    Sigh..
It’s a great story telling podcast and the host is great, but be warned.. you might feel aggravated with the story because essentially it’s about a bunch of white women with too much time on their hands.

Follow this show if you love previews
Be sure to follow this show if you want to get irrelevant “previews” in your feed that have got to be close to outnumbering the amount of actual episodes this show has put out.

    Fun
I enjoyed this so much! It was a fun listen. It also reinforced my intuitive eating decision. I had to laugh at parts where they talked about all the math with calculating calories, fiber, etc. Way too relatable. These crazy rich instagram influencer gals just crack me up! 10/10 recommend.

Felt Like I Was Listening to Pre-Teen Drama
I could not get through the 1st 15 min. Even though the subject matter was pretty serious, the presentation made me feel like I was listening to a pre-teen drama.

    Couldn’t make it through
I’m surprised to hear that people enjoyed the host. She’s the main reason I’m dropping this show. She really gets in the way of understanding and caring about what is actually happening (and isn’t funny at all?). Just couldn’t handle it anymore even though I was curious about the story itself.

    Pretty good!
The pod held my attention and I found it to be very interesting. Great job! 🤩

Could have been summed up in a tweet
They somehow took a subject that could have been as short as a tweet and turned it into a podcast season. Half of each episode was warnings, ads and no substance. The hosts are super annoying and took what could have been an interesting podcast and did nothing with it. I feel dumber after listening to this.
  • I like music but....

i love this show so much. 12/10 stars

Great content but annoying sound effect
Interesting, entertaining with a great host. BUT please get rid of at least some of the beep notifications. It is an effective sound effect at first, but is grating when it is done multiple times in an episode.

    Casey Wilson Should Host Everything
Seriously the best host and her humor worked perfectly with this topic. It’s wild to me that this was a social media war about fiber powder. I found myself siding with everyone except Tonya for the unfair reason of her having the voice of a goose in labor thus making her very painful to listen to. I doubt her products are properly vetted but there are hundreds of products in the weight loss industry that are not proven. All this proved to me is that we will never escape diet culture as long as there is money to be made off of it. Episode 7 was pointless and offered no resolution

    It was ok 🤷🏾‍♀️
Typically not knowing the people involved wouldn’t make a difference if I enjoyed a podcast or not but I just couldn’t care about these women’s drama. I did finish the story but come the end I just felt like I wasted my time.
  • Never Social Media
    Delusional
These Gellis girls are completely out of touch If these people had such terrible experience from the diet why would they not handle it themselves?? Why sending their concerns to a girl who uses “ like” after every word?!
  • epbeme002
    Anticlimactic
No real resolution to the story. I expected for the host to obtain F Factor products to be tested but that never happened. Mostly just he said/she said with no hard facts.

    I’m in it for Casey
The women in this story reminded me of high school mean girls. But you know who was awesome? Casey. She could talk about moss and I’d listen to the whole season. She is too cute and funny.

    Love Casey
I don’t listen to Wondery for high-minded news analysis… it’s effectively the People magazine of podcasts. But inside of that genre, sometimes it’s nice to have a host who also knows it’s silly celebrity fun and winks at it. Casey does this in her own comedy and I love that she brought that to this podcast. It’s great, and pretty much the only reason I finished this nonsense of a story
  • Cheyudhjd
Okay but what was the point?
No satisfying ending. Interesting at first, but kind of goes nowhere. Didn’t love the host jokes.

    Engaging but answers
Never found out if F Factor was healthy, no resolution. Was Ingrid really behind the anon accounts? When do they go to court? The host was super condescending towards her own show. It feels very unfinished.

Great story telling, makes me glad I don’t live in the social networking world. The lesson I learned- just because you read something on internet it might not be true.

