brookiecookie2001Great book and great podcastMuch love to you Rainn! Thank you for your book. I really loved the audiobook. Very entertaining and enlightening. I made sure to take notes. Thank you for being concise and direct. It helped me to remember the message because it wasn’t a ton of word salad to fill space.

TN MormorOn the prospects for world peaceSpeaking of empathy and compassion - I think I saw a quote of Elon Musk in which he stated that the problem with Western civilization is empathy!
-
LoveBlvdBobbi being herself! Thanks for this interview! I appreciate you Rainn. Keep being you.
-
KellyJLeeLoved Rainn - hate the podFor someone whose markets themself hard as spiritual person, Rainn podcast seems like an outlet for his own pontification. He frequently cuts off guests before they can head in interesting directions in the conversations. He also seems to be pushing a very strong agenda on his guests about faith rather than being curious and open. Anyways just not a great interviewer and even if I love the guest I find myself dissatisfied even though I wanted to like this.

L803Awesome podcast!I read rain Wilson’s book soul boom awhile ago and I was right where I needed to be on my new walk in life. I left the church a little over 7 yrs ago and never looked back. Rain Wilson’s book and now podcast is everything that I went through or currently going through. I believe that everyone’s third eyes opens when it’s time and mine did 7 yrs ago. Everything he speaks about is literally everything I question. My faith walk when I left the church”organized religion “ has changed my life and I am so grateful for this podcast because rainn is asking all the questions I have ever asked and it’s great! Thank you Rainn for leading this revolution head on. I am with you stamped and ready lol. P.S. your my favorite character ❤️

meh_00Everything!This podcast has everything! And it makes me feel warm inside and laugh and cry. Like truly 10/10! If you could do more than once a week that’d be great cuz I just need more soul content and people talking about the real things! Thanks for creating magic!

MariaMariaaaaaaaaFan of Metaphysical Milkshake and RainnI love Rainn and loved Metaphysical Milkshake. I want to like soul boom as much as I did MM, but it’s not there for me. This is giving more dude bro podcast Joe Rogan energy, which is not what I’ve come to expect from Rainn. Was listening to the episode with Ari Shaffir, and turned it off when Ari was talking about his depression and how when his ex girlfriend moved out when he was in his 20s, he stopped cleaning because she had taken over that responsibility, and once she moved out, couldn’t find the motivation to clean. This is understandable as someone who has dealt with depression, but it annoys me how dudes on poscasts will just casually say stuff like this with no reflection. Like obviously, when a girlfriend moves in with you, they will just take over the cleaning as their responsibility. Feel so bad for that girl and no wonder she moved out. It’s so triggering that dudes still view women as a live in maid for them. And even progressive, forward thinking, “woke” guys and “Allies” will still drop little nuggets like that. 🙄

Lynna_marieLove!Everything about this podcast!

KobusedConsistent qualityThe episode with Vivek Murthy was exceptionally useful. Each show is thoughtfully executed and well done

