Michelle is one of my favorite people!!!
Michelle offers a balanced and thoughtful approach to wellness—she has a unique ability to break down complex topics into easily digestible information, offering actionable advice that actually feels achievable. What I love most is how she debunks common myths in the diet world and encourages listeners to focus on real, personalized solutions rather than following trends. Highly recommend for anyone looking to approach wellness in a more holistic, non-judgmental way. Love ya, Michelle!

    Resonates SO much!
I found this podcast after seeing an IE (intuitive eating) dietitian and being told that I was likely going to cause my children to have an eating disorder because I didn’t have goldfish and such available in the house.. this didn’t sit right with me. I dag deeper and found some WP research about some anti-diet dietitians being sponsored/paid by the food giants and it started to make sense. Then I heard Michelle on another podcast and the rest is history :) her view was EXACTLY what I was feeling was the right approach for me. the other opinions were so black or white. Since then, I’ve been binging (pun intended) Quiet the diet and it’s just so informative, nuanced, not shaming or blaming, just clear cut info which is what nutrition information should be IMO. Keep it up, Michelle and the team!

    Wonderful podcast!
Such a great podcast, and I’ve learned so much about what health really means from it! It’s also led me to some other great practitioners! So thankful to have found it!

    hope 💜
Michelle’s podcast is a breath of fresh air. I heard her on What’s the Juice with Organic Olivia and I am so glad I did. She has validated so many of my life experiences and after YEARS and thousands of dollars, I have learned more from Michelle, Olivia, and Dr. Alexis than I ever did even working with functional medicine practitioners. I have also learned how to advocate for myself and found the courage to change providers again. I’m so looking forward to working with Michelle and her team after working with my new hypermobility PT! Who knew?!? I feel hope for the first time in years. I’m looking forward to more good days than bad in my future thanks to these women.

As someone living with MCAS in a highly sensitive body, there is minimal media I can consume that is relevant to me aside from Quiet the Diet. This and Michelle’s Instagram are currently my safe space and I am so grateful for her. Hands down my favorite podcast show 🤍

    Great resource
I heard about Michelle from probably my #1 in the health sphere, Organic Olivia 🫶🏼 so having her stamp of approval, I knew I had to listen to Michelle’s podcast. From someone who has had chronic health issues for my whole life, Michelle’s podcast has been so insightful for me in figuring out things about myself, for instance being a highly sensitive person, my newly discovered histamine issues & how the nervous system ties into everything. Highly recommend!

    Soundtrack of my walks
Quiet the Diet is a wellness security blanket in a noisy space. I look forward to coming for the science, fearless empathy, and embodied living. I’ve learned so much that I’ve been applying into my lifestyle. Love Michelle, love her guests.

    Amazing podcast
I’ve listened to almost ALL the episodes starting at the beginning and I can’t say enough how great this podcast is! It made me feel really seen by acknowledging the individuality in the health and wellness space. While something might work for one person, it might not for another. Always worth listening.

    Love This Podcast!
I found Michelle through listening to a What’s the Juice pod episode that she happened to be on that day. I instantly appreciated her take on things and started listening to her podcast! Her most recent episode with Illie is 👌🏻✨ For anyone who’s starting their health journey and not quite sure where to start, that’s an amazingly helpful and insightful episode!!

    Maybe interview an IE RD…
Huge mischaracterization of intuitive eating Registered Dietitians…a huge part of being an IE RD is counseling for chronic conditions and taking into consider nutrition science. What a shame to not have an *actual* conversation with an RD who specializes in intuitive eating…

    Please
I think this podcast could be great but I just need the host to stop interrupting and talking over their guests.

Love it for the most part!
I really love listening to Michelle and think this podcast would be helpful for most people. However, I would listen to caution. One example is that magnesium is mentioned like everyone should be taking it no matter what. While everyone does need it, if your sodium or potassium are low, mag will now help and may hurt. It’s best to start with topical and work up keeping an eye on the HTMA. For myself, I was taking mag and it caused my calcium to plummet which caused a lot of issues for me. So things like that need to be explained because potassium is also super important to get in balance with the mag and basically the four main minerals. Sometimes I feel like topics aren’t discussed as deep or thoroughly as I’d like or expect but overall it’s a great show.

