    Nauseating
I really like the concept of this podcast, but the way that they speak is so underwhelming and actually peevish that it ruins everything.

    Great artists are just people
I looooove the content and tone of this podcast. Get to know artists as people and not just mythic figures. My only complaint: the first 6 minutes of every episode is just personal banter.

    LOVE these ladies
They are fabulous. Their curiosity and passion is evident and infectious. I could listen to their beautiful voices for hours. I get a jolt of energy when a new ep drops; more please! Much obliged. Sending lots of love.

    The vocal fry
Is it satire? Is it to be funny? It’s actually causing me pain. Why are they talking like this? No one talks like this in real life.

I want to rate this higher
I love the concept sooooo much and I could even get into the vibe but in a podcast that talks about a gender bending queer icon artist, you shouldn’t refer to all women as having vaginas. Easy mistake to make for cis people (I’ve done it too) but you obviously want to attract a diverse audience so you should make them feel safe. Also the podcast was an hour long and the topic was discussed for maybe 25 min. Hard to get into an a new listener.

    I ADORE THIS PODCAST
This is officially my favorite podcast. These ladies are fun, knowledgeable and hilarious! As a woman with an art degree around the same age as the hosts, I feel like I’m chatting up art with a couple of my friends (can we be friends?!). Framing the podcast around gossipy details about each artist is genius. You really learn a different side that makes you understand the why behind their art. You aren’t going to find this anywhere else. Someone sponsor these ladies and help them quit their day jobs. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to every week or so! <3

    Great topics- hosts average
I really do like the topics that they are discussing. However, after hearing two podcasts, the banter is too much. Somehow the voices, our heart to hear. It’s too valley girl for me.

    Breaks my heart
I really wanted to like this podcast! It has such amazing potential but I just can’t get through all of the mouth noises. It’s like the hosts can’t stand the thought of not filling every inch of air with some quirky valley girl noise. It’s too bad because the content seems so interesting.

You can’t convince me this isn’t 2 cats hosting an art history podcast. 100/10

    The best ❤️
This podcast is sooo good!! Chelsea and Raquel are awesome and they always do such a good job of making the stories fun and interesting.I love feeling smart cause I know stuff about art history. it’s made museums way more interesting cause I have some basic knowledge about art. I’m a middle schooler and I don’t like history so thank you Chelsea and Raquel for making a fun way to learn about art history. :)

i really wanted to like this…
i had high hopes for this podcast- safe to say i was disappointed. the hosts have the most annoying stereotypical valley girl accents imaginable. like it almost sounds satirical. if you like listening to mindless babbling for the first 20 minutes of your podcasts than this is the show for you. they constantly bring up how they live in california and how many art galleries they go to. if you’re looking to actually learn about art and art history, this is not the podcast you want.

Glad to have found this show!
Always trying to expand my art history knowledge and this is such a fun and easy way to do that! Love these hosts, feels like gossiping with friends!

    Voices are awful
Please, please, please stop with the valley girl and other type of voices and vocal affectations. I like the substance, but can no longer stand the way in which it is delivered.

    Fun and Approachable
The gossip-framing device is silly, but it makes art history approachable. The hosts like to have fun!

Gets me through my own art homework
I am so glad I found this podcast, as an art student myself it’s amazing to hear and learn about artist in a different DRAMA filled way while I paint.

Making me lol and learn 💃
Just getting into art history for the first time, and the more I listen, the more fun it is as I’ve started getting references to all these people and this history when it comes up in other contexts and I feel like such a smarty. Chelsea and Riccelle are a good time and add a lot of helpful commentary that makes me both understand the art/its in the context they existed in at the time and also how I can think about them in more relatable terms of how they might be today. My favorite part is person at the party where they name some bonkers person we have to hear about today to help us understand how silly the artist was back in the day. I’m happy to hear the ads for your patreon and I hope the ladies both get rich from this great podcast! I can’t always tell them apart because they don’t say each others’ names out loud often and I’m bad at distinguishing voices, but that’s only an issue for recognizing them as distinct and valuable individuals and not for understanding what’s going on in the podcast most of the time.

Fun, informative introduction to art history thru artist profiles
hey gals! new listener here — i’ve binged nearly all of the episodes so far & i’ve learned a lot about art history and artists who shaped what we know about art today! i think this podcast is super fun and informative & very intro level — the tone is loosey-goosey at times, but i think it’s perfect because a lot of these artists lived dark lives / the info can be heavy at times & this keeps it from dipping too dark! — i would love to hear an episode that kind of talks about an abridged art history timeline (generally) and or an episode about y’all’s favorite artists or pieces!!! 🤍 thanks for what you do! i’ve been looking for an art history pod like this :)

I love it so much y’all
First of all it’s informative in a super understandable and digestible way, I’m able to keep track of names and facts because of the format it’s told in. The beginning part where they set the scene/mood is so well done, and lastly the hosts are incredibly funny, bounce of eachothers jokes perfectly and it feels like you’re being included in the conversation. I love the casual theming of the show and I laugh out loud constantly during each episode. I’m so excited to keep listening, it’s quickly become on of my fav podcasts.