ShugaBLAMBasically spot onRainn is a spiritual seeker, whom I believe is a trustworthy individual in how he shares his findings, thinking, and curiosity. Other than baldoni’s awkward episode wherein he simply insists he’s gods gift to spirituality, unconvincingly so imo, (also, yikes and gross) this podcast is really trying to do and share the work. Rainn please consider removing blemishes on your excellent track record of episodes.
-
Pd2WellsRefreshingI truly enjoy the variety, honesty, and fresh perspectives on so many different topics. Please keep talking.
-
shesgotspiritCannot get enoughBeen binge listening since I found your podcast. One of the first podcasts I have been really excited for a new episode each week. Thanks so much for sharing your perspective and bringing great guests to the conversation too. I love the conversations that Rainn cultivates - not only listening to the wisdom of others but also asking the hard questions and digging below surface level.
-
👎🏼👎🏼⚒🛠🔨🔩⛏🔧Love this! This podcast makes my week! Please consider having Fr. Richard Rohr on the pod. He was mentioned in the episode with Fr. Greg Boyle, and I’m getting tired of hearing Rainn and Fr. Richard discuss the same topics, separately 😂🤪. Would love to hear a conversation between you both!
-
Think_22Disappointing!!Very disappointing - specifically the racist and sexist content.
-
CJLove88Bryan CranstonThe Cranston interview was hilarious. Those two have great chemistry. I was dying of laughter, but also felt informed about some cool acting techniques. I agree that Rainn needs to allow the guests more room to breathe.
-
Josefina CurryTotally Captivating!I listened to the interview with Father Greg Boyle with such admiration. Usually I am half listening to podcasts while doing other things but the conversation was truly riveting and I just sad and listened with rapt attention.
-
SobermmrnJust my opinionI was excited to listen to the interview with Anne Lamott, but came away frustrated with Rainn’s comments about himself and even telling Anne what to do and not do. It’s not his business whether she chooses to listen to msnbc or not, and the ‘young lady’ comment was so inappropriate. Probably won’t continue with this podcast.
-
hiyakaiaYes!!SO grateful for this podcast! I’ve always been a Rainn Wilson fan & have deeply admired his approach to spirituality. Always gets my mind thinking!! Love it!
-
korey.m.Authentic and IntrospectiveRainn’s podcast with Rick Glassman was one of the best I’ve ever heard. The vulnerability and truth in speaking on such topics with introspective insight is inspiring. The willingness to be genuine in a world focused on impressions and influence is refreshing.
-
LaurosilvacomHost, Learn to Shut Up!Seriously, stop interrupting your guests. You’re not funny, and you’re ruining what could be great conversations. I wish I could mute you and just listen to the guest—at least they have something worthwhile to say. Your humor is cringeworthy and your constant need to butt in is obnoxious. Learn to shut up and let your guests speak.
-
NoNickname2.2Dr? Lisa Miller? This was the biggest crock I’ve heard yet.
-
VirginiaKaySoulboom with Dr. Lisa MillerExcellent conversation about the deep subjects of source, God and the consciousness we can tap into to guide us. I read her book awhile ago and this podcast was a great reminder of the topics in her book. This podcast is so nurturing to our souls! Thank you!
-
Luna031221Excellent podcastEnlightening and just a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for a quality podcast, Rainn.

AnotherPodcastEnthusiastNot so tolerantIt’s odd where Rainn Wilson wants to inject questions a 13 year old would ask of his guests. For someone advocating for a spiritual revolution, he seems to not know that much about non-Bahai faiths. So you get people on and then ask questions/make assertions about other faith traditions that are both facile and inaccurate. He wants to be both encouraging people to ask spiritual questions and also the cool 13 year old who thinks he knows how stupid religious people and religious faith is. This podcast is a great idea, but the execution makes me squirm.
-
Kris9122IrritatingHe should just do a solo podcast if he wants to constantly talk about himself. I’ve listened to two episodes and the guests barely get a sentence out before it’s “Me, I, Rainn..”
-
aep8388Fan turned bigger fanI am an Office fan and came to the podcast knowing ‘Dwight’ and having heard heard Rainn Wilson on other podcasts I know he was spiritual. But wow. He’s having conversations about the intersection of spirituality, art, god, culturales, parenting that I am LOOKING for.
-
KyleepupSo excited!!I’m pumped! I loved metaphysical milkshake so much and I’m in love with Soul Boom the book! Really looking forward to this every week! Cheers to Rainn and his team! Editing my review: this is my favorite podcast and I’m excited for every Tuesday’s release ❤️ Much love to you, Rainne. You’ve brought me so much joy through your podcasts that my love for Dwight pales in comparison.
-
Big KiFood for thoughtWhether you agree or not, it is certainly an eye opener to the way other people think and feel. A great listen just to hear other perspectives. Really great.
-
Becc-o-ramaPlease don’t ever stop making this contentI am so intertwined and connected with each episode, that I wonder how the next one can possibly be as good. And then it is. Thank you for your open-mindedness, your candor, & your very evident ability to love other humans well. I am inspired every time I listen! ♥️
-
rantingismybestskilI look forward to it every weekMy only complaint is that I wish they were longer! Which is nuts because they are by no means short conversations lol. But honestly, I could listen for 2-3 hours every time. Keep it up Rainn!
-
Honey FoodyLove Each EpisodeJust what I was looking for. You ask all the right questions. Thank you.
-
Meatball8008Random dude from DubuqueHey Rain, big fan of the podcast and I am literally some random fan from Dubuque listening lol

EmmyjgOut of touchThe episode with Johnathan Haidt was super out of touch. It felt like the classic “older generation hates the newer generation for made up reasons.” Needless to say, it was incredibly disappointing for these two guys to complain about boys being “too sensitive” and “need to play with sticks” and “maybe we should bring back real bullying.” The assertion that progress is being made to go in the direction of being more humane and emotionally intelligent is damaging to youth and the reason young people are depressed is… just tone deaf. The whole episode was weirdly and unpredictably misogynistic and reductive. You’d think a podcast about spiritual enlightenment wouldn’t involve so much whining about youth caring for each other and the good of the world. I’d hope that two guys born in the 60s would have had enough time to mature passed generation wars and superiority complexes. I’d hope Rainn is willing to discuss spirituality and it’s part to play in the game of mental illness among younger generations in order to understand that life IS more difficult for gen z/millenials simply because we just have so much more information than people born in the 60s had. Bottom line: young people aren’t doomed because of the internet and because we care about social issues. We’re doomed because previous generations want to relish the good-ol’-days while yelling from their porch instead of helping.
-
Char_victRefreshing I love itFrom the deep insights of Serj from System of a Down to office moments with Angela and Creed, this podcast is worthy. Love this podcast and look forward to many more to come. 5 out of 5 stars