Just what I’ve been looking for
I’ve been searching through podcasts to find this one! Michelle’s perspective is so refreshing and needed. Cannot recommend enough!

Passion, Clarity, Perspective, Honesty, Warmth, Humor
These adjectives are how I’d describe Michelle Shapiro, host of Quiet the Diet. She and her teammate, Nicki, deliver an empowering and very listenable/bingeable podcast that I recommend to friends and colleagues. I really appreciate Michelle’s knowledge base, but it’s her ability to honestly and accurately put all the competing voices in the health space into perspective that sets her apart. And it doesn’t hurt that she’s hilarious, so we can listen to, learn from and laugh with a podcast about nutrition and greater well-being, which is a gift as this arena can be so fraught. Thanks, Michelle — diet quieted!

    LOVE!
I have a lot of favorite podcasts but Michelle’s has to be one of my favorites to listen to. Her holistic approach to health falls in line with my line of work as a functional dietitian!

    Every Episode is 🔥
I’ve followed Michelle for a while on Instagram and only recently started listening to the podcast. With every episode I’m hanging onto every word and taking tons of notes. As someone with chronic illness, food sensitivities and a past of disordered eating habits, this content is SOOOO helpful for me. I also appreciate Michelle’s approach to nutrition. I prefer holistic but also like the science behind things, and it’s hard to find someone who is truly integrative. So far I’ve found no one else like Michelle and you can tell this is her life’s work. Each guest she’s had on has had such great, practical wisdom to share. Thank you so much for doing this podcast!
  • Jnell20
    Highly Recommend! 👍🏼👍🏼
With so many podcasts out there on “diet” & nutrition, I love that Quiet the Diet really gets into the WHY behind true health. Michelle & her guests take a holistic view of health & wellness, which is refreshing in the “lose quick” or “get skinny” mantras you see from so many other sources. Love the science! Thank you!
  • Dr.Koczab
    Great podcast 😊
I really appreciate information that is holistic and doesn’t just tell you what to eat/what not to eat and when. As a functional medicine physician, I really appreciated the episode on navigating medical appointments. The majority of patients I see have been gaslighted by the conventional medical community and I loved the advice given about how to navigate these appointments. I’d love to hear more about neuroplasticity and límbico re wiring in future episodes!
  • Elisabethw
    Essential balance
This podcast comes from such a neutral position and it makes me heart sing. They don’t ignore science, they dive into it! But they also acknowledge personal individuality, and capabilities. It’s so refreshing. I truly feel like their business is built on helping people progress and heal. It’s hard to come by. ❤️
  • lbooth65
    Wonderful
This is a really great informative podcast. I love that Michelle comes from the functional side of diet and nutrition. She believes that all foods do not work for all people and you need to find what works for you to be able to perform your best. I’m looking forward to future episodes of “Quiet the Diet”.

    The missing piece!
I work in an adjacent field, and I spend so much time thinking, “If only I could give each client a Michelle or a Nicki!” The QTD pod makes that dream a reality in a small way! Each week’s topic always shifts my feelings about the true definition of wellness and what we can strive for as we improve our own lives and the lives of others. One million stars!

    Nuanced Nutrition
This podcast is exactly what I have been looking for in my health journey. I’ve acquired so much knowledge throughout the years and heard so many conflicting opinions that I didn’t know what to think anymore. It made me want to say “F it” and just eat like crap. But these nuanced conversations are so informative and digestible and can be translated into daily life easily. It just makes sense. I’m grateful I found Michelle!

    A must listen!
I’ve been working with Michelle on and off over the years after my doctors didn’t really have answers or solutions to help me alleviate my symptoms and let me tell you, she is a godsend. I was so over the moon when she launches this podcast because I knew it would be chockful of information and tips and I was not disappointed. I wait eagerly for the next episode and you should too!

    Dense with Life Giving Information
I discovered this podcast shortly before a trip and spent a 3 hour flight soaking up as many episodes as I could get through. This podcast finally makes it all make sense!!!!! There is so much confusing misinformation out there and it seems like everyone has “research” to back up whatever it is they want supported. Michelle uses science to dispel myths and help spread scientific information to the masses that will actually benefit their health and not just support some cause. I cannot recommend this podcast enough (and have recommended to everyone I know) if you are looking for how to fuel your body they way it actually needs! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom. It has absolutely changed my mindset and my life. I can’t stop talking about this podcast!

