the first time listening to guy raz his style feels appealing
by the second instance it’s become so hackneyed and predictable, the irritating long winded presumptuous leadups to the mundane queries, always building in this idea of “guy raz, the most well informed and diligent questioner on the planet, so thoughtful and always full of every bit of research required of a worthy reporter”….. he’s so insipid, scripting the answer while narrating the tedious question, when put off by an unexpected reply taken to simply ignoring it, as tho a reprimand to the lowly subject: “how dare u try to contradict me over my genius psychological analysis of u!” oh well, the ‘how I built it’ series having run its course it’s only fitting he’d turn to more high-profile hollywood types in an attempt to enhance his cache

    Needs more diversity
This show is one of my favorites but it skews heavily white with the talent and the people profiled. Yes there are a few examples of people of color on the episode but why do we have to scroll back so far to find those episodes? Would love to see more diverse voices featured on this otherwise amazing podcast.

    Educate me Guy
I guess I did a review on this show already but after listening to the show on Jewel, I have to add again. If you aspire to do anything in life, this show will be a great tool for inspiration, ideas, and support. Guy and his guests have a way of making you feel like your not alone. Anyone of his shows will inspire. Have a listen you won’t be disappointed. Honestly, I never knew Stephen Colbert… at all. What an incredible story he is. Thank you both for living fearless lives and sharing how you have overcome obstacles by accepting who you are, then stepping into the void. I look forward to discovering what Stephen does and who Guy interviews next. Thank you for what you do!

    Mixed Feelings
On one hand, I love the diverse and prolific range of guests that Guy attracts. On the other, his interviewing style has some quirks that bother me and lessen the quality of the interview. I can sum it up with one word: "Yeah." As the guest speaks, especially if it's something awkward or profound, Guy Raz says "yeah" at regular intervals. This is a normal vocal tic in a telephone call to let the other party know that you're there and listening. But in a podcast it serves to persistently interrupt the guest with... nothing. It adds nothing, makes it impossible to archive clips of audio, and can even feel inappropriate during confessional or challenging moments. "I struggled with drugs--" "Yeah." --and nearly divorced my wife--" "Yeah." "--but I made it through my dark times." "Yeah." He asks great questions and does great research, but yeah.

    Simply amazing
You cannot go wrong with Guy. The best in the industry by far. This show is great because humans are creators and in many occasions we can all relate. Get the best insight from other great creators here.

    A Phony Libtard Slips Up
I have loved Guy’s business shows for years. He has been politically neutral and clearly professional seeing as these founders and CEO’s are obviously not of hegemonic liberal stock. He navigates the business world perfectly. This new show isn’t as great overall (I had no idea Kenan and Ben Gibbard were so boring to talk to), and Guy has gotten way too comfortable and self-referential (don’t drop that you’ve done 25,000 interviews in the presence of TOM HANKS), but this Seth Meyers episode clearly paints a picture that Guy doesn’t produce for conservatives, and Seth has no interest in being funny for them either. Being anti-Trump isn’t unique or funny. LIBTARDED IDEOLOGICAL HEGEMONY IS NOT FUNNY. GET OUT OF YOUR BUBBLES, MEN! Also, Trump is hilarious, and clearly Guy Raz has no sense of humor. I had no idea that we approach comedy through a political lens!!! -SamanthaofDC

    Please stop the background music
This is a fantastic podcast! He is a wonderful interviewer and has great guests. But….. part way in this background music starts that is sooo distracting. What does it add? Would be perfect without it. Thanks! 😀

    My new favorite podcast
I’ve always loved How I Built This — Guy Raz is the consummate interviewer, fueled by curiosity, kindness, and beyond thorough preparation. I also love how he aligns himself with the listener, and asks questions I would want to ask in his shoes. The Great Creators goes beyond How I Built This to talk about craft with people who have so much insight to offer. LOVED the Tom Hanks and Audra McDonald episodes and highly recommend the latest, with Jason Sudeikis. Thanks for this wonderful contribution, Guy!

Guy’s truly an easy and most insightful interviewer
Guy Raz is really an insightful interviewer, he manages to open up reveals of an interviewee effortlessly and with their willing consent . Just take a listen. His range of subjects - super interesting and a great departure from the moment by moment bombardment of “ Unprecedented breaking news”. Loved his Graham Nash, I appreciate his artistry even more to Jason Sudeikis of SNL and Ted Lasso fame. Sudeikis himself thanks Guy Raz for the experience of the interview. That says it all!!!!

    Brilliant interviews
At this point, Guy’s interview style has me so enraptured, he can make me interested in anything he’s talking about. However, as a visual artist, this subject grabbed my attention immediately. I’m hooked, and am finding so much inspiration in these stories.

    Thoughtful interviews.
Guy’s questions are alway well-thought out and interesting. But, best of all, he lets the guests really talk and share their stories. I love hearing what inspires creative souls.

    So good
So good even when I assume a certain guest will not be interesting. It is!

Not your ordinary celebrity interview show
Guy Raz does it again. The Great Creators is a thoughtful and inspiring deep dive into the lives of some of the most celebrated artists on the planet. Guy really gets below the surface to really understand how these artists overcame failures and obstacles to get where they are. After listening to several episodes, I found myself approaching my own life a bit more creatively.

    Inspiring and empowering show!
I’m not sure what I was expecting with a new celebrity interview-style show, but I wasn’t expecting to be as moved and inspired as I am entertained. Every episode has detailed insights into the artist’s life and journey, with lessons and takeaways from each. My favorite moments so far have been learning tidbits that completely surprised me, like when Graham Nash sang an original song or Weird Al Yankovic talked about how he got his name. Sigourney Weaver describing her reasons for acting was so energizing! Can’t wait to see who’s next.

Guy delivers an interview like no other.
I am enjoying these conversations so much. It’s been so inspiring learning about the career paths and personal journeys of some of the most talented actors and musicians of our generation. Guy delivers an interview like no other. Thank you for this amazing master class in creativity and perseverance.

    Inside the Actors Studio-quality interviewing
Inspiring for anyone looking to become a little more creative. Guy’s interviewing style is second to none, and I love hearing about the “hero’s journey” (setbacks, triumphs, etc.) of successful musicians and performers. Keep it up!

I love learning about people so this podcast is good for me❤️ .

    How boring
The first episode that I heard was Guy interviewing Colbert. One unfunny, boring leftist interviewing another unfunny boring leftist about how hard it is to spew leftism disguised as unfunny comedy. How completely droll and boring. Skip this one, it’s not worth your time.

    Master Class for Creators
I am a voiceover & on-camera actor + own a voiceover studio. This podcast is now at the top of my must-listen list! The lessons I’ve already learned + the encouragement from creative journeys is truly a master class. Thank you Guy & the rest of the crew!

    Guy, is the guy!
Interesting, great questions and allowing your guest to speak. Just listened to Audra McDonald, who is an amazing person I have listened to on other podcasts, and learned even more ways to admire her. Great job!