LemurQueenAmes13My soul went boomThis podcast IS for everyone, and I don’t say that lightly. There is something in each episode for every single person alive, spiritual/religious or not. Anyone who dislikes Soul Boom or gives it a bad review… well, they need it the most.
-
angiebowi3I NEED THIS PODCASTRainn! I am so grateful for this podcast! I’ve loved every discussion & guests on the show. I feel validated, motivated, excited. I’ve worked hard with mindfulness and spirituality to heal from BPD & PTSD. Mindfulness has turned my life around and I think these topics of discussion and sharing the importance of mindfulness is SO IMPORTANT! I love art, vulnerability, culture, history, religion, and abstract thinkers, this is perfect for me! Thanks Rainn and take care!
-
Keala808loveSoul boom has quickly became one of my favorite podcast!Thank you Rain for again working to make something both educational, relatable, and with some comedic relief! I can’t wait for each new episode to come out. I especially appreciated how you pushed back on some arguments Jonathan Haidt made. As a young Millennial almost a Gen Z I appreciate how realistic and thoughtful toward our generations you seem to be Rain. My husband and I are huge fans thank you again!

bekahzzzzzqpeiAmazing!!I always listen to podcasts about murder🤷♀️ Who knew we needed this!! So happy to listen to something so meaningful ❤️

KShaw1984To cash361I think we all have something to share where others can learn from us. Mr. Wilson does not need to get a formal degree in religious studies. Have you ever heard of life experience? Learning to think for yourself is the real education needed today. His timely topic of spirituality and not religion is what is needed in this sleeping society. How long are we going to be religious and continue to live in a way that is NOT beneficial to mankind? We are stuck in a world where every man is out for themselves. That can’t be the way. Let’s get back to the basics with an open mind. Listen to what Mr. Wilson has to say. Let’s think for ourselves and not how we were taught to think. What’s the worst thing that could happen? Respectfully submitted

Cash361Go back to schoolI have been one of your biggest fans since 6 feet under and really appreciate your mind. However, despite your commitment to the Bahi religion and spiritual searching, I think it would really help you a lot if you simply went back to school and got an MA in religious studies somewhere. You need to study comparative religions in the university setting. It would advance your thinking so much. I am a retired unitarian universal minister.

CatherineJenningsRefreshingLovely podcast. The content, the cadence, the guests; all 10/10. So thrilled to have found this and the book.
-
j16946Rainn…pull yourself together manFunny how in the religious episode with Thema, Rainn specifically says that he doesn’t want to bring up controversial issues on the podcast… and then 5 min later talks about the importance of paying blacks reparations for things that white ancestors did to black ancestors. I am an absolute believer in inter-generational trauma. However, white ancestor mistakes have their own karma to repair. White descendants should not be required to make reparations for things they didn’t do.
-
boomer and proud of itGood for you, buddyI’m happy to see these topics get more airwaves space since you are a TV celebrity guy. Keep up the good work.

The Belgian FriarI Love the Rainn is DoingI’m en episode and a half in and loving this pod. I’m a United Methodist Pastor on a personal leave and completely rethinking spirituality and more so spiritual community, but not that the abandonment of my current spiritual identity. Rainn is doing great work shaping this crucial conversation. Thank you, Rainn Wilson!

Aniicole_Love this podcastSo far I love this this podcast! I can’t wait to see future episodes 🖖🏼

SmotherdaySuch a fun show!I just listened to the episode with Angela Kinsey and gained a new appreciation for Rainn and Angela as their characters and as individuals in the ‘real’ world. I’ve always been a huge The Office lover and the opportunity to listen in on conversations of the real people behind the characters was just so satisfying… It was like a real conversation you have with friends you hadn’t talked to in a long time. Totally enjoyable and I’m looking forward to more episodes of Soul Boom.
-
Wax SliverThank youThank you so much for having these conversations. I find it bringing me comfort in this turbulent modern age we find ourselves in. So again thank you, please keep going.