Entertaining but a little weak on investigative work
I’m biased toward loving deep investigations of scams and the fall of egotistical “visionaries,” so my review is also biased. Was entertaining but does not look into the DEEP issues of power, white supremacy (“They wouldn’t have come after me if I was non-white and poor.” - Tanya), and extreme privilege - on BOTH (all?) sides.
  • Rabidly disgruntled
    Not worth it
There’s not much story here, and what there is is told in a disjointed way. They overuse the sound effects. Casey Wilson was great, though. Maybe the next project will be more worthy. And Tanya… What an annoying human being.

I can never get that time back
I thought it was gonna be shocking in some way, or serious, but it was so petty and boring.

I really liked the podcast till I decided to read the comments.
I was really enjoying the show and I wanted to see what other people were saying about it. You guys have mainly 5 star reviews but the comments are all from people who have strong opinions on the narrators. I don’t know how they got got such strong options from people they know nothing about but now i wish I never read the comments. Cuz when I would continue listening to the pod, it was now through the lens of those really upset-for-no-reason people. I’m gonna take a break from listening and come back when I can forget them. Great show. See you in like 2 months. P.S. I wouldn’t be mad if you deleted those people who just hate the hosts of the show. Cuz just like me, they know nothing about them.

Great show but host is so condescending
This was a great show. But Casey’s tone the entire time was like all of the people involved in this messy situation are the biggest morons on earth. The condescending tone, and just the way that she narrated the whole thing and made it sound like she thought these people were the scum of the earth. Very judgmental and a holier than thou attitude. I would have enjoyed a little more unbiased narration and not some thing so passive aggressive, and condescendingly gross.

Host is good but story is boring
watching these two women fighting feels like belittling women in someway.

    Fed Up
This really had no point and was way below the level of interesting entertaining content I have come to expect from Wondery.

    Love narrator
Love narrator & host Casey. But I’m with you, what people eat is so boring. Thing is we all know someone who is buying the latest fad, this was just a reminder that it’s all junk. I vote for more podcasts hosted by Casey!!!

    Obnoxious
This was a waste of time.
  • Its over now
    And we care…why?
This story plays out all the time with “influencers” and supplement companies spouting claims and hooking their “communities” on fad diets not backed by a MEDICAL DOCTOR. This story lacked meat and purpose. Just another daily tale of Instagram trolls and feuds.

    A whole lot of nothing
I absolutely love Casey Wilson and she does an amazing job narrating this podcast. The problem is the story. There is no one to root for, no one to feel bad for (why do I care about women on fad diets who end up with minor health issues after choosing to put a non-FDA approved chemical in their bodies as a “quick” way to lose weight?) and NO resolution. I cannot stress enough that if you are looking for an end to this story, you will not get one here. The worst part is that the producers themselves don’t even look for answers or try to substantiate claims on either side. This isn’t investigative journalism, it’s just telling people about something that’s been reported on by others. The premise seems great and you go in really looking for a juicy story and you get… dribble. I want so much more for Casey Wilson. Seriously, don’t waste your time.

    Bad
A synopsis of one of the major issues today. Self proclaimed experts with no expertise and no understanding of science. People with low self esteem begging for affirmation online. People who thrive on drama sniping or posting anonymously. Meanwhile this podcast joins in on the action. Yech.

    Just Stupid
This whole podcast is just stupid, vapid and a massive, annoying waste of time. This is why I don’t waste my time on social media.
  • shebunleashed
    Wholly unsatisfactory
The show is well produced and the host has great energy, but there is no story here. The entire show is literally just two wealthy, white Instagram influencers arguing for 6 episodes. I don’t understand how Wondery thought they had enough content here for a full podcast
  • sadiernew
    Rich ladies complaining
Just a bunch of angry rich wyt ladies freaking out about petty stuff. Lots of disordered eating. Bookended by five minutes of ads, so episodes are only 15 minutes long.
  • MusicalCrab
    Like, LITERALLY, so bad.
The host does her best to make this an engaging story, but everyone she interviews is vacuous, vapid, and believes they are far more interesting than they actually are. If I hear one more person say “um”, “like”, or “literally” I will literally vomit. Also, each 26-minute episode has perhaps 10 minutes of ads, so is just as bloated as the people it covers.
  • aeriellane
Can’t believe i wasted my time.
I thought this would be good but it gave us no information. Barely enough story to make a podcast out of it. Save your time and skip.

