    Solid stuff
They talk about football in a NOT SHOUTING hot takes skip bayless kind of way. Actually smart guys who bring up good points both stats wise and talk about futures / Xs and Os. Have made money making some bets after listening to some episodes

    Unique Football Perspective
The combo of data driven thinking and experience in an NFL organization as a decision maker makes the pod stand out. Appreciate the humility of both Eric and Thomas to have strong opinions while understanding that there are limitations to doing things solely their way (modeling and traditional scouting respectively). Some of the most informative football conversations out there. Stats and schemes is also an incredibly valuable listen.

    Just ok
Does Eric get paid for every use of the word “right?” If not, he ought to watch it. I lost count at 1k during the most recent podcast.

Best episode yet + a couple questions
Your most recent podcast onsack percentage by quarterbacks and offensive line play and what matters pass, blocking versus run blocking, was easily one of my favorite podcasts on the show yet! I loved hearing back and forth from Eric and Thomas, I appreciate them talking about these ideas in real time, and Erik, being more of himself, from what I remember, in his PFF days. The ability to be passionate about your opinion, and still be respectful of the other person I really appreciate. If you accept any questions, I’d love for you to break down in further detail this conversation you had today. Does the data show consistency in sack percentage from college too the NFL? Is this a predictor we can trust as we look at draft prospects? Also, I feel like the chiefs are a great example of your run blocking idea with drafting guys like creed Humphrey and Trey smith in the 2nd and 4th rounds. But also how do you explain the packers year in and year out getting incredible pass blocking production from non high pedigree prospects, there issue though is they struggle as a run blocking unit every year. Examples include Rasheed Walker 7th, Yosh Nijman undrafted, Zach Tom 4th, JRJ 6th, Josh Myers Bakhtiari, and Elgton Jenkins 2nd. The packers are always a top pass blocking unit why?

Would rate it 10 stars if I could
This podcast has almost ruined football content for me. After listening to these guys, it’s clear that many of the other guys out there simply do not know what they are talking about. Wish they would go into more details and talk more specifically instead of in generalities, but a really great listen

    Subpar in my opinion
Lots of other options out there. Just too dry for me.

    Fantastic and incredibly insightful
Immediately a must listen in sports analytics podcasts Adding to my review - this is easily the most educational football podcast on the market. I feel like I’m learning something every episode - which is pretty unusual in this realm.

Good content but tough to listen to
I’m a big fan of good analytics discussion mixed with the traditional football context. The challenge I have with this show is the balance on this show. Eric seems to talk twice as much as Thomas, so you don’t get to hear context and nuance of some of Thomas’s points. Also, there are several times where Thomas is trying to set up a point which requires some footing before diving in, and Eric steps in and takes over not letting Thomas finish his thought. Again, I really like the content, but I’d often feels like Eric is trying to make his points as opposed to Thomas getting through his. It’s like having the friend of the group that constantly dominates the conversation.

    Iffy at best
Some of the data point are interesting but overall pretty dull analysis. This type of analysis plays much better is baseball than football. Football has such high variance and makes this type of analysis a little overrated. There’s better stuff out there. Pretty turned off by Eric Eager. Has a pompous attitude, especially on twitter.

    Love the podcast!
Question for the pod. Is there something to the idea of teams that are expecting to be “good” in a given year trading their first round pick to a team they believe will finish with a worse record in order to basically trade up in the draft before the regular season even starts. The idea boils down to this possibly being a way to trade up for a discounted price since a trade like this would happen well before the draft order is set. For instance, if I’m a tier one team like the Chiefs/Bills/Bengals/Eagles/etc. and I call up a mid-tier team like the Steelers/Patriots/Saints/Titans and I’m offering to swap first round picks (with the additional compensation to make the swap also coming from the “tier one” team of course), would that even be something the “mid-tier” team would entertain? Or would the idea of trading 1st round picks before the season not even seem acceptable or approachable? Again, the main idea is cutting down the price of the trade up, possibly giving up less draft compensation.

    Intersection of nerdy and nfl
This has quickly become one of my go to NFL podcasts . Love the dialogue around the intersection of analytics & the NFL. Really appreciate Dr. Eager’s sometimes off-the-wall questions and Thomas’s mostly very tactful responses saying that’s a really crazy take.

Most sophisticated football pod out there

    Great analysis
I love this new show. It is great to hear the Front Office perspective from TD on various issues and how Eric would go at it from an analytics view point.

    Changing the NFL
Decades from now we will look back and see how much Eric Eager impacted the entire league. Thomas gives us a look into the league that we often don’t get as consumers, a bridge between big NFL and the hardcore nerds
