SwanicyouthPretty goodI loved Dinosaur & Sebadoh since 1987. I love Lou Barlow. I figured I would hate this podcast, but I really like it

SnookimDelightfulI enjoy this podcast very much. It’s a fun little homespun trifle, the perfect length to get you through your commute. It has surprising twists and turns, musical interludes and of course, that creepy weirdo, Four Track Man.

ThisIsAComplicatedNicknameThere’s nothing like itAs with any point in time, this is a special one in which to be alive, and the existence of Lou & Adele’s podcast is just the kind of thing that could only exist right now. Having this kind of insight into their lives and minds is something special indeed. Certainly never would’ve guessed this when I saw Dino for the first time in a bar in 1988 (89?). That show changed my musical life and it’s just very cool to me that I can now hear Lou working on the 4-track and the meal plan for the week too. It feels strangely, but wonderfully, complete. Many, many thanks.

Mogprofthis podcast could be your lifeIf you are an old indie rocker there is plenty to get into here, from anecdotes to (raw!) interviews. But what this podcast is really about is the everydayness of love. Lou and Adelle are two people who really, really care for each other, letting us peek into the muddle of their everyday connection, their work on themselves, and sometimes even their great chili recipes. There’s a redemption arc here that’s hard to miss, but there’s also comfort, and regard, and ease.

NoemabitJust gimme indie talk!I’ve been listening to Lou most of my adult life and now, Lou and Adelle are my companions in domesticity: cooking dinner, cleaning the house, hiking up a mountain; they come with me everywhere and joy. Thank you both for your vulnerability, humor, and weirdness. Each episode brings me such comfort, just like Lou’s music has all these years. Go subscribe to the substack!

I love hearing the intimate acoustic performances from Lou, as well as the selections from the vault, the discussions on how songs come together and the natural flowing conversations between Lou and Adelle (with TWO L’s). Stay safe on the road and keep the podcasts coming!

SashaEZLove love love this podcast.I have been a fan of Lou Barlow for over two decades. Now I am also a fan of his partner Adelle Louise, as together they have made a wonderful podcast that is not only an always entertaining listen but also frequently moving. They make perfect foils for one another, and the also have great guests. The length of the podcast is also just right, leaving you waiting for next week’s episode. And the mini music mondays are fantastic!

Matthew WainwrightGenuinely hilariousBeen a fan of Lou’s music for decades and am well familiar with the LoFi quirkiness. his collaborations with Adells are always endearing. Was not expecting to laugh so hard though. Literal spit take when got to the Yeti ad and agin for the Honda dealer. Not to oversell it, but this is also a very funny podcast.