    I need more
When will get to find out it all turns out? I am hooked 😊
  • saljohar
    Love host
The host was great. But listening to these vapid, shallow, emotionally immature women fight over something so ridiculous? God almighty. It’s why I won’t watch the Housewives franchise or the Kardashians.
  • vakirtzis
    About F-Factor diet :
In the early 1980 or so asked a young man for this book . He said “we don’t carry those kind of books here !! Get facts of medical nature from a trusted source . My husband and I laughed (no porno section 🤣) in our tiny bookstore 😎
  • Aimatron83
Host is the only reason to listen
The subject matter is so ridiculously stupid. The host does her damndest to make it interesting, but the two women the podcast covers don’t deserve our attention. Honestly, the whole feud is probably manufactured between them just to generate media like this. Don’t waste your time.
  • Luckybugs
    Well produced, but stupid storyline
This podcast is very well produced, however the storyline is so dumb. Basically takes some vapid girl drama between competing wanna be influencers over the “villain’s” product and tries to make it into a big drama.
  • jme737
    Casey Wilson made this pod
You could not have picked a better person narrate this pod. It would have been just ok without Casey and her classic inflections. Ah-mazzing job. I knew absolutely zip about any of this and now I know it all.
  • grizzle9400612
    No substance
I’m left waiting for the conclusion or punchline for this show. It’s like listening to the audio of a Real House Wives episode with less drama/entertainment factor. I feel like there was so much more to explore with the subject matter (perils of fad dieting, how easily misinformation balloons on social media) that was a missed opportunity.
  • krispykrispskrisp
    Disappointing and shallow story
This was a well produced show, but other than recounting the overly dramatic cyber fighting of overly selfish people - there wasn’t actually a point? The didn’t even spend time talking about if you should or shouldn’t eat a lot of fiber…from anyone educated on it. It was a scrounging up of something that maybe seemed like a good story to tell but ultimately just wasn’t.
  • Robin0879
    LOL
I just came here to laugh at Tanya’s obvious review. She is everything that is wrong with American culture.
  • akosc0022
If you spend your life watching reality TV, this is for you
Otherwise you won’t be able to make it through all the episodes because you realize that basically everyone introduced is a scam artist and a horrible person
  • I want 2 coins
    Missed opportunity
I thought this would be a fun and interesting dive into a part of social media in unfamiliar with. I did not expect to like all the people involved. However, the narrative and story design really shot itself in the foot. It was so difficult to keep track of everyone because the timeline of the story was unclear and they used several names for the same people at different times. And the narrator seemed to try too hard to make some people heroes and others villains. Their actions rarely inspired sympathy and would’ve been much better to just acknowledge this upfront. This could have been a really interesting look at a very insular world and how these online spaces regulate themselves. But it ended up just being a jumbled mess of names and gossip. Some actual objective fact checking would’ve helped a bunch.

Writing is fine, Characters are awful
I have no beef with the writers and host; the story was well presented and produced. But the subject matter? If I never hear the word “influencer” again, it will be too soon. What a horrid, vapid, materialistic group of humans. 🤮 I don’t have anyone like this in my life, and my life is in no way improved by having learned they exist.
  • El Dopo
Casey is the only good thing
This story is dumb gossip and rumors from unsympathetic people.
  • TX down under
    So shallow and so Mellenial
Love the host, and her narrative; but just couldn’t handle everyone else in the podcast, and the entire scenario. I feel Thile stories this this are all that is wrong with America, couldn’t listen past the third episode Again, love Casey, hate almost to even leave a bad review
