content marketing especially hit home for me! Thanks Amelia for giving voice to some really wonderful insights and ideas for how to sustain a life and business without social media!
  • Amberleigh164
    Great advice!
This podcast is a quick listen that’s power-packed with good info. The host is using the strategies she promotes which makes it even more interesting.

    Fabulous Resource!
I’m so glad I was directed to this podcast and all of the resources that Amelia provides on her website!
  • Jenn Gray
    So glad I found this!
I am absolutely loving this show!! I recently started a podcast and was determined to market it without social media because I’ve found social media to be such a time and energy vampire in the past. Most people I know have doubted that it’s possible to have any meaningful level of success with social media, so this is such a breath of fresh air! Amelia is an inspiring joy to listen to, and I’m excited to learn more from her!
  • nlucia111
Priceless content, I always look forward to listening!
I really love this show, the host is bold and brilliant. I’ve made moves in my budding business that I would’ve never thought of on my own. My only qualm is, as someone who’s neurodivergent with debilitating misophonia, there are soooo few podcasts that I can listen to because of sharp, hissing “s” sounds. A lot of people might not notice it, but it makes it nearly impossible to listen all the way through an episode :( I usually don’t include this in reviews, but figured i could since this is essentially for a podcast production studio. Maybe it can improve with the help of technology. Thanks again for all of the content you put out!

    Empathetic, Fun + Actionable
This podcast does such an incredible job of taking something we all dream about (like how to have more offline freedom) + and still run a successful and creative business. Amelia has made this super actionable as well as really looking at the complexity of the whole topic — a rare gift for appreciating both the big + little picture of such a nuanced issue. Listeners can feel encouraged + empowered that there isn’t just one way to have a business online and it can be a fun, meaningful journey ✨🎧
  • Acknowledge Wellness
    So helpful and inspiring!
This podcast has helped me reimagine how I can do business away from social media. As someone who recently started a business a year ago, I can already feel depleted from social media and growing a following there. Listening has given me more energy towards my business so thank you for all you’ve shared so far! Looking forward to hearing more.
  • ashleygartland
    Great message for these times
In the past few years, I’ve lost track of how many times clients have told me they want to quit social media because almost all of them share this secret wish. I love that this podcast will now serve as a resource to support them through their fears and show them they can really get off “the grid”.
  • MoRyan22
Inspiration with tangible and fun ideas to implement
I love listening to Amelia’s insights on business and social media. I find her honest, creative and outside the box insights so refreshing and grounding. She’s so transparent, compassionate and generous. I walk away from each episode inspired with tangible ideas to put into action!
  • taylorelysemo
    Practical, empathetic, and fun!
This podcast shows you that marketing without social media is possible but doesn’t make you feel bad for having been on social. Recommending this to all my business owner friends who call Insta a necessary evil.
