You don’t get to dust off an old book and just assume it’s true. You have to verify with outside sources. Did it ever occur to you that Shriners made up their origin story, (like every other dumb cult?) to seem more powerful and interesting than they are? All you conspiracy theorist dupes should take a year off and do intensive talk therapy with the goal of discovering why you have a desperate need to believe you know more than everyone else about how reality functions. What formative trauma(s) did you sustain to make you feel so helpless that you need to pretend the world is controlled by secret powerful entities so that you are absolved from ever having to make an effort to change things for the better? What can one little person do against the big, bad, scary Illuminati anyway? Grow up. Or don’t.

Was coined by atheist Richard Dawkins in 1976 in one his early books and he defines it as a half thought idea or something that to effect.

How convenient of the lecturer to site one phrase from the Bible about Jesus saying (paraphrase) that all should live from Matthew 23 but leaving out that when Jesus returns HE will “…rule with a rod of iron.” The lecturer was talking about Israel defending itself. A wise person once said: “If you are kind to the cruel, be prepared to be cruel to the kind.”

It’s getting difficult to find people who stay true. Thank you!