    I feel heard!
This podcast has been so helpful to me as someone who has dealt with chronic anxiety and gut issues for years. I have experienced medical gaslighting many times over and have felt “crazy”. Listening to these episodes has brought me hope and real tools. I am enrolled in the Anxiety Proof course now and highly recommend it! Thank you, Michelle, for your work and your collaboration with so many other great practitioners who want to empower their patients. I appreciate you!

It’s what you want AND need to hear
This podcast is SO fun and informative at the same time. I admire Michelle’s commitment to speak up about hot topics in nutrition & wellness and share a much-needed perspective that sees the pros and cons of each “side” of the issues and encourages the listeners to see the truth that is often in the in-between. And it’s a heck of a fun ride during each episode! In my top weekly podcasts to listen to now.

    Love it
This podcast is a great listen if you’re curious about functional nutrition and diet. In every episode Michelle successfully breaks down scientific information in a manner that is easy to follow and understand, which I really love. It’s great to know you’re listening to a reliable source and getting tips for living your best, nourished life :)

    So many connections
Loved the episode with Dr Kachin about trauma- I took so many notes! I appreciated how he views the whole person and isn’t just making recommendations that clients may not be able to implement.

    Perfect middle ground
I’ve swung on the pendulum from restrictive diets to anti-diet. This podcast has helped me find my middle ground! I’ve learned so much about myself and my health already. So excited for more of Michelle’s expertise and nuance.

    Quiet the diet
Really enjoyed the last episode on anxiety so informative. Full of very translatable and relatable information. Such a timely topic. The current episode of binge and stress eating is such an important topic and they do an amazing job. As an outpt mental health therapist that body and mind connection is the most important tool we have to make changes. I am listening with my pen and paper ready for all the information. Thanks for this.

There is no one better than Michelle!!
Michelle is the most insightful person I’ve ever encountered when it comes to the topic of diets, weight loss, food intolerance and the general intersections of food and life. There is no one I’d rather learn from… and to get to hear from other amazing practitioners?!?? It’s a no brainer. Great listen, highly recommend.

    Informative, yet digestible (HAHAHAHA)
I’m a podcast snob, and I’m so happy to be adding Michelle’s podcast to the rotation. She has a hosting style that can’t be taught to people. It’s a wonderful mix of charisma, humor, empathy, and sheer command of her subjects. Highly recommend!

    Amazing dietician
I can’t say enough positive things about Michelle as a dietician and as a person! When I was pregnant, I failed my glucose test and was so afraid I had gestational diabetes. Michelle instantly made me feel better, reassuring me that there were healthy ways to check on and take care of my body and my baby, without totally changing my lifestyle and following a restrictive gestational diabetes diet like my OBGYN had recommended. Better yet, she didn’t make me feel any shame about the potential diagnosis and I felt so much better knowing that I had her on my team. She explained how gestational diabetes worked in clear and informative ways, making sure that I had the information about my body’s specific needs. She’s amazing to work with and I’m so glad that she finally has a podcast so that she can reach more people!

    Definitely worth your time!
I follow Michelle Shapiro on Instagram and have learned so much from her posts! I’ve been waiting for the first episode of “Quiet the Diet with Michelle Shapiro” and she did not disappoint! This episode was packed with knowledge bombs and had me nodding my head saying “YES!” so many times! Sadly, I have experienced some of what she describes with traditional medical professionals and it can be demoralizing and defeating. You walk around thinking something is wrong with you a lot of the time! I love Michelle’s whole body approach to health and the enormous respect she and her team have for their clients. You can tell she speaks from experience and her vast knowledge of functional nutrition. We’re all super busy and have endless content available but this podcast is definitely worth your time! I can’t wait for the next episode!
  • LazyShenanigans
    Glad I listened
I’ve listened to podcast after podcast on this particular subject and I was thinking should I even bother listening to another one? I’m so glad I did because it hit the nail right on the head for me. I’m thankful for the acknowledgment of wanting to lose weight and that it’s ok! I did the the intuitive eating without any guidance of how the body actually works and here I am 50lbs later and struggling with the thought of even wanting to lose weight because I “shouldn’t” want to. Looking forward to listening in the future.
